D & R Electric did an exceptional job. The work was done by Nicholas and Mark, two men who knew what they were doing and did it incredibly well. I can't say enough about their work. We had a mess going because of having used ADT and Vivint for monitored security - which was a disaster. We had two other companies before we called D & R Electric. They took down the equipment which didn't work; rtepaired the mess left by the security companies and it was extensive; installed three wall sconces - two of which had to be rewired and they were not easy being over 100 years old; they installed a door bell which worked unlike two installed before they arrived which did not work and one installed by Vivint left holes in my historical home which insects were going in and out of having a great time because the bell was installed by an unlicensed person. Everything I asked Mark and Nicholas to do was done with dispatch and elegance. We will call them again and have noted to homes we help manage that this is the electrical company of our choice and one they should use exclusively.

was able to book electrician visit within a few days. extremely nice person showed up exactly on time and carefully examined the two ceiling light fixtures i had questions about. i opted to replace one of them, and bought the one standard fixture they had with them, for a very reasonable price. while replacing, electrician updated the wiring in the ceiling and explained what he was seeing/doing as he went along.

When a hanging, single-bulb light fixture sparked when the pull chain was tugged, I called D & R Electric to evaluate what was needed. An electrician came to inspect the fixture and the wiring in the ceiling box. He quickly determined the problem was a broken wire in the cord going from the light socket to the ceiling box that caused the spark and fried the inside of the socket. It took about 15 minutes to diagnose the problem and remove the fixture. He took the fixture back to the workshop to re-wire with a new threaded socket that I provided. When the fixture was re-wired, another electrician spent about 15 minutes to connected the cord to the ceiling box and re-hang the fixture. I don't know the extent of effort at the workshop to install a new socket and wire in the chain of the fixture, but everything works as good as new. The electricians were very efficient and professional. My only negative experience was the difficulty contacting the company by phone. They use an answering service and after leaving messages on several days that resulted in calls back with phone messages when I was unavailable, I tried using email through Angie's List. That worked much better and within a short time we came to a mutually-convenient appointment time. The final price seemed a bit high, but given two visits and work in the workshop, it does not seem unreasonable. This was the first time I had used D & R, but I would consider using them again.

The service was performed as scheduled. The electrician reviewed the problem and investigated the issue properly before we came up with a plan of attack. We originally thought it may be just removing an errant wire, but we found that it was slightly more complicated and the full circuit needed to be properly moved and rerouted from the closest junction box. The job was completed cleanly, properly, and quickly.

Excellent. Person on the phone was pleasant, courteous and responsive to my need for a particular date and time for the service. Service men (2) arrived at the specified time with stepladder, replacement unit, and took kit. Quickly replaced the defective smoke detector with a more appropriate unit than we had purchased, explaining the advantages, and suggested returning ours for a refund, which we did. Gave excellent advice on our questions about the electrical outlets, leading to the suggestion of not proceeding with any work on that score at present, with which we agreed. In all, a brief and very productive visit. The men were pleasant to interact with, highly professional, and interested in giving their best advice as opposed to promoting unnecessary additional service. A very good experience, and certainly a company I would use again.

They come whenever is necessary. They are very versatile. They are knowledgeable, and do just about any type of work electrically related. They are willing to work on time, even in the middle of a snow storm, and they are very responsive.

I needed service for the next day,Dand R obliged and were on time and did the work very professionally. They communicated very well and the price was reasonable and I was very happy with the quality of the work. I'd definitely use them in the future.

D & R was great to work with. There was a small delay in getting the work done due to inclement weather (Water and Electricity do not mix), but when the weather cleared, the work was completed in one day and the job they did was great.

Joe ryan and his crew were fantastic. I called for the work to be done and Joe let me know when they would arrive. They arrived earlier than expected and worked continually without breaking until the job was done. They are clean, polite and very professional. A definite re-use over and over again.

I called after the job was done with a request to fix an improperly wired switch, and they sent someone within two hours to finish the job.

He did a good job. I thought the gentleman was mindful of safety and went above and beyond.

Everything went well. It seemed that someone had turned off the lights at the source. Furthermore, they responded quickly, arrived on time, and did a good job. I would highly recommend them.

I have used D and R Electric for many years now and I have never had a complaint. The men are always prompt, courteous, clean and knowledgable. The owner Joe, is reliable and thoroughly invested in making sure the customer is happy.

Dand R electric was recommended to me by a number of people. The manager/receptionist (?) Renee was very nice and helpful. However, the electrician who showed up, came an hour late and didn't even apologize, just said "oh" when I opened the door and told him he was an hour late. And he showed up without the necessary parts to do the job. Then when I got the bill it was almost twice as much as quoted cause the guy had to stay late cause (1) he was late and (2) didn't have the required materials. I was able to get the owner/manager to lower the price back down to the original quote, but I was definitely a little put off by their professionalism.
