Very good price for services; prompt and professional

I would recommend them highly - they were on time, polite, and on budget.

Russell Gates and his foreman, Ross Cigna, did a wonderful job, and the crew was very accommodating and worked very hard and were quite skilled. What was great about Ross, whom we worked with most closely, was his willingness to take extra care and to go all out on the project. He really tried to find out what we wanted and spent a lot of time and care with us. Both Russell and Ross wanted our house to look beautiful, and they succeeded. We ended up having them take over a lot of projects that we had been neglecting, and were extremely happy with what they did. Again, Ross was really good and careful at what he did, and went the extra mile. In addition to the original work, we asked them to stain our deck, redo our threshold, paint the house, and again Ross and his son were great. Then we decided to have Russell do landscaping for us, He changed the look of our yard, and was very knowledgeable about what to do about our hemlock trees that were looking very bedraggled. We are hiring them to do our landscape work from now on. We couldn't find good people to do work for us and now we feel that we have found people to help us take better care of our home.

It didn't. No follow up whatsoever.

Russell followed up with us and was very courteous and professional. We may utilize his snow removal services this winter.

However, he had never contacted me back via phone or email.

They are great! They built a patio for us and did a full seating of the backyard and both projects came out on budget. They were professional and it looks great. It cost ten thousand dollars. They did this last summer. I rate them an 'A'. I would say their price is pretty good. They were just excellent. I would use them again in the future.

We are very happy with their work. They come out when they are scheduled and they do a great job. They are open to anything and work with our schedules. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Snow plowing - we were consistently the last ones on the block to be plowed out. Not responsive - it seemed he wanted things his way and requests were not addressed. That would be ok if we weren't paying for premium service Landscaping - did a fine job. We felt the price was high for our very small front yard We found someone else eat end of last landscaping season

Lighthouse landscaping planned and executed a beautiful landscaping design which included removing old trees, adding new ones, rearranging existing planting to show them better and blend all the greenery together for a much more attractive front. The crew was especially neat, quiet and responsive all through the process. I'm looking forward to see the Spring look.

Russell Gates, who I presume is the proprietor, responded promptly to my emails regarding pricing and amount of snow removal. His responses were straightforward and easy to understand (which was certainly not the case for the person doing the work before him). The first snow removal was of lower quality than expected - coverage and snow melt application were both insufficient. I emailed him and the issues were promptly rectified. A subsequent invoicing error was rectified promptly. Overall, I have thus far found Lighthouse Landscape to be professional and businesslike in their approach, which is what I prefer. I'm very busy in my professional life, and strongly prefer being able to deal with issues quickly and by email so that I have more time to do my work and be with my family. In comparison to other firms this is a real strength at Lighthouse.

Did a good job overall, like all projects ran into some issues. Russ is very hands on and a good guy overall. Happy with the end product, get a lot of compliments, will rehire for future work.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Lighthouse came last minute during a very busy time of year with fall clean-up to assist with a huge fallen branch and discovered many other dead and dangerous limbs at various heights in tress on my property. I was very grateful for the discovered dangers that loomed overhead and near where my family lives, plays and sleeps. The team were very professional and the cost was spot on with the estimate. For the amount and scope of work, not to mention the added comfort, I was extremely pleased with the cost and services provided. Certainly I will use them in the future and I highly recommend calling them (even if you don't "see" any dangerous trees/limbs).

Lighthouse helped us design and install a patio. They showed up when they said and completed the work in a timely manner. Russell worked with us to help us stay on budget and still get the finished product we wanted. This is the second project we have used them for and we are very happy with the results on both. We definitely would use them again.

They did a wonderful job plowing--even shoveled the walks and shoveled out the cars! Great service during the blizzard even though they were understandably very late. Once they came when there was very little snow and it would have melted quickly anyway. I wanted to use them for yard work too, but they never responded to several calls and e-mails.

They were good and reliable. We spoke with them once on the phone and they were polite and very accommodating. Their price was fair.

Great. From start to finish I was very impressed with Russ and the entire Lighthouse team.

After the blizzard, I came home on Sunday Feb. 10th around 1pm to find that my driveway wasn't shoveled. When I called I was told that the men were tired and were taking some time but they would be there in 2 hours. Luckily my neighbor plowed a pathway with his snow blower so I could get into my garage. Since that didn't happen I called again and apologized for my emotional state but had just lost my son and not being able to get in my garage was upsetting. Russell called immediately and came in 10 minutes. Driveway was plowed and walk shoveled sloppily. I received flowers the next day. Told Russell I was disappointed especially since he told me when I hired him that he had 10 trucks on the road and I wouldn't have to worry.. During the last light storm he plowed my driveway just fine. I will use him again but if I have other problems I will find someone else. My driveway is very short and he is charging me $50 each time he plows which is at the top of the price range.

They were very good. The owner was responsively answered me quickly and delivered pretty quickly too.

I recently used Lighthouse for their snow removal services. They did an excellent job & I would certainly use them again in the future!

Russell did a great job with the design- I'd give it an A (even though we only did a about half the work he recommended). I'd give their stone work an A minus. First, make sure you have a really well-documented scope of work since we thought the cobblestone edging was part of our quote and then it turned to be an extra line item that we had to add on to the project later at additional expense. Also, a lot of the stone they used had significant gouges in it and we had to ask them to fix it after the project was completed. I'd give their fencing work a "D" grade. Part of the scope of work was to make a break in our vinyl fence and install a gate. I assumed they would BUY a gate to match the fence and install it. Turns out, they MADE their own gate out of pieces left over from cutting a break in our fence. Their home-made gate is flimsy and non-symmetrical. It looks bad, and now I need to call a fencing company to come and put in a real gate that is more solid and looks better. Overall, I would use them again for any patio or stone work, but probably not other things. I'd also recommend getting a very specific quote in writing so there are no misunderstandings.

Russell created a great design for us after listening to our preferences. He modified ideas to help us reduce the cost. His crew was always there when they said they would be, and they were professional and friendly. Russell was responsive whenever we had a question or wanted to talk about the next phase of the work. There was never any pressure to proceed, just flexibility to work around the schedules of others doing exterior work. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend Lighhouse Landscaping.

My husband contacted Lighthouse because he saw them working in the neighborhood. Russell Gates, the owner, came to our house, walked the property and discussed what it was we wanted to do. He worked with us to develop a plan, as the project was extensive, and he came back with a quote within seven days. Lighthouse began the project on time and they came in on budget. There were changes made along the way, different plantings and another wall, and working with Russell Gates on these changes was easy. The job was finished in time and we could not have been happier with the outcome. Our yard is beautiful.
