PRIME GLASS & MIRROR

Prime Glass not familiar with the product. Product arrived from manufacturer with significant defects. Took much back and forth to have it removed and obtain a credit. The product looked nothing like the sample, though I was told that I had received what I had ordered; I had to remind that the sample had been provided. In the end the product was taken back and a credit provided as the work of the supplying factory was so awful; but, not without much time consumed in the process. Should have been told up front that the company has never used the product contemplated in the use intended.

Took broken window frame to the shop, was given estimate for the amount of time and cost of repair. Window was completed on schedule and for slightly less than the predicted cost.

They were really good. They did what they said they were going to do. The price was the same as the estimate they gave us. We had a medicine cabinet that was mirrored on the front, when they fixed it, it didn't close all of the way. I called them and they came right out and acknowledged and repaired the problem. The removed a framed shower door that we had and installed frame less shower door. They worked efficiently and I am incredibly happy with the work. I would recommend them!

The installation was great and the finished product is of high quality. However, the process for getting there was a little painful. They don't seem to keep good records about the scheduled job: we had to remind them 3-4 times of details like which shower door handle we'd chosen, and in the end they got it wrong. (However, they were responsive and fixed it.) The owner was also a bit high-maintenance. While doing some measurements in our house, I watched him accidentally hit our woodwork with a tool and make a small dent. When I pointed it out (immediately) he denied doing it, which was ridiculous because I was RIGHT THERE as it happened. No apology either.

I called about replacing my broken tabletop, which fits in a frame and has rounded corners. I was advised by the salesman to bring the pieces into the office on Saturday, when he would be able to use the pieces to make measurements and give me the estimate. So I shlepped the box of broken glass down to Watertown and Tom took measurements but said he actually couldn't make an estimate on the spot and that I should call back the next week. He offered to throw away the glass pieces for me.When I called back, Tom said he'd lost the estimate and measurements. This bit of incompetance left me in the lurch, since I no longer have the glass and don't know how to measure the frame for the rounded corners. When I asked if someone could come out and make a template from my (very heavy) table, he said it would be expensive and wasn't worth my while. When I asked, with some annoyance, how else I was going to get the top made since he'd lost the measurements, Tom said I was being antagonistic and he didn't want to do business with me. Looking Prime Glass up online, I saw that there were 3 Google reviews in a row, all since August, that had the very same sorts of complaints. Wish I'd seen those before I went there.

The guy who was sent out to do the measuring was better than most. He spotted the minor construction flaws and worked with us to design an enclosure that would minimize leakage. He very patiently answered the questions of a do-it-yourselfer. The work was fine, and the cost just a bit less than the others.

They thought it might take two days, but it took only one and it was done completely from outside the house. The problem in getting started was matching the edging of the old windows from 18 years ago. Larry was able to find a company that still made the edging, so the new windows match the ones we didn't replace. I was happy with the job. Three of the windows' edging was slightly crooked, but he said that was because of the frames settling. Otherwise all the other windows were perfect.

We called Prime Glass and made an appointment for replacement of two basement windows and repair of other windows where the seal had broken. After waiting an hour for the person to arrive, we called Prime Glass and they told us that they "forgot" about the appointment. We rescheduled for the same day, confirming time, address and phone number. No one ever showed up.

Company arrived promptly, removed mirror in pieces, and was very clean and safe with the removal. Mirror was quite large and potentially dangerous to remove; Prime Glass & Mirror clearly had the skills and experience for the job.

I would give them an A. They replaced the mirror for me and the quality of their work was excellent. They did everything I had asked them to do.

I called the company about putting mirrors on the inside of closet doors. Their quote was more reasonable than some other companies, they came over promptly to measure, took the doors away, and brought them back, with the mirrors perfectly applied, in record time. All the people involved were a pleasure to deal with. In every way, this is an outstanding company. Thank you Angie''s List for helping me find them!

This company is fantastic and I will use them again in the future. Firstly, they worked with me over the phone to come up with an estimate. After directing me to a webpage I was able to find exactly what I wanted which saved me both time and gas money. The installer came and measured the same day. The job was just completed today and the quality, service and level of professionalism has exceeded my expectations across the board. They were also extremely neat which was also really great.

The men came one day and measured. A quote was given later by phone and I arranged to have the work done another day. They came and did a very nice job.

They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.

After calling them on the phone, I went in to see some samples and placed an order. Tom was friendly and answered all of my questions knowledgeably. He even suggested that I could take the glass home in my car, to save me the delivery charge, which nobody else had done. With this savings, Prime Glass ended up being very price competitive. When I went to pick up the pieces, Tom provided some additional advice, plastic dots to go between the glass and table, and helped me load the glass into my car, including finding something to provide padding around a part of my trunk which concerned him. The only nit was a small miscommunication: I thought they would call when the glass was ready, but they did not expect to have to call me. When I did call them a day or two after I expected it to be ready, it was ready at that time. The final product looks great!

The had to come back four times and make new glass every time, but in the end they got in spot on perfect. Unfortunately they definitely lost money on the job, but Tom didn't even break a sweat and just got it done.

They were pleasant and responsive. They looked over the window frame, checked to see if they had the glass in stock and told us to call them on Wednesday to see if the job was done. We called and were able to pick it up that day. It was a small job but the window has a curved shape at the top and bottom. We were pleased with the results.

Very well. They told me how the job would be done, what it would look like on the back and how long it would take. I arrived the day they said it would be ready and it was ready. It seems like it may be a family business and I felt my small job was given good care with a fair price.

The order was taken without delay, the pricing (which we got over the phone) was confirmed, and the glass was ready to get well before the estimated time. The glass seemed to come from some other company though, so it seems like Prime is just a reseller?

They said they were too busy to get to my job at this time. I could not use them.

I was very impressed by this company, they were very professional the initial call. I would hire them again.
