They did a very good job. They laid the rugs down where they were and also cut the pads.

Amazing job! The rugs had been recently urinated on by our cat - our own attempts to clean them using commercial enzyme-based solutions led to bleeding of dyes and staining. What a disaster! We thought these large, beautiful rugs were write-offs. Took them to Bon Ton, and to our amazement, when we got them back, not only were the cat smells gone, but the large stain caused by the running of dyes was gone too! What a relief... A bonus: the cat no longer seems interested in doing her business on the rugs (Bon Ton told me they applied a citrus-based product to keep the cat away). Bon Ton also made small repairs to moth holes and frayed fringes. Great value! Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

They do all the cleaning by hand. They hang them, clean them, and brush them out. I have also had them repair a rug for me as well. They charge by size and they do measure them. They also sell pads to go under the rugs.

They are always courteous, reliable and do good work. Delivery is prompt and a reminder call is always placed to consumer. Prices are reasonable quotes are followed through I recently paid 400.00 for three 5'-8' rugs and four smaller area rugs. This included storage over the summer(rugs were picked up at my home). They did an excellent job cleaning this rug and the stenciling was preserved in excellent condition. Their price was very reasonable and they got the cleaning done quickly. I'll have this company do work again for me.

If you have fine rugs; the place to go in our area is Bonton. I care not to discuss what I paid for them to clean my fine rug, but I was willing to pay it because it was reasonable and they are the best cleaning place when you have fine belongings. They are skilled and responsible and major rug retailers will always tell you to use them for your rug cleaning needs.

I selected BON TON from an Angie's List search because they reportedly were very knowledgeable about Persian rugs. My 9'x7' predominantly red Bahktiari rug was 14 years old and had never been cleaned. I rolled it up and took it in to BON TON myself, which led to a discount of about 20%. The BON TON operation is very relaxed and methodical, with one sultan-like expert (who's name I did not learn) and three administrative staff patiently performing their respective duties with barely a word spoken. I was concerned about some patches on my carpet that I thought needed repair but this was indulgently explained to me simply as "white knots", a natural phenomenon of wear that did not betoken damage. My carpet was cleaned and BON TON telephoned me two weeks later, as promised, to let me know it was ready. It is noticeably brighter than when I took it in. I have three more larger Persians that also need cleaning, and they're all going to BON TON. An excellent, if slightly, surreal experience.

This is an old world family run operation. They know their stuff. If you bring in your rugs yourself there is a 25% discount and the experience is well worth it. They'll lay them out and price the cleaning and then give a preliminary repair recommendation -- then after they clean them they will call to discuss price and extent of repairs. They can do magic! But the added plus is, if you ask they will tell you their best educated guess about the rugs age, condition, etc. The one warning is that they can be slow...
