The job was done exactly as described. We had one issue that was quickly attended to. I highly recommend this company.

We didn't actually have the work done. They were fantastic. We got two estimates. We called and the owner came the next day right on time. We wanted a ballpark and he would only mail it to us. The price was way too high.

The finished job is good. They did it in a day and it looks fantastic. They were very careful not to hurt my flowers while installing the fence, which was very thoughtful of them. We had to have some trees taken out and he said that he would schedule me as soon as the trees were taken out because we are in town and really exposed to people walking out of the liquor store into my backyard. I called and told him the trees were out and he said he would try to get me in right away on Tuesday or Wednesday. I didn't hear from him on Wednesday, so I called and he said Thursday or Friday at the latest. He didn't call and they were very busy, and he wasn't professional at keeping me in the loop. It finally got done on Friday and it was done very well. They arrived when they said they would and did it in a day, but he could have called to let me know what was going on. I didn't appreciate it.

They responded quickly, came out for the estimate when they said they would, and did a good job fixing our tired old fence.

They disposed of the old fence. It was excellent. The owner came out for the estimate. I had to have some tree stumps removed before they could do the work and they were very flexible in scheduling. I called when the trees were out and they scheduled it for the next week. We had rain and they called to see if they could do it on a weekend. He had a crew of four or five and did it in one day. I would definitely hire tham again.

We have extensive bushes and trees. They trimmed the trees, where needed. Then they build the fence following the contours of my property (it slopes upward). They worked until 7:00 at night. The workers were polite and friendly, and cleaned up each area where they worked. They took particular care to ensure the fence was level with the ground, and that the two doors swung shut, so the dog would be secure. I would absolutely recommend this company.

Despite delays due to the flooding (supplies couldn't be delivered), the project was completed in a timely and extremely professional manner. If you want a company that will respond to your concerns immediately, then hire Ideal. They back up their product/services 100% and are a throwback to a time when word of mouth reputation was everything!

There is no start to the story because Mark simply has not shown up. I understand work is at a premium now after all the MA storms, but I'm a patient person provided I'm kept in the loop. I've had to initated 2 phone calls and Mark promised to come by. 10 days later, still no Mark. I'm now going to use another company and hope I have better luck.

This is the second time I've worked with Eddie Nilan of Ideal Fence on behalf of my condo association. This time the association had trouble agreeing on a style of fencing. Eddie gave us quotes for two different options in April, then worked with me over several months to provide new quotes in response to other ideas that association members wanted to explore. He was patient and responsive throughout, and the new fencing looks great.

Mark was great to work with in designing and planning our fence. His estimate was reasonable, so we decided to go with him. We ordered fencing that took a couple of weeks to get, but they were able to install a few days after it arrived. Mark and his two men did an excellent job, and the new fence looks great. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing fence work.

I requested a quote and one of the owners came out that afternoon. He was the first one to come out and they had the best price and they were closer and more local. They were responsive and they were able to get the job done in one day. The workmen were very professional and everything was clean and neat. They stand behind their work and I was told to call them if anything happens to the fence. They gave me a three day notice to when they could come and they worked from 8 AM to 8 PM to get it all done in one day.

I got 3 estimates which were pretty close to the same price. I went with Ideal because I really liked Eddie. My only complaint was that it took longer than expected to get the job done, but I understand it was because of all the rain we have had. Eddie told me 2-3 weeks, and it was actually a little over 4 weeks but we had a lot of rain which slowed them down. The 2 guys who installed the fence were professional and polite and cleaned up after themselves and very pleasant while working in extreme heat and humidity.

I was extremely pleased with them and the pricing was quite reasonable. I had a few quotes from a few different people and theirs was the second lowest of the lot. They were really great. We picked up the type of fence that I wanted and the installation took about 2 or 3 days. The crew was really polite. The fence is a year old and it has not required any maintenance. It was a very nice experience and I?ve got nothing negative to say about them.

