Hratch was friendly, professional and responsive. It took over a month to get on his calendar, but it was worth the wait! The orange paint required 6 six coats! Yet, Hratch and his crew remained patient, took the necessary time to do the job correctly, and still managed to finish in one day. We are happy with the results and will use IMG for future paint jobs.

Hratch?s crew did a great job with the exterior paint job of my house. A good paint job is all about the details: scraping, prep, covering things so they don?t get spattered, edges, corners, not trampling the bushes, getting the job done quickly, cleanup afterward, etc., and they handled all the details very well. The price matched the estimate, and Hratch recommended a solution to a porch ceiling that involved some carpentry, and it turned out beautifully. Only negative is that it was hard to get on their calendar ? I had hoped to have the house painted last year, but they couldn?t get to it until this spring.

Hratch and his crew did an excellent job on our house, which is over 100 years old. We were out of town while the work was done and he kept us updated with pictures and emails. We had quite a bit of wood that needed to be replaced and he arranged for the repairs. The work was started and finished on time. I would certainly hire him again.

Hratch and his crew at IMG Painting were simply incredible. I'm in the process of selling my house, and of course the upstairs neighbor's dishwasher started leaking onto our ceiling. I was really in a bind and needed the ceiling to be fixed ASAP. I contacted Hratch the next day, explained my situation, and he was able to fit me into their very busy schedule within 2 days. Hratch and his two-man crew came over and finished the repair job in a single day! They were highly professional, very respectful of our personal belongings, friendly, and generally just a great pleasure to do business with. These guys were hands down the best home improvement contractors I've ever hired. I will definitely be using them again to paint my new house!

IMG Painting is a very busy company, so it took a fair amount of time for me to get the work scheduled. But I decided to be extremely patient because they were referred by Markarian Electric and I'd had a good experience with them. I'm thrilled with the results. IMG arrived at the appointed time, took great care to cover my furniture and carefully move it to access the areas in need of work. They were polite, extremely professional and let me know everything they were doing. They went the extra mile to repaint entire walls so that the blending was impeccable. I'm convinced that no one could come into my home and locate where these repairs were done, not even on the textured ceilings. They're not just painters--they're artists. I'd recommend them highly.

Proprietor Hratch came to our newly purchased home and soon emailed a detailed estimate including 3 phases priced individually and as one job with volume discount. AL discount too. I'm no expert but we had a similar job done 6 months ago way out in the burbs for slightly more money. Current job required 6 days with 2 painters to complete. The crew kept the work site clean and accommodated our request to open some windows upon leaving for the day. Also Hatch helped us make color and finish choices. We're very happy with the results. Very sharp lines including crown moldings...looks gorgeous.

This company gets an A+ from us. We have over 30 families in this association and the painters worked around all the comings and goings with tremendous courtesy at all times. The painters were flexible and helped when we would suddenly change our minds about colors and scope of work! The owner was involved at all times with oversight--and always available and reachable. Some high end equipment to help with compound dust was used. IMG was very knowledgeable about what type of paints (and color matching) had been used and what we could do moving forward to remove oil-based VOC paints, keep colors we loved, as well as how to repair any walls and ceilings. They were very accommodating & even assisted with changing out lights within the association. The painters were extremely attentive to details; clean clean work. The job was done on schedule and finished slightly ahead of estimated time. Again, an A+ outfit.

I called Hratch for this small project because he painted my whole house two years ago. He is the only person I trusted to work on this cherry window seat because is a perfectionist and a stickler for details. My contractor used a different painter to paint my addition but I would not let him work on the cherry because samples he gave me did not meet my expectations. In contrast, Hratch exceeded my expectations. You will be very happy with his work whether the job is very large or very small.

We were extremely happy with him. He was extremely punctual and the pricing was very good. It was a last minute job and he even came in on a Saturday and did it. He did it fast and it was a good job. He was very friendly and fast. It was 2 different jobs. We would definitely use them again.

IMG Painting painted the interior of my large 2 floor apartment at the beginning of the year. They did a fantastic job. They had no problem painting my previously oil painted apartment in latex. I had very definite ideas regarding color, sheen, and what constituted a great job. They had no problem with any of my ideas or requests. When I gave them an option they always took the best rather than the easiest one. On the rare occasion that I was unhappy with a detail, they gladly did it to my satisfaction. The owner of the company, Hratch Iskenderian, is a can do person. He also is so clearly knowledgeable and tactful enough that I never questioned his solutions to the few problems that arose. And, in each instance, his solution was right. His crew is competent and friendly. They too went out of their way to please me. If you want your interior painting done right and for a fair price, IMG Painting is your contractor.

