The work was prompt and professional. They did an excellent job, and identified (and corrected) several problems that we had been unaware of.

The technician arrived 2 hours later than promised. Once he arrived, he was polite and courteous and got right to work. He worked efficiently and was done in about 20 mins. He was also careful to clean up any mess that resulted from the process.

The ''technician'' named Keith was extremely bright, and polite, I felt very comfortable with them, and could tell they weren't irritated that I was curious- (I like to learn all I can) I can see why the company gets positive reports.

They finally sent someone out to do an estimate. He preceeded to do some work for me in the shower, and did a nice job. He then signed me up for one of their long term service contracts. The problem that I had was a leaky shower. He said someone would come out and look at that. The guy that they sent out was saying how he needed to open the ceiling up and look at the pipes. The fellow that did come and do work, I was pleased with. I did receive a discount for signing the contract.

We were very happy with Winters; they gave us a prompt, accurate estimate, provided a clear and well written contract that outlined all services, and sent a very polite and professional team that managed the entire replacement process very quickly and efficiently. What we really appreciated was their communication; they did an excellent job of flagging some unexpected issues they discovered (like the faulty intake/outflow piping) and asking us for input on how to proceed. We have already used them repeatedly for additional work, and will continue to do so.

The staff was extremely polite. My issue is that they didn't address 2 of the 4 items I had wanted them to fix -- new heating coil in our water heater and the poor water pressure in our well. The 3rd item (tub downspout) they couldn't find the parts for, so they only fixed 1 thing (the leaky kitchen faucet). This is despite the fact that I had been very clear when setting up the appointment all the work I needed done. I scheduled a time for them to come back several weeks later to fix the 3rd item and estimate the first two items. They were supposed to arrive between 8-10 AM. The day before, they rang and said they couldn't come before 10. The morning of the appointment they called and said they weren't coming at all because the part had still not arrived. My husband had stayed home from work to meet them that day. And they refused to come back on a non-work day to finish the job. Well, now they won't need to bother because I am going to find someone else.

Scheduling was much easier than expected. John was knowledgeable & not the least bit pushy when offering suggestions. Definitely were "for the future" instead of pushing to do things now. Toilet is greatly improved. And it is nice to know we actually have a working sprinkler system (we werent sure). Definitely would recommend this company.

Winters has done top quality work for several projects at our Church. We had a flood last year and they really made extra effort with drains and sump pump. We are a small Church and squeezed by their prices; we're considering trying another service to get some price relief.

On time, clean, efficient, professional, and reasonable.

Keith was professional, kept the work area clean and the work looks good. Prices are high to start ($400 to install the dishwasher if an existing one is there). Work took about 3 hours including going out to get another part.

They initially said theyd come Thursday afternoon, but called to inform me they couldnt make it till Friday morning. That wasnt ideal, but was understandable. The problem is that they made the wrong diagnosis -- a part to be replaced for $530. (They also recommended other services for an extra $900.) It sounded like a lot, so I got a second opinion. It turned out that a connector simply wasnt plugged in securely! The other service provider made the correct diagnosis immediately, and demonstrated that the supposedly malfunctioning part worked just fine. My actual cost was $125.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THEY DO QUALITY WORK. THE PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCED AND WELL TRAINED. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY SEND THE PEOPLE IN ON TIME. IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE THEY FIX IT, AND THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE.

The emergency work (as always) was very expensive- though they were prompt even though many in Boston were having problems at the same time. We weren't that happy with the emergency work- but we did think their later visits were productive and very honest.

The receptionist took my number and had a technician call me back, to see if they could solve the problem without an emergency service call. They called back quite promptly and were very polite and helpful.

Plumber was on time. It was much more expensive than I expected. Angie's list should write an article on how to negotiate prices. The job was several hundred dollars but took about an hour.

I have used Winters before and their service is consistently excellent. As other members have stated, they are premium priced, but I feel that they provide premium service. Work was completed as scheduled and as expected. The toiled repair required extra work, which I was informed of in advance as well as given the expected price in advance. I am sure there are lower cost plumbers in the area, but I am drawn to Winters for their high degree of quality and professional approach.

I find that they do good work and I have no complaints about that. I feel though, as they find more work to do than necessary and probably wouldnt hire them because of it.

We were glad to have a company who dealt itself with the tile issues that come with a regulator install. That job was done quickly and well. The second job, which had to do with wall repair and grouting was ok, but a little less smooth, as they made a scheduling error, not showing when they said they would. They were apologetic and showed soon after. The work was completed successfully.

Expensive (cost included a $100 after hours surcharge), but courteous and knowledgeable staff. In addition to performing the repair, they took the time to explain what they were doing in detail. I felt like I got a mini-plumbing lesson. Also, I was able to get them to my home on very short notice.

The work was done on time. The plumber wore those great surgical booties to keep our floors clean. Initially the tubing to the fridge was too long, which meant we couldn't put the fridge all the way against the wall. They came back out the same week and fixed it. The prices from Winters are a little on the high side, but you get what you pay for.

I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD COME OUT AND LIGHT THE PILOT AND THEY HAD NO ONE AVAILABLE FOR TWO DAYS.

Plumber was on time, extremely professional, and seemed very competent. I received a call immediately for a follow up appointment for an estimate. The cost was high for initial visit given the issue was not resolved. I feel, however, that it was my fault that he did not know about utility room/pump until 2 hours after he arrived. The replacement of the pump has not been completed at this point, in that the basement toilet is not used. (We have 2.5 additional bathrooms in the house). Now that holidays are over, I have made the follow up appointment. More to come.....

Was on time, polite and seemed reasonably priced.

Accommodated my schedule, explained the problem clearly, did the work well, helped with preventing a recurrence. Reasonable price. A pleasant experience overall.

JOHN DUFFEY WAS ON-TIME, POLITE, AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I WOULD SAY I FEEL THE PRICE WAS A BIT MORE THAN I EXPECTED, BUT I AM REALLY NOT FAMILIAR WITH PLUMBING PRICES. HE SAID HE KNEW THAT THE COMPANY WAS ON ANGIES LIST AND THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED SOME OTHER JOBS FROM PEOPLE USING ANGIES LIST.
