VAUTOUR PAINTING

My husband and I were moving out of a home we lived in for 28 years and had an inordinate amount of old furniture, paint, hardware, glass, trash etc. in our enormous basement. I asked a friend if she knew anyone who might help us remove and clean out the entire area prior to putting our place on the market and she recommended Doug. What a treasure he is! Though the basement cleaning service is a new one Doug is offering, in addition to his successful painting business, he is experienced in myriad repair work around the house and was invaluable to us. First we needed a window sash fixed very quickly and Doug accommodated us in one day. Second, our basement was a true disaster area and within a week, Doug had removed everything and taken it away, leaving us with a remarkably clean basement. Third, we needed to get rid of several pieces of old, cumbersome furniture in our house and Doug managed to take the pieces apart to make them more easily removed, and carted them away. He also glued together a lovely wood desk we had in need of repair. He did all the aforementioned work within a week and for a total of roughly $1000, which was a real bargain. Moreover, he is an incredibly nice, trustworthy guy. I can't recommend him highly enough!
