Lars was great. He responded promptly, was clear and informative in his estimated, arrived on the dot, and was efficient in his work.

Lars was one of the first electricians to answer my original inquiry. He told me he would need to investigate what was needed as the laws were changing. Then I didn't hear anything from him for well over a month. By the time he came by to look at the job, I had already contracted someone to do the work. Lars seems to be a very sincere person and I would expect his work to be excellent, but the time lag between contact and giving us an estimate was much too long. I think he would be ideal for someone who needs intense hand holding, which I do not! His price was comparable to the price we eventually paid. I would consider him in the future, but would tell him up front to speed up his estimate!

He came, quickly ruled out the straightforward and then troubleshot the problem. He discovered a mistake that prior electrician had made that was relatively simple to fix but very difficult to find.

Overall a good experience from the first telephone call to completing the work.

We contacted Lars to schedule an appointment to estimate some electrical work we needed done at our condo in Somerville. He arrived on time to estimate the job. He spent about 30 minutes checking things out. We had a punch list of items that needed to be addressed after they were identified during a recent home inspection. This included replacing a hard wired smoke detector with a new smoke/carbon monoxide detector; replacing multiple faulty gfci outlets in the kitchen; and moving an outlet away for an electric baseboard heater. Also, we wanted him to inspect an outlet in another condo unit that we suspected was running from our power. He spent about 15 minutes during this site visit research this issue and found there wasn't a problem. He didn't even charge us for the time he spent researching it. He estimated that the items on our punch list would take about 2 hours to complete. The great thing about working with Lars is that he provided an estimated by the number of hours the job would take. Unlike most companies, he didn?t give us some inflated estimated price and still charge us that estimated price even if the job only took them 20 minute to complete. Lars schedule was pretty booked so we scheduled the work to be done 4 weeks after his initial visit. He did mention that he would contact us if he had a cancellation. I?ve heard this line before and was very skeptical that he would actually call us if a cancellation did occur. He proved me wrong. He called me a couple of days later letting me know that he had a cancellation and had a open slot the next day. The next day came and he was on time and got right to work. He explained everything he was doing and discussed some different options for completing a couple of the tasks. He performed all the tasks on the punch list and was done in two hours (matched his estimate). He charged us by the hour and a small amount for materials. Prior to hiring Lars I had contacted another electrician that had an A rating on Angies List. They were painful to deal with. They missed a couple of appointments, didn't call back for days/weeks, and there preferred method of communication was text messages which made it very difficult to setup appointments. I am posting a review on them as soon as I complete this review. Don?t waste your time and money with anyone else and call Lars. His quality of work, professionalism, punctuality, and price was outstanding. I won't deal with any other electrician for future work. He is the best.

Lars performed an enormous amount of intricate electrical work in record time, and helped us turn our tragedy into a bright new chapter in our lives. He explains details, asks questions when necessary, and makes recommendations for the best solution. We trust his expertise and professionalism, and would use him again for any future electrical work we need done. We highly recommend him.

Overall, Lars was great. Very nice on the phone, and came out quickly to give an estimate. He's a really nice and professional person. He even squeezed us in a bit earlier than his schedule would have allowed by working later than normal one day. He did a great job and made minimal holes in the wall to run the wire. The only reason we are giving him a "B" for quality is that he cut too big a hole for the outlet, so there was a gap on the side of switchplate. We were a bit disappointed with this, but never got to ask him about it because we didn't see the final product until after he left (we were having a lot of work being done at the house and things were a bit hectic). We did have painters in the house simultaneously, so perhaps Lars thought it was ok to cut it a bit too big since the painters could patch it up (which they did). But, since this is his specialty, we think he should have been able to cut the opening to the right size, instead of too big. Other than this, the work was excellent and he is great to work with. We will have him out to do more work in the future.

I had been having problems with one particular circuit shutting off, thus shutting off many lights, etc. I noticed Lars' positive reports and called, leaving him a message. Pretty much right away I got a call back and set up an appointment. I was not disappointed. Lars was punctual, got right to work after my describing the problem, and along with some trouble shooting determined what he thought might be the problem (I had agreed with Lars to try one thing at a time to narrow the problem down, so I knew ahead of time that it may not be be). As it turned out, what Lars thought was the problem wasn't and with more timely communication with me as to when the lights, etc. were going off and what was on when they were going off Lars figured out what the problem was and fixed it. I have not had a problem since. While Lars was coming here for the circuit breaker tripping problem, I decided to have him change some outlets also. I would most definately hire Lars again. I found Lars to be very professional, personable, and easy to communicate with. What I also liked was that he took responsibility for his work and decisions. Lars offered to pay for the new outside light which turned out not to be the problem. Since I was happy with the light and had wanted to get a similar one anyway, I did not take him up on it, but was pleased that he made the offer.

