PC HEATING, PLUMBING & AIR CONDITIONING

PC wanted to charge me almost $1000 for a job which was estimated by others at $350. Avoid at all costs. I told them no despite laying out $120 for their diagnosis.

Overall it was a fair experience. Things to note: 1. Their phone number directs you to a calling service who then passes your information on and they return your call. There is no way to get in touch with them directly unless they wanted to call you. 2. Technicians arrived on time and were professional and courteous. 3. They wanted to charge an arm and a leg for air filters that needed to be replaced. The person was upfront to say it is for their labor to run out and get filters. I would have thought that they would want to stock air filters in the van as it is one of the most common things to replace. Instead of having them do it, since we live so close to Home Depot, I was able to get it myself at a fraction of cost while they did other work. Not a clever sales strategy on their part. 4. Even though we told them of the issue, they did not fix it correct the first time. They had to come back. They did not charge for diagnosis for the second visit, but still we paid more for the same issue. I wonder if what we paid for the first time when they supposedly fixed the issue was something that was required?

Very well. Technician diagnosed the problem, inspected the entire system, gave me heads up for future maintenance and suggested things I could do to keep system running better.

Found the leak easy enough. They had the right tools and experience. The pipe was left loose from another contractor ! Very friendly, very professional, and appt. was right on time and they came out asap !

Three weeks after the visit I hadn't received an estimate so I called them. They were nice on the phone but the technician was on not in. After a couple of days I got the estimate emailed and it was for a completely different scenario that what I'd requested and triple the price with no explanation. I could have made some progress in looking for other vendors or exploring other ways to save on heat, but waiting for them and then having them be unresponsive to what I'd requested was unprofessional and very unhelpful.

Chris checked out the fireplace and determined that the speed control was the problem. He is looking into ordering a part. The problem (noisy fan) was partially corrected when he repositioned the fan. The workers were both highly professional and knowledgeable. I appreciated that they did not jump to just replacing the whole fan unit which was recommended by another company.

This is my first time to use PC plumbing. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled time. Might be due to traffic. But the service was done efficiently and professionally. The technician even spent time to answer my other plumbing questions. Will use them again.

Tried getting a quote for to 1) remove a fireplace, 2) convert to HVAC and 3) remodel kitchen. Never received quotes for the fireplace or HVAC despite following up via phone and email. They cancelled the first kitchen appointment five minute before it was to occur on the morning of and also couldn't arrive on time a second time despite a two hour window. It is simply unprofessional to not provide quotes and to not show up for appointments as scheduled.

Steve went out his way to find a service date after I had to cancel my original date for a fireplace repair. On the scheduled day, Steve arrived early, diagnosed the problem with the fireplace in short order, told me exactly what the cost would be, retrieved a new part and quickly repaired unit. He then cleaned the unit at his own initiative, cleaned up and left. The fireplace hasn't worked as well or looked as good in years. I will definitely use this company again.

Came on time diagnosed the problem, told me the price, went to get a part, and came back and replaced the defective switch.

We just a moved into a house with a gas fireplace that had not been working perhaps for years. Steve came on time to give me a free estimate and why he thought it wasn't working. He thought he wouldn't be back before the holidays to service and replace the part but they were able to come sooner. He came in as scheduled, kept a tarp down for tidiness and went right to work. The fireplace now works great and and it was fabulous to have the fireplace working for the holidays!

They came out and gave me an estimate, at that time I was told that they had to order the part from the manufacturer and it would take about 4-6 weeks. After about 7 weeks I called them and the part had not come in yet and that they were in constant contact with the manufacturer and the part was back ordered. I called back a week later and was told the part still was not in. They then went and found another supplier who had the part and scheduled a time with me to install it. The installer came on time and did a fabulous job of fixing our fireplace. The part still had not arrived from the manufacturer, In the mean time I received a gift card from the company which I used in the final payment. I would definitely use P.C.Heating again.

Called PC and spoke to a woman about having a gas fireplace (purchased elsewhere) installed. We had a wood-burning fireplace already. See was courteous and professional and had, I think it was the installer get back to me which he did within a day. He also was courteous and professional. I did not need to pick up our fireplace/equipment PC did it. The day of the appointment they called me to insure I was home and they arrived right on time, of the scheduled appointment. The workmen introduced themselves when they arrived, very polite. PC brought their own electrician, and already had pulled/filled out the necessary permits, removed our old firebox, installed the new firebox. PC put down a tarp to cover my floor, they were meticulously neat and organized. PC also took the time to go over the operation with me till I understood it. The time it took was the time they had told me it would take and the original estimate was indeed the total price, which was written legibly. Just this week I had a concern about the fireplace, called PC and within a day a tech. called me back and resolved my problem quickly, in the midst of the hectic blizzard/fall fireplace busy season. No answering machine, I was able to talk to a person each time I called. Overall PC is he best contractor I have ever hired...and I have hired many over the years. My overall assessment of PC is "outstanding professional contractor". I have have been recommending PC Heating Plumbing and Air conditioning to my family and friends.

It has been a long time since we've used another plumber so I don't know how to compare them, but I don't know that they are any more expensive than other places. The toilets and the spigot are fine, but the faucets didn't get fixed and they actually damaged them in the process. I wasn't real pleased with how that happened. They were very good about getting back to me.

I thought they charged too much.

I have used PC since moving to my present home 5 years ago, and the prior owners had used them for many years before that and recommended them to me. The firm's longtime owner retired in 2010, but the current technician had in fact serviced my units before and has been with the firm for several years. He was prompt, thorough, and followed up at my request by quoting a price for a part my gas fireplace will likely need within approximately a year. I expect to continue using this firm both for routine annual servicing and for any unanticipated repairs.

They came on time and showed real concern about our problem. They fixed the problem quickly and took care not to do any damage to our shower/tub area as they worked.

He came very promptly. I was very pleased. He did the job and came very promptly. He was pleasant and worked quickly and efficiently. I would definitely use him again.

Mr. Castellucci had done work for the prior owner of my house (I found service records when I moved in); he came promptly the first time I called him in 2005, and I have used him exclusively since. He does annual maintenance on a Burnham gas boiler; has been exceptionally diligent about trying to identify and resolve a summer season issue with boiler ignition, and maintains my gas fireplace. He has also done routine plumbing repairs and responded immediately when I called him to identify and repair a leak apparently caused when movers cracked a pipe during move-in. He comes when agreed, and work is done thoroughly and at reasonable cost. It is a pleasure to work with him.

I was called back very quickly and a very competitive quote was provided. They were also able to perform the work on the day requested. Another vendor was chosen only because they were (by chance) the one I had called first.

HAD TO RUN PIPES OUT OPPOSITE SIDE FROM WHERE THEN HAD BEEN...IN AN OLD HOUSE. DID A GREAT JOB
