I have been working with Catherine & McClure Interiors for almost two years now and can honestly say it is an ongoing relationship that I truly value. Catherine and Dani are two highly qualified decorators with a great deal of knowledge, taste and resources. They have transformed every room in my home into an absolutely beautiful oasis. When I first started working with Cathy and Dani, I noticed how they both listened to what I wanted and took the time to get to know my taste. They would bring many different options for each room and if there was something I did not like it was not a problem for them to continue looking until I loved what was picked out. An important issue for me was that I could trust the people coming into my home. Every person Catherine & Dani brought into my home had worked for them for a number of years and I could tell right away they were good, honest people. Cathy & Dani are professional yet enjoyable and oh so fun to work with!!! Family and friends have commented on how my newly decorated home does not look like "the typical decorating job". That is exactly what I wanted something that was warm, inviting yet uniquely mine. Catherine & McClure went above and beyond to give me just that!!!

My wife and I hired Danielle and Catherine to decorate our new home and we are so glad we did! What we really appreciated about this design team was the way they pulled us out of our comfort zone. They made recommendations like painting our kitchen cabinets that we were hesitant to do but we took their advice and are absolutely thrilled we did. It transformed our kitchen. They also recommended using wall-coverings in certain rooms to warm those spaces. What they chose is perfect. The furniture and fabrics are beautiful and so comfortable. We've gotten so many compliments on the decor from friends and family. Catherine and Danielle have an amazing eye and can see things in a way that we were unable to. We are so glad we gave them the freedom to use their creativity. Although the project cost more than we originally intended we realized, in the end, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for?. In the past we approached decorating as a ? one room at a time? hit or miss endeavor-the end result was nothing close to the final, cohesive, warm look that Catherine and Danielle achieved. The result is beyond our expectations. We would hire them again in a second and plan to when we finish the ground floor.

Catherine & McClure had the space painted...every inch of it. They sourced furniture, fabrics, art, floor coverings and accessories. The finished product was photographed and appears on their website under Back Bay condo....and in New England Home Oct 2014. As I have said in other reviews, we give them all the freedom they need to work...the end result are spaces that are a reflection of us and our lifestyle, comfortable to live in and are timeless in their design. If you find yourself wondering if you should hire this firm, don't hesitate to make the decision to do so...you will not be disappointed.

We needed everything when we purchased this condo...and having worked with Catherine & McClure in the past with 2 additional homes, we knew we could put our trust in their hands and give them full control. I have found that you wouldn't ask your car mechanic or your physician, in fact, who are other professionals you hire to provide you service. The same concept should apply to your interior design firm...give them the freedom to apply their know-how and experience to your job in order to get the best result. Stay out of the way! They provided us with spaces that are just extraordinary. The guest bedroom is beautifully appointed and comfortable for our guest who visit the city. They can enjoy a sumptuous chocolate brown room...walls, floor covering to match. The bedding, the art, the cow hide throw on the floor all serve to bring the room together in a very Ralph Lauren feel. I'm told the bathroom offers them a space to rival an upscale hotel. Lastly, the library space is warm and cozy with comfortable couches and chairs for TV watching. The space is pulled together with pictures of family and friends. The team pulled this phase of the project off within budget and in a timely way...in order for us to move onto the main living space.

The Foyer phase of the project went extremely well. We have 3 separate units in our small brownstone and it was unanimous that CMI did an exceeding great job. The space had been dull and drab and oh so boring. Catherine and Danielle were given complete carte blanch to paint the walls, source new furniture, art, lighting and find a new floor covering. The end result is a space that we all so enjoy walking through multiple times a day/every day. And they used the best balance of creative know how to come up with a space that is unique and yet not SO unique as to be off the wall. They always seem to get that balance just right!

To me one of the most important aspects in choosing a decorator is to find a professional that you enjoy working with, one who listens to your wishes and also brings exciting new concepts to you. Working with Catherine and Danielle of Catherine & McClure Interiors, has been just that. At our first meeting I said I wanted an entirely new look, a "casual elegant" environment. The first step was to create a beautiful pallet for the walls. Next they found extraordinary fabrics, wallpaper, and carpet. Catherine and Danielle brought together an amazing decor! Our custom designed furniture is as comfortable as it is attractive. Exactly what I wanted. They also transformed our foyer with lovely large framed mirrors and carpet stair runners trimmed with leather . Our home has never looked so inviting and beautiful ! I hope you will have the pleasure of working with this dynamic decorating duo and enjoy the process as much as I did.

It wasn't great. They were very professional in what they do but they were very high-end. She didn't understand where we were coming from and she had all these very expensive plans for our house which were way beyond our budget. She was more concerned about getting percentage at what she sells. She was very pushy.

