We tried 3 contractors before finding Lampasona. They all flaked out. Either they didn’t want the job or were too busy. I’m guessing they didn’t want the job. When we bought our house we knew most of the electrical had been updated but not all. We quickly found out why not all had been updated. What was left was hard to get to and time consuming (aka expensive) to fix. But Lampasona came out and gave a detailed quote and time frame. They were on time, on cost, and professional through the entire process. They even patched holes and cleaned up after themselves. They laid down plastic as they worked and at the end of the day, you hardly knew they had been in the house. We even asked them to do a few add ones while they were here by moving our bathroom light switch in the bathroom and adding an extra outlet in our master bedroom. Would highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again if needed.

They were all really nice. One thing, they did a full knob and tube inspection for us and it took a lot of hours and I thought it was really reasonably priced. We have a general contract with them so we use them for everything. They did their job and it was good.

The story begins with my call to Tony Lampasona to ask for an estimate and proposal for the installation of a permanent generator. We made an appointment and Tony arrived on time, as scheduled, as he always does! He recommended a Kohler generator, an excellent product, and recommended the size I would need to support the appliances necessary to run in the event of a power outage. We walked through the house and reviewed all the items and locations where I would need power -- sump pumps, boiler for heat and hot water, refridgerators, cable modem, lights in various locations, etc. I was, at the same time, doing a conversion from oil to gas, and I arranged for the plumber to install additional gas piping to the location of the generator. Tony sent me his proposal, which I found to be very reasonably priced, we contracted for the work to be done, and again, he arrived as scheduled to begin the work. Tony's crew is impeccably clean and neat, polite and respectful, a pleasure to have in my home. We did experience one problem when the gas inspector found that the generator was located too close to my garage wall, something Tony didn't expect. Tony spoke directly with the inspector and determined where the generator needed to be moved to be in compliance with code. He made the adjustment, and because it required additional work by the plumber and another inspection, he asked me to deduct this additional cost from his original proposal. This work was completed in a timely fashion, inspections were done, and the generator fired up. A couple of tweaks and we were done. I honestly can't recommend Tony highly enough!!! He is always immediately available to me, either by phone or email. I trust his advice, he is honest, his prices are reasonable and fair, his work is of the highest quality, he and his crew show up when promised and clean up after themselves so you would never know they were even present. It is such a pleasure, as a home owner, to know I have an electrician I know I can always call.

Just as expected

L & B had to run new conduit for three new plug outlets or connections; in our 1925 house that meant bringing conduit up from the panel board in the basement through the old structure, and in some places knocking out the brick fire-stopping. This is messy, but Mark, the head electrician, and his helper cleaned up everything beautifully; their respect for our home was evident. Since we did not open up the walls, conduit had to be fished up behind existing walls and cabinets, but Mark and his team tackled it with success. He was also able to re-align existing outlets and switches, originally all at different heights, on our ?wet wall? to a consistent height, a big improvement in the visual appeal of the kitchen when that wall was tiled. Mark made sure to ask questions concerning items like the final location of outlets, answered all our questions with good grace and humor, and is experienced and knowledgeable. When the tile person carelessly tiled over half of a duplex outlet, Mark was able to cut the tile and saved the day. Moreover, when it became clear our GC had neglected to provide any ductwork connecting the new range hood to the existing exterior vent, Mark and Tony again rescued the day by obtaining and installing the necessary ductwork. The scope of work also included wiring the dishwasher, disposal, hood vent and gas range. In an attack of the ?might as well?s? we added a plug outlet, moved the hard-wired phone jack, added an exterior light over a new basement door, and upgraded some outlets in the basement. L & B charged us a very reasonable rate for these extras. We cannot recommend Lampasona and Bloomer too highly.