I set up 4 painting quotes since we were looking to paint most of the inside with 10 different paint colors and wanted a good professional job done. We were also looking for a good price since we ended up doing the kitchen and baths over and was cash conscience. Hratch was the last one to give me a quotes and I kind of had a feeling before we even met that he was going to get the job based on the reviews on Angie's list......especially when he drove up promptly in his IMG Smart Car. Hratch came in with his IPAD and we walked though the house. He attentivily listened to my needs (since we hired a designer) throughout every room....made suggestions about colors sheens, different paint quality (Benjamin Moore Aura) for the solid colors and baths. He even suggested that since I was replacing my cabinets and appliances to throw the old ones on Craigs list which I got over $1000 for. I was just going to give them to the contractor. He also gave me a time frame when his guys would start and an approx date that they would finished. After I recieved all 4 quotes, I went with Hratch.......not only with price but I could tell this is a passion for Hratch and that he doesn't sleep well if the work is not done correctly. The IMG painters showed up every morning and put in 8 hours. The all seemed like really nice guys. They prepped the floors since they were just refinished. Hratch was on site everday to give guildence then left to attend to his appointments........I think he even worked the last day just to make sure everything was cleaned up. It's also the little things that they do also that matters.....like putting on my new door knobs, cleaning my ceiling fan, removing old putty and filling it back in, removing wall lights (4) just to make sure they painted behind them. working around the contactor who was in and out of rooms and I could go on and on.

He is excellent and is reasonably priced. He was perfect and nothing dripped and all his crew was experienced. He did it for the price he said he would do it. It was very through rough and done in a timely manner. I will now using his services exclusively.

Hratch and is team (per usual) are punctual, fair and professional. Responds in a timely fashion and is able to get the job done at a great price compared to other painters I've contacted. I've used Hratch previously to paint most interior walls in our condo in Boston. Hratch and his team even stayed late one night to repaint two walls; I inadvertently had told them the wrong colors and didn't realize it until I came home from work. The team stayed late to fix MY mistake at no charge - they are amazing!

IMG Painting was superb in completing all components of the job, from prep to detail work. The job entailed painting a popcorn ceiling, preparing and painting walls, doors and trim of a two-bedroom condominium, and painting baseboards throughout the unit. I interviewed various potential painting companies, and IMG was in a superior class. The attention to detail was remarkable--and I am extremely demanding--and their absolute commitment to customer satisfaction was the hallmark of their service. The team took obvious pride in its work and the owner examined each aspect of the job. The price was reasonable, the work executed in a timely manner and the end-result exceptionally fine. I hired IMG painting for my new cafe. I was on a strict deadline and in a timely, professional manner, they patched up all the walls and painted them. They were on time, the project was completed within 3 days (I was told it could take up to 7-10 days) and all of the employees were professional and courteous. Hratch went above and beyond what I had expected. He was extremely helpful in choosing the color scheme, the type of paint that should be used and the most cost effective way. He didn't cut corners and was honest in all of his suggestions. In addition, I had to redo all of my kitchen floors and he worked with me in finding a kitchen grade epoxy paint which he applied to the floors. This was a great, cost effective solution that resolved a huge issue. There is no one else I would hire to do any type of paint work, interior or exterior.

It went well. I got an estimate in the spring but due to my own schedule I could not get the work done until September. They stuck with their original estimate. Wood around some of the windows was rotting and they repaired it before painting.

