Description of Work: Olympia Moving & Storage assisted my family in my mother's move from Massachusetts to Florida. They couldn't have been more helpful, caring about the items being packed, marked every box accordingly, and were friendly and respectful throughout the entire time in our home. All of our communication was through Ryan Hegarty, the General Manager. He was our first contact in the move, answered every question, answered every call and if not, responded immediately. He oversaw the entire move and made sure it went perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone over and over again. Ask for Ryan Hegarty when you contact them! He will always do his best to accommodate your needs.

Description of Work: We moved a large home from Boston to Providence. The movers were excellent and professional. Extremely polite and very caring with our furniture. I highly recommend Olympia for your next move. The cost was on target. From start to finish everything went smoothly. Our moving coordinator stayed in touch and always answered any questions and concerns that I had. The 3 men on the moving team were very respectful.

Description of Work: Olympia Moving has done 4 moving jobs for me including artwork out-of-state, furniture with use of crane and miscellaneous other problem situations. All jobs were done on time, without any problems, crating with perfection and all reasonably priced. The crane job required the partial closing of a major Boston street with a police detail all arranged without hassle by Olympia! I would use them again for any type of moving job within or out of state with out hesitation!!

 + -1 moreWE OPTED TO MOVE OURSELVES TO SAVE MONEY RATHER THAN HIRE PROFESSIONAL MOVERS, BUT I FELT THAT THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS IN COMING TO OUR HOUSE TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. THEY HAD THE BEST PRICES FROM THE THREE COMPANIES WE GOT ESTIMATES FROM AND WERE RECOMMENDED TO US BY TWO FRIENDS.  + -1 moreI ALSO SHOULD MENTION THAT THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION WITH THE ESTIMATED TIME FOR MOVE. APPARENTLY, I HADN''T MADE IT CLEAR TO OLYMPIC THAT MY NEW CONDO WAS ABOVE STREET LEVEL. THIS CAUSED MORE DELAYS WHILE UNLOADING. I PAID FOR IT AT THE HOURLY MOVING RATE ($120/HOUR).
Description of Work: MOVED MY BELONGINGS FROM AN APARTMENT IN NEWTON, MA TO A CONDO IN BROOKLINE, MA. THE CONTACT I HAD AT THE COMPANY AND TWO EMPLOYEES WHO CAME FOR THE ACTUAL MOVE WERE FRIENDLY AND CHEERFUL. BUT, I FOUND THE MOVER WORK UNSATISFACTORY. COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS COMPANY I USED (GENTLE GIANT), OLYMPIC''S WORK WAS VERY POOR. PROBLEMS I NOTICED:- 1.THE MOVERS FOUND SOME OF THE LARGER ITEMS (LIKE SOFA, DESKS ETC) TO BE REALLY HARD TO DEAL WITH.(FOR THE MOVERS FROM GG, THESE WERE NOT AN ISSUE BOTH TIMES WHEN I USED THEM). 2. ONE OF THE MOVERS MANAGED TO SCRATCH MY NEWLY POLISHED HARDWOOD FLOOR BY PUSHING A BOX ACROSS THE FLOOR. I DIDN''T EXPECT THIS FROM A PROFESSIONAL MOVER. 3. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT MOST ANNOYED ME WAS THIS: THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE ASSEMBLED THE HEADBOARD ON MY BED. BUT, ALL THEY HAD DONE WAS TO USE A BROKEN BOLT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY HAD DONE THE JOB. THEY MANAGED TO MAKE IT LOOK OK BY LEANING IT AGAINST THE WALL, WHICH I DIDN''T REALIZE UNTIL BED TIME.
