Sir Grout of Greater Boston

Ever since I bought my condo many years ago I'd been wanting to have my shower grout and caulking fixed. I finally took care of it with Sir Grout and wish I hadn't waited so long because there was mold behind a section of tiles and the tiles had to be removed and the section bleached. Chris W. (owner) was very prompt and professional in all of his communication. He definitely knows how to run a business. Chris the technician was professional and capable. The job ended up taking a lot longer than he expected because of the number of tiles that had to be removed. He did a great job removing the tiles and then replacing the same tiles after the area was bleached. He only chipped one tile (very small chip) and that was quite impressive to me. You can barely see where it was chipped. I had no spare tiles so he had to work with the tiles already on the wall. I still don't know how he was able to do it, but it looks great. The overall job is good and I can finally feel good about my shower. I also had the caulking around my bathroom sink re-done, but that as a very minor job compared to the shower. The price was very fair and Angie's members get a small discount. Chris W. is a great owner and knows how to treat his customers and staff.

We purchased a condo in Boston. Bathroom tiles, grout, and caulk were in need of serious "revitalization". Chris is very responsive to requests, candid about work needed, not needed, what would be hard, what would be easy. He emailed a quote breaking down various options within an hour of visiting us, stopped by while work was being done to check on progress, and followed up afterward to ensure that we were satisfied. The job took most of a day to complete. The tech did a great job repairing cracks in the grout and replacing old caulk around the shower. Bathroom looks fantastic now, and we can use the shower without water getting behind the tiles. We're very pleased with results, recommend Sir Grout.

This company knows what customer service is all about!! Contacted the company, spoke to the owner, he came to my home, looked at both bathrooms, and the kitchen floor, we discussed options, we came to agreement on work effort. The owner created a work order with a price giving me a $50.00 discount which was great! He wasn't able to begin work for 3-4 weeks due to their schedule when we met, however, a few days later he had an opening and was able to get the work done within 2 weeks of his visit. The technician showed up on the date and time we agreed to, we reviewed the work order, and then we discussed the kitchen floor. The kitchen floor is 15X19 and there was one tile on the outer edge that was broken. I tried to find a replacement tile (impossible) or an accent tile with no luck. We agreed to grout the old tile back together (which I discussed this option with the owner our first visit in the event I could not find a tile replacement) which would be less of an eye sore then putting an accent tile that would stick out even more. The technican evaluated the situation and gave the option to replace the broken tile with a good tile under the refrigerator. This worked out flawlessly! He re-grouted, caulked and sealed two bathrooms (upstairs shower was leaking into the downstairs bathroom) and was able to re-groute a couple of cracked tiles in one bathroom to the point where you would not know tiles were cracked! He was able to match the grout color in both bathrooms and the kitchen, and he also added some grout around a kitchen sink and sealed a window in the bathroom at no additional cost. If you have a shower that's leaking and you can visibliy see that grout is missing, don't call anyone else except for Sir Grout!! This company is a 10!!

Very responsive to request for quote, came out right away, and then scheduled the work quickly. One bathroom had a fiberglass shower stall where the grout was almost completely gone, the other was a ceramic tile bath surround where some of the grout had worn away and other parts were discolored. The worker arrived right when he said he would, was quick and very professional, and both bathrooms came out great. Would highly recommend.

