Description of Work: I go to Kennedy Brothers in Watertown for physical therapy.

Description of Work: I live in a building in the South End, which is connected to a building Kennedy Bros (KB) bought, gutted and renovated for sale of two very hi end units. They caused a large leak in my unit, they dismantled portions of the gutters and downspout of MY building and left them on the MY fire escape. I have 100% certain proof, including my home owners insurance company (Liberty) letter rejecting my claim for repairs "because the cause of the damages is from the construction on the building connected to the East/Southeast at 225 W Canton Street. It was obvious to any ordinary observer, plus my own contractor, roofer, and insurance company they all inspected everything and came up with the same conclusion. NEVERTHELESS Sean Kennedy, one other owners, claimed that none of the damages were his responsibility. He could have sent a couple of his workers over to do the repairs at a very low cost to him but he chose to lie (or he believed what he was saying how I can't begin to fathom) and refuse responsibility. I can only imagine that he deals with his clients in a similar manner so BUYER BEWARE. BTW - he sold the two units for a total of approx $4.6 million! He paid roughly $1.8M for the building and at the most spent $1M for all the renovations. $4.6M - $2.8M = $1,800,000. Adding in finance costs and misc costs, I guarantee Kennedy Bros made a profit of at least $1,500,000.00 on the project. And he cost me $3,000 out of my pocket, just because he wouldn't accept responsibility for what his company did to me. Again I say beware of hiring a company run by a person who behaves in a way that he abdicates responsibility or refuses to see the common sense, most obvious things because of pure self-interest and profit motive. Sean Kennedy relied on the word of his workers or sub-contractors who actually caused and were hiding from some of the problems. Sean Kennedy refused to spend even a few minutes to investigate some of the obvious cusses. E.G. - one day I discovered a very long (14') section of my gutter was laying on my fire escape. Sean claimed that the piece was sitting on the roof of the building he was renovating and had been there since the work began 9 months before. LUDICROUS! If only he would have taken a look with his own eyes to see exactly what happened...what was so obvious just by looking at the fasteners that his guys ripped off, and how obvious it was that it was just done; or even thought about how impossible it would be for a piece of gutter to remain on my neighbor's roof through storms and windy conditions; or bothered to ask my Management Company, that knows every condition of my building intimately. But he would not. Unfortunately I was the victim, even tho' Kennedy Bros wasn't even working on my property. I always thought that Kennedy Bros was a reputable contractor. I'm sure they have many satisfied customers. But when push comes to shove...if history and experience will teach us anything...Kennedy Bros' part-owner Sean Kennedy will look you in the eyes and claim absurdities when his profit is at stake. Even a couple/few thousand dollars in a project he profited $1.5M (minimum) set him off to dig in his heels to deny responsibility in the face of irrefutable evidence and proof. How would that kind of behavior affect your renovation project? That's the question I suggest you consider when evaluating Kennedy Bros for hire.