Two years after we love everything Catherine did. Some of the things she came up with, frankly, at the time I was really nervous about. However, after two years of living in the re-designed space, I am super pleased with every element of the work. She came up with a creative way of exploiting a narrow former pantry into a formal intimate dining room. Our family room is now a comfortable space where the family, and many friends gather... Our formal sitting room and entry is just lovely.

Recently transplanted from the west coast my husband and I purchased a large colonial - with great bones and ideal location but very little else to recommend it. We knew from the the moment we saw it that we could make this a home for us and our children, we just needed some help. In stepped Catherine and Danielle. They worked with us to design our dream home. They have a unique ability to both accommodate our personal taste and still push us when we need it. The result has been a beautiful home - and lots of laughs along the way.

We ran across the Catherine & McClure Interiors website when we were planning our project and the work they did was exactly what we were looking for in our own home. We were about to undertake a very large renovation and had talked to a number of local decorators but just couldn't get excited about the work that they showed us. After a very long initial phone conversation with Cathie Skaletsky we decided it was worth having she and her daughter, Danielle McClure, fly down to at least give us one on site consultation. Well, that was the best decision we ever made. They looked at our home and the architect's plans and immediately had such wonderful design ideas. I really didn't realize how many decisions went into a renovation like ours and without Cathie and Danielle's guidance it would have been overwhelming. They helped us pick up our cabinets, counter tops, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures and on and on. The fun, for me, really started when we got to the furniture, draperies, paintings and so on. They are incredibly talented, endlessly patient and a lot of fun to work with. I have to say, my house is spectacular and it simply would not have looked like it does without Catherine & McClure.

The end result is so amazing that it is hard to put into words. The space is so usable, but yet unique. The home gym and spa as well as the guest suite space flow seemlessly together. They were able to provide us an accurate estimate of the project start-to-finish and get the job done on time. The truly distinguishing element of working with Catherine Interiors is that their work is just-for-your-space unique. There is no prior style that is forced upon you...and the mixing of products...in our case, bamboo veneer on the walls, cork on the floors, basket weave stone on the spa and bathroom floors...wallpapers that you couldn't imagine how beautiful they look hung...all of this adds up to space that we are so over the top pleased with! On budget, on time and with unsurpassed quality...if this is what you are looking for, then you must call Catherine Interiors.

If you want one-of-a-kind work with a design asthetic that is unmatched...then Catherine Interiors is your interior design firm. They worked tirelessly from design to production to installation in order to get the best possible outcome. They think of every detail and provide some of the most original ideas I have seen. They provided the work within budget and when there was a time to renegotiate for additional funds, they knew exactly what was necessary. The work was performed on time...and given the custom nature of their work, they set realistic expecations as to when items would arrive in the home. The end result is space that we look forward to enjoying for years to come!

We met Cathie in a panic - having already gutted our bathroom and then realizing that we were overwhelmed to make any decisions. She proved herself invaluable; took charge of the situation and was able to work and communicate effectively with the contractor that we had already hired. After finishing the bathroom, we decorated the kitchen, family room and dining room. Catherine was instrumental in getting us organized and putting together all the right elements to redesign the bathroom, finding the perfect marble slabs, and all the right bathroom elements including fixtures. We then moved onto doing the family room. Catherine put together all the perfect elements including custom built-ins, new couches, and floor coverings. All of which needed to be family friendly - and safe for small children to climb on. Our family room is the perfect blend of beauty and function - we couldn't be more pleased. I think we have been most excited about the dining room project. We had a custom dining room table built, which blended beautifully with the antiques that she had found from her contacts around the country. Even with this, the room has remained functional. We have had great feedback from family and friends whom we've entertained. We have more projects planned with Catherine Interiors in the near future. We can't wait to see what new ideas Cathie and her team will bring to the table.

It went from decorating three rooms, to roof replacement, floor re sanding and staining to walls and trim to construction and demolition.

We were very pleased with Catherine's work and would highly recommend her to others. There were several reasons that we liked working with Catherine. Probably most importantly to us, Catherine told us at the start that she would take complete responsibility for all aspects of the renovations, whether done by her or by the other people that she brought into the house. She really did do that, and personally addressed every issue that came up. That mattered a great deal to us, because we had never attempted such a major renovation before. Catherine had a great sense of design and style for an older house like ours. She really changed the look of the house quite a bit, but did so in a way that respected and built on its distinctive existing features. The way that she worked with us was to present us with options for each room and refined those options based on our feedback. Every once in a while she asked us to take a chance on an option that she thought would really work well (like painting our woodwork, which we were hesitant to do) and in each case she was exactly right. Both Catherine and everyone she brought into the house were extremely professional and friendly. The house was always cleaned up at the end of the day and the work was organized in a way that was respectful of our schedules, including holidays or other family times.