The work done by Hratch and his crew of painters (4 total who worked in my house in 2-man shifts over the course of 3 days, and all 4 on the last day) was excellent, and the courtesy, consideration and professionalism we experienced was much appreciated. Hratch came to look over the house and provide an estimate, and he was able to understand and interpret my ideas for the look I had in mind. He gave advice when asked, but was never pushy. We both have young children of similar age, so he helped me with ideas for my daughters' bedroom. I felt very comfortable with Hratch and having him do the work - though there was a slight delay in getting the initial estimate. When we received it, though, it was very reasonable, even including some work other potential painting firms weren't going to incorporate (taking down old cabinets and fixing up the walls behind), so we decided to go ahead with IMG Painting. I think anyone trying to do renovation work in their home will encounter issues/problems - to me, it is far more important how people work through those problems. We experienced 3 issues, but they were all handled as well as possible, with Hratch going above and beyond to address them or compensate us. The first was that the job prior to ours was taking longer due to some additional work the other homeowners asked Hratch to have done, so our painting start date was delayed a few days. Since we had just moved in, we'd refrained from settling the furniture so that the painters would have easy access to the walls, and I was looking forward to having the painting done and unpacking. Hratch was able to pull in more of his crew to finish our job so that it was done in fewer days than originally planned - and since I also made some changes to my original plan in the middle that had to extend our job a little, I can't fault that happening with the job prior to us. The second issue was that the original estimate had not included a part of the job we'd discussed verbally, so it got added in to the final estimate that came just before painting was to begin. The additional cost was a little more than we had anticipated, so I discussed this with Hratch - not that I was at all unwilling to pay it (even with the added cost, the final estimate was still the best one we'd received), but just that the amount was added in after everything was agreed upon. Hratch was very considerate of my perspective, and reduced that cost in a way that was more than generous in our favor. The last issue was that, when moving some of the furniture, a (very) heavy armoire apparently had some kind of nail sticking out far enough that it scratched a piece of the (newly-done) hardwood floor when it was lifted across the bedroom. Hratch came to me about it immediately after his guys talked to him, showed me the scratch and offered to have it repaired through the same company that had just done our floors (Elite Floorcraft, whom it turned out he also knew, as they had done the floors of his house too). The lengths Hratch was willing to go to handle any concern more than made up for any inconvenience. More benefits for us: Hratch's team took down some old cupboards and a cabinet from the laundry and repaired/prepped the wall behind it for painting (you can't tell there was a cupboard there before!), moved a large sectional sofa into the basement for us, removed some messy old paint off the glass of the side door that was an eyesore, and repainted trim or touched up doors wherever needed. Hratch spent most of the first and last day at the house, would be there in the morning and usually at the end of the day to discuss the day's work and what was next, and at the end of the project he went over everything (and he is extremely detail-oriented) and any part that needed a little extra care (even if it wasn't in the original job) he took care of. Early on Hratch had left me one of his paint fan-folds to help me with color selection, and when I had narrowed down my choices to 3-4/room he worked with me to get the final color. However, in one bedroom the color I had chosen was far more vibrant on the wall than I had expected, so I asked them if it could be toned down with a fainter color (since I hated to waste the original effort), but I was indecisive about what combination would give me the color I wanted. Hratch responded that I should instead pick the final color I want and they would repaint, because he wanted to be sure I was happy with the end result (he even made a quick detour to the paintshop when I called him the morning of with a color change) - and this room ended up being one of my favorite spaces because of the lovely final color ('Palladian Blue' by Benjamin Moore). We've had several visits from family and friends since moving in about 8 weeks ago, and all have remarked on the great workmanship and color choices throughout the house, especially those who saw it before painting. My husband and I are delighted with how the painting came out, and unreservedly recommend Hratch and his team at IMG Painting.

Excellent!! If your looking for quality painting, perfection, and reliability, then you should hire IMG Painting Company. We have owned our home since 1980, put on two additions, and have done numerous projects over the years. Our experience with different painting companies haven't always been what we expected. Hratch, the owner, was a customer of mine at a bank I worked for. I was having house guests and wanted a few rooms painted, so I made arrangements for him to give us a price. After quoting a price, he gave me an idea of when he was available. I didn't mention to him that I had gotten two other prices for the job. One much higher, the other in the same price range. Given the fact that the other company could do the job that same week, in the similar price range, it seemed like a no brainer. Have it done sooner than later. But, I decided to wait the three weeks. BEST DECISION !!!!! Hratch is very knowledgeable about color tones, lighting, contrast and creating the perfect atmosphere in a room. Needless to say, the colors I was thinking of were way off from what I was looking for. His great sense of humor makes it fun to work with him. Putting his name on each job, he is also very serious when it comes to wanting only the best job done. His staff is always on time, friendly, neat and take much pride in their work. If something has to be moved in the room they are painting, it is moved,(included in the price). Everything is put back, and vacuumed. You would never know they were there. Hratch came by several times to see if everything was to our satisfaction. I will always call IMG to paint, no matter if I have to wait a while. He is in demand and without a doubt, worth the wait. These guy's are great. I hired them to completely paint my house. They had a great quote. Came to the job on time every day till it was complete. Touched up after other sub-contractors banged up their work and finished on time. Neat, Complete & Very professional. I highly recommend !

