These people are rude, unwilling to work and their prices are simply outrageous $90 to rewire a lamp. Hostile, unfriend;y You'd think I was doing them a favor DO NOT USE THIS STORE

Several days after I dropped off the lamp, I was notified that it was fixed. The new switch is very sturdy and works great!

We came in with a lamp that needed a new shade and one that would no longer support a three-way bulb. The friendly owner advised that the shape of shade we wanted would be almost impossible to find (as I had discovered) and that he could have it made--although it would be expensive--if I really wanted to. I didn't. He said he could fix the other lamp by the next day, and he did.

The experience with Lamp and Shade Gallery Inc was excellent. They spent about an hour with me to find four Lamp shades, I took the lampshades and tried different ones and they made adjustments and they replaced the plugs on a very old cord. It was a very good experience. They have an excellent selection. I called them and when I got there, they were there to see me. I have recommended to other people and I would use them again if I needed to.

They did do the upgrade with no mention of their brief 5-day return policy, which I was way beyond and thought was excessively short. I would definitely recommend them. It's just a little mom and pop shop that should be supported so they don't go out of business. They did seem to have a steady stream of customers on both my visits.

Very positive experience. Ther had a plug on hand and it took only a few minutes to fit the wires of the lamp cord into the plug.

I spent $700 on that work. My interaction with them was quite good. They did the job they promised. Their prices are fair.

It was a very straight forward repair. Brought the lamp in for service. They quickly diagnoses the problem as a faulty switch and I picked up the lamp the next day, working good as new. We'll definitely use them again.

I took an old light fixture to this shop for rewiring. The owner told me that he preferred not to do the job and he recommended that I take the fixture to Winters Hardware up the street. So I did. There, Wanda rewired the fixture for $40, which may have been a little more than necessary but it was way less than buying a new fixture. And I also was happy to have the original 1926 fixture to rehang in my home. I polished it up and it looks great. I felt happy that the owner of this shop made a good recommendation of somewhere else to go for a simple repair.

After hunting around at a few chain stores for a lampshade, I was directed to the Lamp and Shade Gallery. How I wish I'd started there! I would have saved countless hours and gallons of gas. All I wanted was a boring white lamp shade, and not to pay hundreds of dollars for it. Their selection was perfect! Charlotte was extremely nice and just firm enough about what to select ("This one isn't quite big enough - you want this one"). She was absolutely right. It was also a pleasure to talk with her about their business, her family, bakeries, restaurants, as well as various services and products she and her husband offer. There is absolutely no question whether we'd go back, let alone recommend it to friends!

I went there to have a halogen chandelier altered and to order some replacement parts. They were nice about it but said that they really specialize in traditional lights and don't alter halogen lamps and don't have the ability to order parts for my lamp since they don't work with that vendor.

This older couple has been in business for a long time. They've been in the business of being married for a long time, too and the customer is treated to the back and forth between them. It is fun to be there and just watch how they work together. Relationships aside, they know just what to do for your bedraggled lamp. The Mrs. knows her stock and can readily make suggestions, but is not overbearing if you don't like what she shows you. I was very happy she had what I wanted right there. Her husband does the rewiring and if you didn't know there is more than one color cord out there, you will when you've finished. I'd had the same lamps worked on more than 15 years ago, so I wasn't surprised at the cost. Silk shades are expensive. But the electrical work was reasonable, and overall the price was very fair. When I checked that the price was "good" I meant it was not a bargain. But it was very fair value. I don't think you could find a place that was run as well and as knowledgeably as Bemont Lamp and Shade.

Both Charlotte and Harry Eordekian went out of their way to be helpful. Harry rewired the lamps and helped me carry the large lamps to my car. Charlotte helped me in making choices about which lamp shades to buy and what type of rewiring to do. They are a delight to work with. As far as whether the prices were fair I don't know. I haven't bought new shades or repaired any lamps in many many years. The shades cost $79.99. a piece (white silk). The rewiring was $50 for each lamp.

What a terrific lamp store with a great variety of shades. Mr. Eordekian repaired an antique lamp the same day and Mrs. Eordekian suggested I look at a different lampshade for my lamp. Her suggestion was "right on", the lamp looks much better. There was no pressure to buy and the service was terrific, I will return! J. D. Arlington, Ma.

They did a nice job. They even gave me advice on how to prevent this matter from occurring again in the future. I also wanted to upgrade the lamp with a shade, so she sold me a shade for the lamp which made it look very sheik. I would use them again.

We had 3 lamps, but he said he wasn't go to charge for the 3rd, because we could fix it ourselves.

They were prompt, and the price was what they said it would be. The lamps are working. They are nice to do business with. They gave me a little break on the price. I would take my lamps there again and I would recommend them.

I drove over 30 miles to go to this shop in hopes of finding good quality shades and help to fit them to my lamp. I was thrilled with both the quality, the selection, and the lovely helpful owners. I not only found the two shades I needed, but while we were fitting shades Harry did a small repair on one of my lamps for free. They gave me directions to a hardware store which had the special bulbs I needed and called to verify the bulbs were in stock. This place is a treasure!

We went to shop for lamp shades and Mr. Eordekian said that they also do lamp repairs. He offered to do repairs within about an hour if we called ahead; that way we could run a few errands and the lamps would be finished. The following week, we let him know that we would be brining the lamps in. Just as he said, they were ready in about an hour. Price was very fair. Mr. and Mrs. Eordekian are very sweet and know their business. If you go there shopping for lampshades, know that they have a good selection, but their stock is generally on the high end. A for repair pricing, but B/C for lampshade pricing.

Mr. and Mrs. Eordekian were extremely professional, courteous, and skilled. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a lamp repaired. By the way, they had lovely lamps in their shop as well. They were reasonable priced and completed the work on time.

THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND ON TIME. IT IS NICE TO HAVE LIGHT IN THE HOUSE AGAIN. THEY ENJOY OLD LAMPS AT LAMP AND SHADE GALLERY!
