NIEMI Painting & Decorating

I called these people multiple times for many months. Finally I was so disgusted with the peeling and seam separating that I gave up and called somebody else-- not an easy task, a there aren't a lot of folks doing wallpaper anymore. I think they must be out of business and just didn't turn off the voicemail.

I left an A rating when this work was done 7 years ago, but now... For the last 2 years or more I have been calling them to come take a look at how this wallpaper is peeling and separating at the seams with an eye to repairing it. The separations actually started about four years ago but they have progressed to the point where they're all over the place and looking really bad. These pictures are a fraction of the places that are affected. All interior walls, no water incursion. We have other wallpaper in the house that's over 30 years old and it's still perfectly intact, so I don't know 1) why this isn't and 2) why they do not call me back. I finally looked in Angie's List for somebody else and Angie's List has no other wallpaper hangers in my area so.... Not a happy camper here.

Our house was power-washed in one day, including the cedar shingle portion of our house and two-car garage, and painted by brush in 2.5 days. From 3 to 5 workers were on site each day, each working independently, yet together. Organized, clean and professional, their years of experience certainly showed in the way they went about their jobs, as well as in the final result. We could not be happier and would not hesitate to recommend Niemi Painting & Decorating.

I've used them twice. I had the cabinets redone after they initially painted them for me years ago. They took the doors off and took them to their shop. They then came back to reinstall them and paint them. It all went right on schedule. The painter showed up everyday. It went very smoothly. I would highly recommend them.

Took a while to get started due to the weather, but once under way, the crew stuck with it and did a very nice job. Very professional group. Neat and cleaned up nicely. Job was completed by the target date agreed to.

these guys painted my house, said it would last 5 years, and within a year it started peeling. I called them various times, left messages, actually spoke to Joe but never not once did they come out to look at the paint job. They're only good for easy stuff. Come by my house and I'll have my neighbors testify how bad they are. Sure there's good reviews but its when things go wrong that you get to know the character of people. These guys are veeeeery inconsiderate. Again...inconsiderate in that they blew me off for months. That's a subjective assessment...though i believe, accurate. However, paint peeling off until paint chips cover the lawn is not subjective. That's totally objective and completely true. Ask my neighbors if you don't believe me.

Joe should have his own show on HVTV, the house looks wonderful does not look like the old dingy place it was. His team was totally professional and easily fixed any issues as they went along. If you want to get what you pay for and then some this is the group to hire, i am totally satisfied with the job they did and would and have recommended them to anyone. I have hired them to do the outside of my house and already know it will be spectacular .

I contacted NIEMI about a complete exterior repaint of a house. This was a summer house, and I had to go up there especially to meet with various contractors. NIEMI took a week to get back to me. Since they couldn't come to give an estimate they day I was planning to be up there, I agreed to say an extra night *just to meet them* the next morning. 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time Joe called to say they wouldn't be able to meet me. So they inconvenienced me and kept me away from my family for nothing. If this is the lack of respect they treat their customers with when giving an estimate, I woulnd't want to find out what they're like on an actual job.

He did nothing except delay my job by six months.

Excellent service and quality. Paint crew was there on schedule and finished on time. They were neat, no paint where it wasn't supposed to be, put drop cloths down on shrubs and outdoor structures to protect them. The crew was professional, courteous and the quality of their work was excellent.

Excellent quality. Came when scheduled. ( that never happens on cape cod). Professional, neat, etc. pricing was very competitive.

You would be crazy not to consider this company. ALL crew (4 plus foreman Marty) were extremely personable, NEAT, and detail-oriented. The crew has been with the company for at least a decade. Work was impeccable, no areas were neglected. On the last day, while waiting for the deck to dry for the final coat, the guys were going over all previous work looking for any areas to touch up. Oh yeah, also, they listened to our favorite radio station while they worked.

Joe Niemi was very responsive in providing an estimate. He was very helpful in choosing paint colors. His crew was always on time, polite, professional and extremely neat. Their work was excellent!!! The kitchen looks amazing!!!

Joe was very prompt in coming to do an estimate. He provided us with a professional, detailed estimate of work to be done. Our job was pushed back a bit due to rain, but he kept us informed of an approximate start date. The work took a bit longer than he originally thought due to the fact that we added in staining the decks in the middle of the project and there was unexpected work that needed to be done on the body of the house (the work was not visible until the guys got on ladders and got up close). The guys that he has working for him were professional, courteous, and worked hard from the moment they got there until it was time to leave. We are very pleased with the work that was done. Our house looks beautiful and Joe and his crew worked diligently to complete the job in a professional manner in spite of the fact that some of the body work was unexpected. We very much appreciate that! We have them scheduled to come back and paint some of our interior. I think that speaks for itself!

Joe Niemi and his painting crew are a total pleasure to do business with. Unlike other painting contractors, this is a group of professionals who show up on time, ready to work, and stay with the job until it's finished (no disappearing act in the middle of the week, with the job half-finished). All unpainted surfaces are protected, they pay attention to the details, and do a thorough clean-up every night, including vacuuming all sanding dust from surfaces and floors. Once work commenced, crew was on site by 8am each day. Each member of the crew was professional and respectful. Work was completed efficiently. House looks great.

Very professional and prompt. I had a timetable to follow in order for the work to be done before my daughter's wedding. Everything was done to perfection and in tome for the wedding festivities.

Work quality was fantastic.. Some slight delays, but i feel like it was worth it.
