David's crew showed up on time and did a beautiful job on our floors. There was very little dust.

With a home purchase pending we called around to get quotes on hardwood refinishing and installation. The biggest obstacle was finding someone available in a short time frame. We knew we wanted the work down before moving in but the exact signing date was up in the air. Galvin Floor had many good review on other web sites and was at the top of my list. Initially they were not available the week I had asked for. However, they later called me saying that their schedule had freed up. They were more expensive than some of their competitors, however, their location, ratings and availability were key. David Galvin's team worked very professionally and completed the work in time. Best of all, I wasn't cleaning up wood dust for weeks later (they had even put up plastic sheets to keep the kitchen blocked off). All of the floor looked wonderful and still look wonderful a year later and still get compliments.

The entire experience was great. The crew got the floors down quickly and sanded and sealed within just a couple days.

David and Denise were helpful and professional from the start to finish including everything from our very first inquiries about hardwood floors to lingering final questions about care and maintenance. They were easy easy to get a hold of and responsive regardless of the significance of the question. In fact, we learned a great deal about hardwood floors in the process! The crew who installed the floors were very professional and courteous for the entire time they were at our house. The work was impeccable. We love our floors and are proud to show them off to friends and family.

It was a wonderful experience. His employees were very polite, neat, and always on time. They worked very hard and finished the job when promised. The end result was a beautiful hardwood floor and I would use them again in my home.

The estimate was much higher than I thought. I got another estimate that was lower but it had to do with the tile. The other company had some old tile that he was going to sell me for a lower price. I haven't actually had the job done yet. He was very nice and initially came out very quickly to measure the bathroom. He was very friendly and we chatted for a while. For some reason during the conversation I thought it was going to be a lot lower. I called him again and he provided the estimate but there was still a little delay. He followed up with an email to see if I got the estimate. It was a little high for what I wanted to spend right now. I don't know if I would get another estimate based on how expensive it was, but I would consider it.

We decided to have wide plank flooring installed in our home. We purchased the wood ourselves after getting a good deal so needed to find an installer. That was a little challenging as it seems that most HW flooring installers aren't familiar w/ wide plank installation. We found David through a flooring vendor and when he came up to give an estimate he had all the answers I was looking for through my research on installation, and w/o prompting. He was very booked up, which tends to be a good sign :) He booked about 3 months out maybe? But that was fine w/ us - we needed to have the wood acclimate anyway. He has two groups of guys come out - first the installers, then the finishers. The lead installer was really nothing short of an artist. It was very important to him that he chose boards that looked beautiful together- from the patterns the grain made to the width of the boards together (we had mixed width boards). They got here early and worked hard and were very friendly and willing to answer any questions. The finishers may have been just as friendly but that is pretty smelly work so we stayed w/ a neighbor while that was being done. We had Tung oil applied which takes 4 coats and therefore, 4 days, and couldn't be happier with the results. Even almost a year later we absolutely love our floors. We did have a hiccup where the wood supplier sent less than we'd ordered and the job couldn't be finished right away. Luckily that ended up ok and the vendor sent more down. David kindly talked to the vendor on our behalf, as well. As a result, we ended up installing the same flooring in the kitchen, which wasn't planned, because it just looked so beautiful, even incomplete. We also had a misunderstanding on the price due to not receiving the invoice until after the job was completed. In the end that worked out fine, too, and we learned a lesson about assuming we had all the facts w/o having it in writing. We would absolutely recommend this company to anyone wanting wide plank flooring installed or refinished. I believe they are above the average price point but honestly, they are worth it.

The craftsmanship was top notch. Workers kept work space very neat. They began when they said and completed on schedule.