I made an appointment online and was contacted almost immediately via email by Chris the owner who confirmed the appointment for the free estimate. Chris showed up exactly on time and was very professional, removing his shoes before entering our home. He took great care to make sure he understood all of the work we needed and made recommendations based on our needs. By the end of the day, he provided an estimate via email that listed in great detail all of the work that would be performed. Each element of the work was on a separate line with a price for each service. Chris made it clear I didn't need to have all of the work performed at once, I could choose from the various services and the price for each was listed. When I told Chris I wanted to move forward with all of the services, he told me of 3 dates in the coming weeks on which his technician would be avaialble. I chose a Friday morning about two weeks away. Chris said his technician, also named Chris, would be arriving between 9:00 and 9:30. A little before 9:00, tech Chris called and said he was stuck in some traffic but would be there by 9:30. He arrived just before then as promised. Tech Chris was very professional and went over the work he was going to perform before we started. He had owner Chris's detailed estimate by his side the entire time. Our bathrooms were only two years old. They had been completely renovated when we purchased our home two years ago. However, the contractor had taken some shortcuts to complete the home on time. The grout had not been sealed and grout had been used in the joints where caulk should have been used. The grout in the joints had dried and cracked in many places, making it very difficult to keep clean and allowing water to leak through in many areas. Sir Grout steam cleaned and sealed all of the grout on the floors and shower tiles. He removed all of the grout from the joints in the shower, on the floor, and around a window in one shower and replaced it with caulk. The color was matched perfectly to my existing grout. Both bathrooms now look great. Tech Chris left the place spotless and provided an instruction sheet with details on how to maintain and clean the grout and caulk. I would highly recommend Sir Grout.

I called Sir Grout and scheduled an appointment with Chris Wyand to look at the job. He explained the work to me and gave me a verbal quote while he was there and he also e-mailed it to me with a complete explanation of the work to be done. The day the work was to be done the technician arrived and removed his shoes before entering the house. Even though he had to make several trips in and out to get his equipment he always removed his shoes before walking through the house. Chris also removed his shoes during his visit, but I have never had a technician do that. I appreciated so much that this company respects a person's home in that way. The technician worked steadily for two hours. When he was finished he showed me what had been done and provided instructions on what type of cleaning products should be used to keep the tile and grout in the best condition possible. One surprise was that he said I couldn't use the shower for 48 hours to ensure that grout and caulk dried. Chris Wyand had told me 24 hours. Since this is my only shower, that was a bit bothersome, but a minor inconvenience. Overall I am very happy with the work and I have a clean shower again. I would definitely recommend Sir Grout.

He was very prompt and came right away. They were very polite and nice. I was just not happy with the terms and conditions that they wanted me to sign on. He was very professional.

It went well, I did have to call him back because part of the grout was coming up. They came back and fixed the issue. It looks great now.

The job went well. After some confusion on scheduling the technician showed up on time, worked steadily all day, did what appears to be and excellent job, and the owner checked in on him during the day. The results look very good, and we are very pleased with the outcome. We would definitely recommend them for this type of work.

I was very happy with how all the floors turned out. They arrived on time. Performed the service well. Cleaned up thoroughly. Responded quickly to my request to make a change. It is hard to judge the price as I didn't find any other provider that provided this type and level of grout cleaning and restoration. Well worth the money!

The technician, Patrick, came at 10:00 and worked quietly & efficiently. He was done by 3:00. He didn't use any toxic chemicals so there were no fumes. He was polite and enthusiastic. The bathroom floor tiles look brand new.

I'm super pleased. I've been wanting to address the issue of the grout in this bathroom since I purchased the condo over 5 years ago. The grout was filthy and made some of the imperfections on the tile floor look even worse.After the cleaning, it is beautiful. The grout matches the tiles and even the imperfections are almost invisible. It looks like a brand new floor. So terrific. In addition, the team (Chris - sales rep and Chris - technician) were terrific to work with. Friendly, professional and very responsive. I'd recommend Sir Grout to anyone!

He made a very straightforward presentation. He did exactly what he said he would do. Frankly, I left him alone in the house because I had to get to work so it was very important to me that he show up and he did. They are excellent.

Chris Wayland and his team worked very hard to restore our marble bathroom tiles which had been damaged by the application of an inappropriate cleaner. Despite the fact that the tiles were beyond restoration (the damage was too significant) they made repeated attempts, were very communicative throughout and didn't stop until all options had been exhausted. Under any other circumstance, I believe Sir Grout would have been successful. They were a pleasure to deal with and I would use them again anytime for the types of services they offer!