We contacted them but they didn't come out to look at the job. We never heard anything from them.

After securing numerous quotes from reputable painters I chose IMG painting and I do not regret my choice. IMG was not the cheapest quote, but nor were they the most expensive. Hratch, the owner, is knowledge about his trade and excellent at communication; he listened very closely to my many concerns. His team were particular attentive to surface preparation, which was very important to me given the many layers of paint on the old clapboards of my Victorian house. After fully scrapping the surfaces they employed a Hepa Vac sander, which allowed them to safely create a surface with smoothed over edges before priming. They also supplied me with a carpenter at a reasonable hourly rate to replace the numerous clapboards and pieces of trim that were split or rotten. The team, led by the hard-working Renato, was punctual, courteous and did an excellent job cleaning up after each day?s work. Equally important, they did not try to rush the job, which took longer than expected because of numerous rain delays. Because I did not want to add a lot of heavier coats of paint to the existing layers on the clapboards, they only applied one coat of finish to the body, but they were able to apply it thickly enough using brushes and rollers that it looks good ? all despite the fact that the primer was tinted slightly lighter than the final coat (not their fault, but a problem with the degree to which Sherman Williams paints can be deeply tinted). I do not hesitate in recommending this firm to those who appreciate a quality job.

I can't praise this company enough. From his very first visit, when he came to look at the job in order to give me a proposal, Hratch showed what a caring professional he is. When I showed him a stain that had bled through the paint on a first floor bedroom ceiling, he said he would throw in painting of that ceiling at no additional cost. And he did. He also did a touchup of my kitchen ceiling. His professionalism and attention to detail is such that he had his team take all the old glass doorknobs and brass backplates off so that I could strip old paint off them and polish them. When he came to inspect the work as it progressed (he does this usually several times a day), he didn't like the job I was doing on the brass, so he took over! What other owner of a business like this would take time out to polish brass with the homeowner? He said he liked doing that sort of thing. He was, in every respect, a delight to deal with. Throughout the job, Mauro (superb professional and a true gentleman) and his wonderful team worked meticulously to get the painting absolutely perfect. Some of my windowsills were in a sorry state. When I asked them if they could sand them a bit more after they had already applied the first coat of paint, they obliged without hesitation. In one room involving three paint colors, they redid the door trim after seeing that the color we originally thought would work didn't. And it was Mauro who urged the change, which meant more work for him. Hratch told me not to worry about any marks the floor sanders (Elite Floorcraft, an excellent company with whom Hratch works seamlessly) and movers might make, that he would be back not only to put a second coat on the baseboards but to do any necessary touchups. They came back not once but twice to do touchups and even repaired some damage done by an electrician to a wall not involved in this painting at no additional cost. Hratch has a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor. I actually miss his daily visits and seeing photos of his new baby on his cell phone. I would absolutely use this company again and I recommend them with great enthusiasm. I am a perfectionist and so are they. If you are a perfectionist too, you should hire them.

Hratch and crew were clean, courteous and professional. The interior walls, ceiling and base boards have never looked so good! The work was done quickly, with extreme care to detail. I would definitely recommend Hratch and will use him again for future work.

We did not select IMG (price), but the quote was very fair and Hratch pointed out things and brought things to our attention others did not. I would recommend them based on my experience and if I needed any type of painting done in the future, I would not hesitate to get another quote from them.

Ultimately we were happy with our experience with Hratch and IMG. The positives: (1) The end result is great. All three jobs were well done, with attention to detail. Our living/dining room area is sizable and tricky to paint well, and the team did an excellent job. They were also very thorough with fixing the holes and wall imperfections. (2) Hratch was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process and offered good suggestions on color for paint and stains. His team was also very polite and professional. They were careful with furniture, cleaned up, etc. as promised. (3) The quote was very reasonable--middle of the range--and detailed. We knew exactly what to expect. (4) He arrived on time both days, and his time estimates were right on. The main negative was that it was a little harder than I would have expected to schedule. Once we selected IMG, I had to follow up a few times to get Hratch to pick a day for the work, and when he did, the notice was a little shorter than I'd hoped (though, to be fair, he was happy to push it back a week as another option). Granted, there were some extenuating circumstances (Hurricane Sandy), but it was a little frustrating. In the end, though, we got a great paint job for a reasonable price, and I felt like Hratch understood exactly what we wanted for the work. We would use IMG again.