He was awesome! Fixed a neighbor problem on short notice. I wont use anyone else.

We called Lars to replace two ceiling fans, as well as three additional light fixtures, and were very impressed with his integrity and the quality of his work. Unfortunately he was not able to replace the light fixtures, because the previous cut-out for the electrical boxes was far larger than the base of the new fixtures. He was very gracious about putting back our existing light fixtures until we can get a contractor to patch the ceiling/walls. Additionally, when one of the fans became dislodged from the ceiling and was dented, he traveled to Lowes to replace the fan at no cost to us. Lars arrived on time and correctly estimated the amount of time it would take him to complete the work. He cleaned up after himself and freely offered additional information and expertise. We will certainly use him again should the need arise.

Lars was terrific. It was Sunday AND Easter. We called and he answered right away (we didn't even have to leave a message) and he said he'd be right over. He was here in under an hour, was very nice, very efficient, and fixed the whole problem. Not only that, but he also checked our water heater and heating system because we said we were concerned we might have disrupted those units when we turned off the breaker box earlier in the day when we were trying to figure out what the problem was . And then on top of that, he fixed a light socket over our sink that had been out for six months that we had been meaning to fix, and he did it for no extra charge. And all of this for the incredibly reasonable price of $75. He didn't even charge us extra because it was a Sunday or because it was Easter. It was really a great experience having him come over and do the work, we very much appreciated it.

I have had a fantastic experience working with Lars. He is exceptionally prompt (always about 5 minutes early). Always answers his phone. Worked during the evening to squeeze in all my last minute changes before the inspection. He does a very quality job, does not try to sell any extras, and works very fast. He submits bills on time and always follows up. His rates are by the hour and are much less than the other estimates I got. I would definitely recommend him.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. Lars showed up on time the first evening to inspect a remnant knob and tube wire in my attic so that I could get a sign off for insulation from the MassSave Energy Audit program. Upon inspection, it turned out the wire was live, so Lars gave me an estimate for what it would take to remove it, as well as an estimate for a small project in my basement -- installing a light switch -- and then we scheduled a time for a return visit. Lars again showed up on time, and completed both projects in less time than he originally anticipated. Lars is a nice, professional electrician who explains the project articulately and looked for ways to solve my issue at the lowest cost. He even knocked off from the price the time it took him to go to the store to pick up an item he needed to finish the job. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use his services again.

Lars was great - a super nice guy who did his job professionally and courteously. He agreed to work at our house over the course of several nights which worked for our schedule and his. Our work was pretty easy but he always did exactly what he said he was going to do and made sure that we understood the different options especially for moving the internet connection. I recommend Lars very strongly - finding Lars is exactly why you use Angie's List

If we could give Lars an A+ we would. He's very professional and prompt and didn't balk at performing our low-end type of repairs. He's also very neat and cleaned up thoroughly after completing his work. He also spec'd out replacing two exterior motion sensing lights as well as running new cable on two floors . We're definitely going to hire him again for a number of our electrical projects.

Working with Lars was very easy! He was flexible with his scheduling, his price was right, and he installed two lights/1 dimmer in just over an hour (does not charge for local travel time). I will definitely hire Lars again for other projects.

We only had him do the inside work only because our condomate decided not to do the outside work. He came in UNDER budget and was super nice, prompt, friendly, and explained everything. Even gave options on how to approach things for more/less money to achieve different results. He's the IDEAL electrician - he's who you want in your house. Two big thumbs up.

Lars' work was excellent and I will definitely use him for any future electrical work. He responded to my original call quickly, explained clearly what was required and descirbed the various options,showed up when he said he would, communicated clearly about the time and materials costs (including when I kept finding additional things I wanted him to do), and was friendly, professional and efficient. He let me know every day where he would be working and left each room clean when he was done, so the work was not disruptive at all (which was helpful because I work from home.) The overall cost was very reasonable.

We got quite a few estimates that were ridicously high for the scope of work. Lars was not only the most reasonable, but the nicest person to deal with and very professional. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.

Excellent response. Next day service. Polite, very tidy. Cleaned up as he went along. All in all a great experience.
