+ -1 moreThe brokers were helpful and responsive. They know the town (Natick) very well, which made them particularly effective in showing the house and the neighborhood. The house was on the market for 5 months, including months when I was traveling and they were entirely reliable and responsible with access and viewings. They gave me good advice about staging, open houses and offers. Their communication was frequent and timely. I did have to reduce the price from the initial level they suggested, but they got a solid offer and provided useful guidance throughout the closing process.
Description of Work: Acted as seller's agent for the sale of home.

Description of Work: We highly recommend Jane Anderson from William Raveis Real Estate. Jane has helped us sold our first house and bought the current one in Apr-Aug, 2010. Our first house had an accepted offer within 2 weeks of being on market. And when several issues came up during inspection, we were away on vacation and Jane contacted multiple contractors, discussed with seller, and kept us informed. We are really impressed with her doing above and beyond our expectations. Jane is diligent, enthusiastic, meticulous (she came to our first house 3 different of the day to get the best exterior photo), and always a pleasure to speak with. She is very punctual, and always returns a call within half an hour. We enjoyed working with Jane so much that we will recommend Jane to anyone we know who is considering selling or buying a house. Before we hired Jane to sell our house, we talked to another agency that has a lower commission, but their proposed asking price is 10% lower than what we consider fair (= later Jane's proposed asking price). We guess the lower price is intended to speed up sale and increase business volume in their interest. Still, that's not what we need. In the end the house was sold at 95% of asking price, still 5% higher than the asking price the other agency had proposed. So the bottom line is, do not shop for the lowest commission rate, the service is worth more than any difference in commission.
