marble & granite
+ -1 morePrior to work, Chris sent me an email with the estimate. He also answered all questions and gave references that highly recommended him. Even though Chris came a little late to repair the stair, he called to let me know. He worked with one other person and finished the job that day. Even though they had to mix cement, everything was left neat and clean!
Description of Work: A marble step in the front entrance to our apartment/condo building was broken. Chris replaced it and the step above it. It looks beautiful!

+ 0 moreChris is very nice, informative, and easy to work with. He was here for about half a day, then left his assistant to complete the work. His assistant cleaned up before leaving. We're happy with the finished product, both the materials and quality of the work. The only problem was that a small piece of backsplash initially didn't fit, nor did the first replacement, so we had to wait a few days for the work to be completed. Everything else was done in one day.
Description of Work: Chris and an assistant removed our old Formica countertops and installed a granite surface (total, approx. 17' x 2' x 1.25" thick) and 4"-high backsplash. The granite has a warranted 15-yr sealer that was pre-applied. They also disconnected and removed a sink and installed an under-mounted stainless steel sink, which they provided and accounts for about $225 of the above price (excluding faucets). They disposed of the old countertop. We declined the offer to connect the plumbing for the new sink for $200.

+ -1 moreChris had to work around our Contractor which was not easy. The job took too long and Chris had to fit us into his schedule whenever the Contractor finally got around to doing his part so that Chris and his tiler could continue. Working with Chris was a great experience. He is easy to work with and does a wonderful job. We are so pleased that we found him and would certainly use him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for marble, granite or tiling. He works along side an Interior Designer, Bonnie Parker Designs, who actually supplied our additional kitchen cabinetry and both our bathroom vanities. It was so much easier being able to work with Chris and Bonnie together.
Description of Work: Took out the old butcher block in the kitchen and replaced with Uba Tuba Granite. Approx 59.21 sq ft + 4.41 sq ft backsplash. Tiled kitchen backsplash in other areas, approx 25 ft x 1.5 ft. Mounted under-counter sink. Supplied material and installed sub-floor in bathroom approx 70 sq ft. Supplied and installed marble countertop and mounted 2 under-counter sinks. Installed approx. 281 sq ft of wall tile, some with intricate detail especially around the 6 ft vanity mirror, and 70 sq ft of marble floor tile with thresholds. Supplied and installed double marble vanity countertop with 2 under mounted sinks in master bathroom. Tiled backsplash and large steam shower with intricate pattern design. Supplied and installed marble shower threshold and shelves. Sealed all worktops and tile where necessary.