I called Ideal Fence on a Friday mid-afternoon and left a message with the answering service. Eddie Nilan returned my call around 6 pm that evening and said he'd come by to give an estimate the next day, Saturday. He came in the morning and tested all the posts in our stockade fence, finding two more that needed reinforcing, in addition to the ones where the fence was falling over in two places. He wrote up an estimate for $650 with a rough sketch of where the reinforcing pins would go. I called him that afternoon to accept the proposal and schedule the work. He suggested that we didn't actually schedule it, since it might get done sooner if they could fit it in whenever they had time. He called the following Wednesday morning to say the crew was coming. The two workers were fast, efficient, and courteous; one introduced himself by his first name when he saw me. They installed nine steel pins (actually pipes about 1 1/2" in diameter and 6 feet long, I think) in about two hours. The pins are neatly capped and each pin is attached to its cedar fence post with screws through two brackets. The pins are driven into the (rocky!) ground about 2 or 3 feet, so that the top of the pin is even with the top of the fence's middle rail. The fence is partly on a hillside and/or has plants, bushes and trees near it, but the guys didn't do any unnecessary trampling of the plants. The only debris left behind was one screw I found in the grass. The work was done well and I expect it will add years to the life of our fence.

It was good. We had an estimate on about 40 feet of fencing, and they gave us the estimate on the spot, which was nice. They were very responsive and quick, and although we decided not to do the work at this time, we would consider them in the future.

I got estimates from three reputable companies. This company offered a good price. They are flexible in their ideas and concepts. I liked that you can deal with the owner and they keep you in the loop of communication in regards to any delay. They are accommodating and understanding. They follow up on the work that they do and the clean up was thorough. It is easy to use this company.

Mark came out within a couple days of me calling him for an estimate. He was very honest and provided me a very good price. It seemed like he knew of one of his competitors specials being advertised. Initially I was told the fence would be ready to be installed in a couple of weeks, it took a bit longer than that but was well before the date I had given him of when I absolutely wanted it done by (kid's birthday party). Once the date for installation was set, they stuck to that and arrived at the house when they said they would. A crew of 3 guys removed old fence and installed the majority of the new fence in one day. They did have to come back to install one gate the next day which was not anticipated but not a problem. The fence looked great upon completion. They had originally forgot the handles to the gates but Mark made sure they came back out within a couple of days to install them.

We got several estimates for the repair of a gate and chain link fence on our property that had rusted out. At first, Mark was responsive, and came the very evening I called to give us an estimate. He was a little unclear in his explanation of what he thought we needed, but we decided to go with this company based on price and pictures of his previous work, as well as reputation from the list. I called several times, however, to try and schedule work, and never received a phone call back, even after speaking with a receptionist. I found it odd that he wouldn't want the business, but I eventually stopped trying.

I was so exasperated by the time I found Ideal, because no fencing contractors wanted to fix our fence! We found out fencing contractors only will fix fences they put up themselves. Our fence was so old, I had no idea who put it up! Anyway, Ideal was listed as fence repair on Angie's List, so I gave them a shot. I was skeptical at first because Ideal uses a phone answering service, but Ed called me back that evening. He came out to do an estimate that following Saturday. The estimate was higher than we hoped, but since we couldn't get anyone else to give us the time of day, we went with them. Ed said they could be out within two weeks with no deposit required. That timing worked for us and they did not need anyone home to perform the work. In a week Ed called in the morning and I was told the fence would be fixed that day. Turns out, I happened to be working from home that day, so I met the two men who did the work. Two nice young guys who were very friendly and polite. They had the work done within a few hours. Everything was done to my expectation, no mess left behind and the fence looks great. It is so nice to have a proper fence again!

They were very patient with us as we coordinated the fencing company and a paving company. They put fencing posts into our old driveway, then we had our driveway repaved, then they came back to remeasure everything before ordering and installing the new fences. We also changed our mind about adding a new fence across another section of our property.

Went well. We had a slight aesthetic disagreement during installation but they did it our way.

I have used them in the past for repair work. I recommend this company to those looking for fencing repair. They are one of the only companies that do repairs to fences, instead of trying to convince you to just purchase a new fence. They are very good.

This was my first estimate so I may have missed some things. Mr. Nilan came promptly and prepared an estimate right there on his clipboard. His price proved to be within $100 of all but one of the others I got. I went to their showroom in Watertown to look at the fencing. They did not have an actual showroom but their large work area and it was difficult to tell exactly what I was going to get. However, after interrupting the owner to find out what it was I was getting, I decided to go with them. I sent them the deposit with a note that the fence was to be cedar tongue and groove. This was my understanding although it wasn't written on the estimate. Mr. Nilan called me to say that the estimate wasn't for T&G and that it would be more. Consequently I got my deposit back and went with another company.

My job wasn't work that they do, but Ideal Fence responded immediately with a referral to another capable contractor who did the work expertly and quickly. I greatly valued their professionalism, and will definitely contact Ideal Fence first for any work we have within their own area of expertise. Estimated cost was $600.