Cathie put together an acurate estimate of the project and set out to pull together the most beautiful array of colors, fabrics and ideas to transform the rooms. She ordered a new dining room table which arrived exactly within the estimated time; she used her painter who was expert in his painting and wallpapering skills. The window treatments were done quickly and installed by professionals. Her team is top notch! The result was exactly what was promised in the time frame discussed. Cathie also made sure the changes to that room worked well with adjoining rooms and color schemes in the home. We couldn't be more pleased. The project was smooth and seamless and reflects Cathie's years of experience, network of professionals, and the joy she puts into her work.

Excellent! We redecorated living and dining rooms, a guest bathroom and an office. This was our first project with a professional interior decorator and Catherine Interiors gave us complete comfort and confidence in an outstanding result from the very first meeting. Outstanding design gave us rooms with beauty, warmth and unique elements that truly add a new dimension to our home and elicit endless compliments from all who visit. Cathy and Amy are dedicated, passionate professionals who demand and deliver excellent results, not just for their clients, but also for themselves, as they are not personally satisfied unless you absolutely love their work. They earned my confidence and trust quickly upon meeting them given their personal, approachable, fun manner, and that confidence was reiterated with the very first piece they recommended for me, which demonstrated how fully they understood my style. Their ideas were creative and original as I expected, but their ability to create and explain a vision, advise and coach me through it, and make recommendations beyond my comfort zone were all key components to the success of the project. They are fun to work with, flexible, enthusiastic, patient and can make any space magnificent. Hire them! You will not be disappointed.

I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the project and look forward to engaging Catherine Interiors on future projects. The process was fun, seamless and thoughtful through the communication style Amy offered. The project transformed the living room entirely to match the aesthetic of a residence on Boston Common, while reflecting my personal style. It's important I highlight the unique ability for Catherine Interiors to thoughtfully incorporate new, fresh ideas to cultivate and achieve the vision.

I am extremely satisfied with the end results, in terms of quality, workmanship, and aesthetic sense. It suits the rest of the home beautifully. If I had the chance to go back and redo it, I would do it the same way again, however, I would handle the situation a little differently. Both Amy and Cathy have superb aesthetic sense, however, I found that they have strong personalities. I found them so sure that they were doing a beautiful job that as a customer I felt their customer service was lacking. When it came to how I was going to use the space, they didn't ask me the details of how we use it. I was disappointed that no one intended to discuss where I was going to store things in my kitchen, for example. They really made me feel that I wasn't the customer. Any conversation you had was in a room with a lot of people and they don't understand private conversations and the need for them. The bottom line is I absolutely love the work they did and the final outcome, my only creative criticism to them would be to more down to earth and try to listen more effectively and set aside time to discuss the project details in private. They did a brilliant job. My home has a warm, inviting personality that it never had before.

We did not continue working with them because I did not want to commit to their contractor without knowing who they are. In our initial home visit, they requested a $2500 deposit, which we never discussed before.

The results were fantastic! The family room is to die for, and with the other smaller projects, it now all ties together. They have a fantastic eye for what works together, including window treatments, upholstery, furniture, carpeting, wall color, accessories. We thought our house looked pretty good before. But now it is exceptional; a true designer feel. We thought their terms and fees were very reasonable. We highly recommend them to anyone that wants a house to be a cut above the rest!

I know of few interior design firms who will make such a painstaking effort to be sure all the elements of the project come together and they worked well with the general contractor and various sub contractors. In the end, the final product is a beautifully designed and decorated 4500+ sq.ft home!!

Cathie has made our home one we can't wait to come home to, a home which reflects us & our tastes. She handles as much of it as you want, including arranging for delivery, being there when things are delivered, making sure things are done right & coordinated. She was a pleasure to work with. Her contractors are also pleasures to work with. We ended up relying on her & investing a lot in antiques, which made the cost of the job quite high. Costs were much higher than we anticipated, but that's not Cathie's fault, just that we didn't know how much things would cost. Overall, we were very hesitant about hiring an int. designer, but we've been extremely happy w/the results w/Cathie. I said cost was $30K. I wanted to make it clear that didn't include cost of antiques, which in our case include furniture, paintings, oriental rugs, etc. The total amt we spent, including all these things, was about $350K. (Just wanted to add this to clarify how much money in total was involved).

She was invaluable and right on the mark with assessing our lifestyle and tastes, and bringing her expertise, as well as those on her design team, into our project. We developed a comfortable rapport with Catherine and found that nearly all her suggestions were the right suggestions. She has a very strong color sense, as well as an eye for detail and space planning. She was an ally and not a dictator, in doing this project for us. The crafts people she employed on the project for us were all top of the line and the timeline that we were assured was very close to the original projected date of completion. She uses the best carpenters, painters, decorative painters, tile and stone workers, drapery and upholstery people. They collaborated brilliantly to give us results beyond our expectations. We love our new space! While Catherines' pricing was somewhat higher than we planned to spend, we wouldn't do it any other way. Her warmth and professionalism are rare, we loved her!