I thought they did a really good job. The were a little slow. However, the quality of work was really good, and the price was reasonable.

I had scheduled an appointment using their online program, and noted I was looking to get an estimate earlier if at possible. I got a call the next day, and Chris was in a few days later to give me an estimate. Chris came in and gave me a price based on the square footage. A week or so later, Pat came in and did the work on my floors. I had a large finished basement area cleaned (tile), a large dining room wood floor cleaned and polyutrethaned, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. All the floors came out amazing, I had no idea the kitchen tiles were as light colored as they are now, they look like a completely different tile. Both Chris and Pat were excellent to deal with, and I highly recommend them. On his way out, Pat even fixed a broken fence picket I had been meaning to get to.

Scheduling for an estimate was easy and prompt. The bid for work was immediate and a schedule for the work to be done was with the next 2 weeks. The technician arrived on time and completed the work in the time frame I had been told to expect (about 5 hours). In short....we were AMAZED at how well this project turned out! We knew going in it would be a vast improvement, but we didn't really expect the finish product to feel like new tile, however it really does. We love the fact that we can defer the big project of completely redoing the bathroom until a more convenient time...but at this point we feel that time can be much further off. We also love that we are deferring filling the landfill with old tile. How green is that? In closing, if you have a bathroom that is tired and in need of a facelift and repair...this could be a great choice...and our experience with Sir Grout of Boston was really super.

First, let me say that if all contractors were like the crew from Sir Grout, it would be a wonderful world!! Chris came and gave me an estimate on Monday April 8th. He was so friendly and competent he put me at ease immediately. He did a thorough job of looking everything over, asking me what results I wanted and even offered to do a little extra work to make our counter look good. He gave me my estimate right there on the spot and emailed me a copy as well. They don't normally work on Saturdays but when I explained that we were putting our house on the market soon, he called his crew and asked if they could work on Saturday April 13th. They said yes and showed up right on time this morning. They were also very friendly. They worked from 9:30 until 4:00 with no breaks. They were very respectful of our space and after the work was done thoroughly cleaned up, even washing the floor. The tiles look spectacular and the counter looks brand new. I would recommend them to anyone! They were awesome!

Sir Grout did an excellent job from start to finish. They transformed our tired, grimy bathroom--in 100 year old house--to one that looks sparkling and new. All of our contacts with Chris Wyand were professional and positive; the technician went above and beyond to get the best possible results. We couldn't be more pleased with the experience and the outcome.

Two technicians from 9 am to 2 pm stripping, grouting, and finishing the floor. They left and we sat in the lobby for the required one hour to prevent anyone from accidentally stepping on it as it dried. After two hours, we noticed a strange pattern stain and called Chris. He came by the next day to view the "stain" and immediately scheduled a second restoration. We were impressed with his efforts and his professionalism. The floor is much improved.

While our tiles were not in terrible shape, they bore the wear of over 30 years. Despite dedicated cleaning efforts in the bathroom tub, mold will (and does) eat at grout and become visible. Our tile and grout are now spotless - and I mean spotless. The before/after pictures are on target. I had been thinking of regrouting the tile, but Sir Grout's methods made this completely unnecessary. Chris W was very straightforward about whether Sir Grout's methods would improve our wooden floors. He felt there was too much wear for his method to make us happy. A light cleaning of the areas (mostly at doorways) really helped. The bannisters and stair treads (on either side of the carpet runner) have more luster. I appreciated Chris' honesty about the match between his methods and our needs. We saved money; he saved time and made me feel confident about his opinions. The slip resistant product is a delightful addition - no more funny rubber mats or decals. Chris' estimates are very detailed. They tell you everything that will be done in clear and direct language. This is very helpful in keeping communications clear. Chris and Sir Grout techs were prompt in arrival, diligent in their work, and a pleasure to work with. They left all work areas very clean. I've already recommended Sir Grout to some friends and would be very happy to work with them again.
