Description of Work: chose this business thru positive feed back on Angie's List. My old milk can lamp was working, but the harp was not stable. The man who looked at the lamp understood the problem. One way required enlarging the hole on the bottom, which he could do. However, he sent me to someone else to confirm or suggest more options. I was not charged for this visit. |Also, they have a nice selection and sizes of white/cream lamp shades

Description of Work: Do not recall price. Very friendly and accommodating. Able to fix one lamp but said nothing wrong with the second one I brought in, except the 3-way switch did not work when I brought it in and did not work after I took it home.

Description of Work: I needed repair on several lamps and also I needd new lampshades - they have a pretty good selection of the latter (and they also sell lamps) but good lord lampshades are expensive (go to Home goods first but these are top of the line silk) They were able to repair harps and cords problems but couldn't deal with a problem floor switch but sent me to a hardware store that could -Winters in Belmont - which also offers a variety of other services) The lampshade gallery is run by a couple of septo or octogenarians - very nice but be prepared to be amused because they bicker over almost everything.

Excellent.
Description of Work: This is a husband and wife business of lamp repair and lamp shades.One of our lamps needed a new socket. That was repaired quickly and efficiently.We then bought a new lamp shade for the lamp.We also had a lamp remade - excellent job from top to bottom (socket, wiring, etc.)I would highly recommend them to anyone. We will definitely use them againeither for lamp repair or for new lamp shades. They have a lot of selection of lamp shadesand they perform lamp repair work quickly.

THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT SELECTION OF LAMP SHADES, IN VARIOUS PRICE RANGES. ALSO HAVE GOOD SELECTION OF TRADITIONAL LAMPS. I THINK THIS PLACE IS VERY UNUSUAL--IN THE WESTERN SUBURBS, I DON'T KNOW OF ANOTHER PLACE WITH LAMP REPAIR AND A GOOD SELECTION OF REASONABLY PRICED SHADES UNDER ONE ROOF. HARRY AND CHARLOTTE ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE AND ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. SOMETIMES THERE IS A SHORT WAIT TO TO BE HELPED, IF ONLY ONE OF THEM IS IN THE STORE. I'VE NEVER HAD TO WAIT MORE THAN 15 MINUTES, AND THE EXTRA ATTENTION YOU GETS MAKES THE WAIT WELL WORTHWHILE. ALWAYS BRING YOUR LAMP WITH YOU--MAKES IT MUCH EASIER TO SELECT THE RIGHT SHADE.
