Work wise they're doing well but timewise they're not doing well. They are very busy but good electricians. No problems with the quality of the work. Sometimes they have two workers here for a few hours. The company has a lot of projects going at the same time and not enough help.

The experience, from the first call to the office, until the work was finished, was top-notch. Friendly, reliable, punctual--and the work was quite good.

Markarian Electric gave me an extremely high estimate, so I found someone else to do the job for less than half.

The electrician sent was most likely just starting out and this was an opportunity to get him some experience. He did a good job resetting our fuses. When I called to arrange the service I indicated that I was interested in installing an outdoor outlet. The service tech had to call in to I can only assume his manager, I learned that that would be an additional $250. When I said I wasn't interested the price magically went down $50 - $75 (I've forgotten, it was last year). The reality is, I'm sure this is a good company, I just wasn't as impressed as I would have liked to have been. I wouldn't call them again.

We recently bought our first house and found a few switch boxes that seemed to go to nowhere. We also needed our doorbell fixed. I called Markarian and made an appointment. Due to weather the technician couldn't come out to the house but Markarian was very apologetic and quickly set a new appointment date that worked with my schedule. Sean, the technician, was on time and extremely informative. It turned out that there was some questionable wiring in the house that needed more attention. Markarian made a follow up appointment for me the next morning to make sure the work so done as soon as possible (I'm 9 months pregnant so time was of the essence.) Sean came the next morning, completed the work and set my mind at ease about the house.

He called before he came and told me he was on his way. He showed up on time. His name was John. He was very courteous and nice. I would definitely use them again. I thought the price was reasonable.

Electrician came on time, was courteous & pleasant. Worked all day without a break as the job was more complicated than originally thought. He did a fantastic job. My expectations were exceeded. Worth every penny spent, highly recommended.

It took all day for the electrician to complete the installation but we hardly knew he was there. My only complaint was that it cost as much for the installation as for the generator, and they wanted a similar amount to repair an outlet immediately adjacent to the wall on which he was working. We subsequently had another electrician make that repair for $150.

They're very prompt and punctual. Very professional and courteous and he will any answer any question you may have. They will customize the security system to be as simple as you want or detailed as you want. I highly recommend. They're very easy to work with.

.Eric came as promised and reviewed each project and my needs, gave me good options and got back to me in a day with written material and estimates for several options we talked about. He knew what ways to go on the security system project, and spelled out a tiered level of services from basic to advanced. He knew exactly how each project could be done. Estimate was reasonable and we are working out a start date for project. and will report on after completion

We brought in Markarian from an Angie's List Big Deal. The technician arrived punctually and was very professional. He worked efficiently and left everything clean at the end. We would definitely use them again.

Shaun arrived promptly at my front door. He was perfect in every way. Not only did he execute on every task I could come up with, he was extremely proficient in doing so. As a bonus, he saved me a ton of money and frustration by sharing some of his general know-how and knowledge of vendors. Amazingly, I ran into Shaun later in that same day while taking some of his advice. Without asking, he did me the huge favor of having my purchase put on his company's account (which netted me a discount). Bottom line, great electrician, great guy.

We were very happy with the quality of work. The technician was efficient and had good suggestions about the placement of the fixture. He was very neat and cleaned the area after he finished the work.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for this project but it was not a success because they did not do much. We had a list of quite a few, not-too-complicated electrical things and it took him forever to do the first thing. He only did one thing for the time we had him booked for through Angie's List so it was not a big success. They were a disappointment.

Markarian installed a whole-house surge protector. They were on-time, and the job was done quickly. They called in advance to confirm what electrical I had, so they would be sure to have the right parts - very professional.

Great. They came on time. Did the work and cleaned up. The technician was very professional. The fixture was a sconce, which could face up or down. He asked which way we wanted it, and of course we changed our minds after he installed them. He didn't blink--said no problem and switched them both around.

Went fine..Came for an initial estimate and then came back and did the work as needed. I added a few things while he was here.

The electrician seemed to do a great job at first. The process went very smoothly and he was done in under 2 hours. The fan worked great and the ceiling repair of the plaster looked good. Later, as I was trying to sand and paint the new plaster repair I noticed that the spackle was crudely applied and I had to spend a lot of time redoing the repair so that the ceiling was smooth and looked flush after painting. I'm not sure what the obligation of the electrician was for making the ceiling look nice after his work. He did have to remove a ceiling junction box with an overhead light to put the new fan/light in which left a section that needed plater patching. I just know I would never have left it that way doing it myself.

They showed up on time and did the job quickly and efficiently.

It was long ago it seems. Alli can say it went well; and we would hire the co. again.

Went well. The last item was a problem - a small chandelier - kept shorting - took extra time (over an hour) to deal with; ends up needing to be rewired or replaced.

Company was attentive and very accommodating with scheduling. The first time Joe showed up to do the work, he realized he needed a bigger ladder. No problem, rescheduled and he came back with a BIG ladder. Electric was already available, just needed to assemble fan and install. Joe was careful with the ladder and was very professional. He did a great job and would use Markarian again.

Went very well, He had the wrong address and was 45 minutes late but that was an innocent mistake. The installations were done in a timely fashion and to my full satisfaction.

Again electrician cut whole installed fan but had to go. It took a long time for him and I felt bad. He cleaned up after himself and was respectful.

This was the first time I responded to one of Angie's List "offers," and I'm not sure I will do it again. While the electrical service was fine when I finally got it, I was pretty unhappy by how the whole deal transpired. When I responded to an offer for 2 hours of electrical service in May, I signed up and paid in advance. I received a confirmation email giving me contact information for the contractor. I immediately left Markarian a voicemail asking to set up an appointment. I *never* heard back from them. At first I assumed they had had a lot of response, and they would get back to me in due course, but as time went on, I began to think maybe I had been suckered into a bad internet "deal." A few months later I called Markarian again to request my PAID-FOR service. The young woman who answered the phone was polite but admitted that she had been overwhelmed by responses to the Angie's List deal and had dropped the ball. At my request, she scheduled an electrician to come by, and he did show up at the appointed time. The good news was that he was professional, courteous, and efficient, and the work seems fine. Customer service really matters, though; the quality of work of this contractor is certainly adequate, but there are lots of others in the area who probably have better customer service -- and whom I would therefore prefer to work with. While I recognize that Angie's List cannot control how a company will respond on its end to a "deal" you have advertised, I would strongly advise that you ensure every company you work with is fully prepared to be responsive and accommodating to new customers who come in through these deals, especially if they have paid upfront! Otherwise, this system backfires ... and makes for unhappy customers who wish they hadn't bothered.
