Roberto's Affordable Landscaping

I hired Roberto's Landscaping to do some basic lawn work. I found them to be extremely responsive - very good in terms of communication and setting up a time for the work. I wasn't at home when they did the work but it appeared to be very thorough with a good amount of seed spread across my lawn. The price was extremely fair and I would definitely use them again.

It went really well! He explained to me what I needed and what to do to maintain it. I will hire him as my regular lawn maintenance guy! I wasted a lot of money with Lawn Doctor no more! Can’t wait til next year to see the results.

Within a few hours of posting a request for estimate on the work, I got a call and visit. We've lived in our house for 5 years and had never had professional yard/landscaping done so it was a big and messy job. Jose Roberto and I discussed the project and price and the team started immediately. I was impressed by the speed and hard-work... by mid-afternoon all the work was completed and our property looked fantastic and orderly! Specifics of the work: - 3 large (5'x5') shrubs removed - 2 smaller (2'x2') shrubs removed - all other shrubs pruned and cleaned up (about 5-6) - border weeded, edged and mulched - beds made ready for new plants - yard mowed and raked - whole property cleaned up and ALL debris removed The team went above and beyond cleaning up our easement, sidewalk and patio/path area. It was worth the cost!

We had 4 large, and in various stages of dead, locust trees that we have been concerned would take out our roof if the wind blew the wrong way. They have been dropping larger and larger branches over the last few years. Called Jose a few weeks ago for an estimate and he came right out and gave me one. Decided to use him and he got his crew out the next day. Took the trees down without incident. Took the wood away that I didn't want. Left me with the wood I wanted and stacked it neatly where I wanted. My neighbor had a dead tree in his yard and they took care of him while they were here. I would definitely use him again.

My lawn looks amazing!!!. The crew came and they clarified what I was wanting to do. They left everything cleaned and raked and bagged. I will for sure use Roberto’s affordable landscaping again.

Beautifully. They were able to achieve out goals and the 3 men worked very hard. The new grass is coming in quickly.

They were great. They showed up the day after I called, cleaned up the yard, including pruning, mulching, and removing poison ivy. They added stone edging in the front and a small french drain in the back where we often get water coming into our basement. They were friendly and professional.

Awful no call no show likes bad employee doesn’t even have the nerve to respond to a text or return the call to say sorry or reschedule!! Then over the phone he wanted to just come and do the job before giving me a quote! Coupon on Angie’s list does not reflect what they actually tell you about the labor. They try to sneak in a few extra guys right under your nose! Terrible. I’ll be reporting to Angie’s lists customer services.

They did a very good job, were quick, everything done in 1 day when I figured it could take more time. Maintenance since the project day has been fine.

I bought a deal for 8 hours of landscaping services. Which ended up being 4 people for 2 hours, who scheduled right away and showed up two days later, on time. They did an amazing job - my yard has never been this clean. I will definitely hire them again.

Jos'e and his crew did an amazing job removing a very large tree from the side of my house . It was fascinating to watch the way they dismantled this enormous tree with precision and ease ..

Excellent job. They came through and were able to do my entire yard (1/4 acre) very quickly, and spread extra seed for me to ensure my lawn took (i did!) - was a tough job on a steep hill in a dusty, dog destroyed lawn.

They showed up early morning and with a hard working crew proceeded to completely strip the yard of old grass. That was followed by the laying of loam and an overseeding. The yard around the grass was cleaned and mulch was laid. All of this was done in a day. I was left with the instructions to keep it well watered until the grass came in and was established - which I had expected and which I did. I early on noticed there were large spots where no grass was sprouting. In the third or fourth week, I contacted them with that information. Someone came out and merely spread seed in the bare areas. Other than that, I never saw anyone again - no one came to check on the lawn's progress. For a brief period, I thought I had the lawn I had hoped for. But about two months in, brown spots began to appear. They have progressed and have been accompanied by quite a bit of crabgrass. I hired this group to replace my sick lawn with a new one. At this time the lawn has reverted to what it was when I enlisted their work. Whereas they seem quite able to do the heavy work of stripping the grass, laying loam, etc., I have no confidence that they know much about the science of landscaping. No soil testing was ever done. No fertilizing of new seed was done. No crabgrass preventative was done. No follow up was ever done. I paid a fair amount for this job and months later I'm back where I started with my "lawn."

Roberto's Affordable Landscape did not do the job I paid them for, at all. They could not find a day to come to my house when I would be available in order to show them the areas of my yard I wanted cleaned up. After several attempts at trying to schedule a date they stopped communicating with me. Seems to me they advertise these "DEALS" to get new customers and they couldn't care less if they complete the job or not. This is my communication with them: When are you going to contact me about a day that you can come? It has been a long time since I have heard from you. Do you just use Angie's List to offer deals you have no intention of completing. If I don't hear back from you I will have no choice and will give you a review of F and also request my money back. Roberto responded on the same day to my quote request. He visited my property within 24 hrs. His quote was most expensive of my three quotes but negotiable. His professionalism and availability were key ascepts of my decision. His team showed on time. They worked diligently without incident. Trash found in the lot was neatly set aside on my property to be collected. Overall great experience.

Made appointments to get a price for the work, never showed,never called until I called to say I no longer wanted his service

There were 5 people who worked for 1.5 hours. Got the work done. Very pleased.

Great. He even removed a tree at the request of my neighbor (on my neighbor's property).

Roberto had a large capable crew. The work was done quickly and well. The extensiveness of the weeding and mulching surpassed anything I had expected. The brick terrace and walkway were very weedy -- and power washing did not do the job adequately -- so a fellow on hands and knees scrapped around each brick! The brickwork now looks like new!

Roberto showed up on time and with an experienced and professional crew.

Awful, I need my reimbursement of 249.99 and he refused to pay me back. Work was never performed.

They did a wonderful job. The crew went above and beyond . The communication was great. will hire again!

Was quick....was really impressed they took the time to find the sprinkler heads before aerating and damaging the heads. Very pleased.
