The process of getting the estimate was veey easy. I spoke to Steve at the office. We ran through some of the larger items in the apartment, and he was able to provide a good estimate. On the day of the move, the team arrived early. They took excessive care of all over the furniture, and the wood floors in the apartment. They asked a lot of questions, and they made sure we were comfortable with the work they were performing. When we arrived at the house, the put down moving pads to protect our floors since it was raining a little bit. They were very efficient and responsive. At the end of the move, the total the actual time was two hours more than what was estimated, yet the total cost of the move was less than the estimate. Overall, we had an excellent experience, and would recommend to anyone.

The supervisor worked like crazy - all the guys did. They packed our four bedroom house in a day and then moved us the next day. They had the boxes with all our linens in them marked "Open First" so we were able to put our three kids to bed on time at the end of a long day. We had no breakage and were able to find everything when we went to unpack. I would recommend them and use them again.

When I called another company, their number was transferred to Benny's Moving and Storage. They were fine. It was irritating to find out that we didn't find out right away because that wasn't who you were calling. You call the number for another company and then when they answered the phone, they say Benny's Moving and Storage, and you're not really listening for that because you're assuming that it's going to be the other company. It didn't dawn on me until halfway through the conversation and then they asked for the credit card to hold. Then I was thinking, well I don't know if I want to give my credit card number and now I don't even know whom I am calling. But I did and it ended up being fine, but that was a concern that I had, you didn't know that it was actually not the company you thought you were calling. I thought they were good. The guys were fine. I did have to ask them, I'm not sure they would have covered the banister and everything if I hadn't said to them, can you please be sure you cover the banister, because they were just moving something from the basement to our third floor. So I kind of think they thought, well we'll just do a quick move. But it was heavy weight like gym equipment and so I had to ask them to do that. Once I asked them, it was fine, they did it and they were able to really have the equipment and they were three younger guys and they did a really good job.

After calling several moving companies in the greater Boston area, I decided to move forward with Benny's Moving & Storage after a pleasant phone call with their sales woman and the price she quoted me on the phone. Her statement over the phone was the price would not exceed $490.50 based on the information and moving locations I provided. After giving her my deposit over the phone, she sends me a confirmation email with a new price of $520.50. After quickly inquiring why the price was different, she informed me that they had to estimate packing material costs. I felt a little deceived but proceeded anyway. When the moving day took place, Benny's guys got lost for "2 hours" and said they couldn't find the location. Of course the house could easily be found on any GPS device or Google Maps. Once they finally arrived, they began packing the truck. There did turn out to be 2 metal shelves in the basement that we asked that they take as well that were not part of the original estimate. With the truck packed, the movers brought everything to the final destination, unloading the truck in a timely fashion. Finally the head mover, finished the paperwork and charged me over $750 for the move!!! I asked him to define why the price was greater than the "not to exceed" estimate provided and he said it took longer. I then asked him to define where all his time was spent (getting lost) and he gave me back the same hour estimate the sales person gave me. I then asked why the price was higher than quoted. He had no answer and said I can simply call the office!!!! After calling the office, they informed me that the price was higher due to the fact that there were 2 shelves that were not estimated and that they had to take them apart and reassemble in the new location. This was a supposed increase of 2.5 hours. The facts are that they did have to move 2 shelves but they didn't take an additional 2.5 hours, it was more like an additional 20 minutes. They also DID NOT reassemble the shelves in the final location (the office said they did) as I told them not to. The office didn't care about my honest assessment and grew angry with me over the phone. In summary, it is clear that Benny's deceived me all along with their price and I'm sure they do this frequently to others. I'm a reasonable person who has never written an online review. I simply don't want others to be deceived by their practices. It's too easy for a company to provide a "not to exceed" estimate, complete all the work and simply ask for more money after the job is done. At the very least I would have expected the movers to tell me on the spot prior to starting the move that since their estimate was not correct additional charges would be required.

Estimate was good. Rates were better than others. Explained that we could add things on and extend the time at quoted hourly rate. Crew chief was Marcos. Had Domingo, Brian and Salbi along. These guys were great. Worked hard and quickly, carefully and responsively. Asked appropriate questions. Did the little extra things.

Their employee "Steve" gave me a quote over the phone based on an approximate inventory I had emailed him. He also discussed their procedure and any concerns I had on the phone, so I never met him (or anyone else from the company) in person prior to moving day. He emailed me a quote so I would have it in writing. On moving day the truck and men showed up precisely on time, loaded the truck with the furniture and cartons I had prepacked, and took them to my new home in Millis. Between the time Steve gave me the quote and the time I moved, I decided to add many items to the list that I had originally intended to move myself, so the truck was very full. I was expecting a significant bump in the price, but since the same men and the same truck were used, the price was not increased at all. A very pleasant surprise. The closing on my new home was the same morning as the move, and we expected to be finished to meet the truck in Millis when it arrived, but their was a bank-caused delay, so they had to wait in our driveway for about an hour while it was resolved before they could begin to unload. Yet, the price still stayed the same. I wish all service providers were this good and easy to work with.

They were very good. They were right on time, very careful, and did more than I had been quoted but didn't charge me any extra.

The price was good. They never officially booked me so they came late. I probably should have called them to confirm the booking but they did a good job.

The pricing was very reasonable and much lower than others. They did a fabulous job. I never have had movers this good. They showed up on time, were professional, packed things I had not had a chance to. They were fast and courteous and cared for my things. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

They were wonderful. They showed up 5 minutes early and finished ahead of schedule, although I had much more to move than I realized. They were friendly and helpful and took care with my things. I would definitely recommend them.

THE OVERALL MOVE STARTED WELL. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND SPEEDY. HOWEVER, THERE WAS SOME MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FURNITURE. WHEN MY FIANCE POINTED IT OUT TO THE MOVERS, THEY BECAME VERY HOSTILE. I WAS TOLD THAT WOMEN ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT AND THAT WE'RE PROBABLY SAYING THAT IN ORDER TO GET A DISCOUNT.

THESE PEOPLE ASSURED ME THEY WERE VERY EXPERIENCED IN MOVING COMPUTERS. I DON'T BELIEVE IT. NONE OF MY COMPUTER EQUIPMENT WAS PACKED TOGETHER, NONE OF THE BOXES MARKED CORRECTLY. MONITORS WERE PACKED ON TOP OF PRINTERS, COMPUTERS ON TOP OF KEYBOARDS. I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO LIST ALL THE DAMAGE DONE RANGING FROM SCUFFS AND SCRAPES ON FURNITURE TO EXPENSIVE CRAFT PAPERS HELD TOGETHER WITH TAPE AND PIECES OF A BOOKCASE COMPLETELY SPLINTERED. THERE WAS TAPE ALL OVER EVERYTHING FROM WOOD FURNITURE TO BOOKS TO FABRIC. I HAVE FOUND INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF SEVERAL COLLECTIBLE BOXED SETS, BUT NOT THE BOXES. SOME SENTIMENTAL ITEMS WERE IN ONE OF THE BOXES AND THOSE ARE GONE FOREVER. I NEVER FOUND ANY OF THE SHELVES FOR TWO DESK HUTCHES OR A SMALL ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. I ESPECIALLY DID NOT APPRECIATE THE COMMENTS AND LAUGHTER THAT WOULD SUDDENLY STOP WHEN I WALKED IN A ROOM NOR THE CREW MANAGER GETTING INTO A FIGHT WITH A FORMER NEIGHBOR WHO CALLED THE POLICE.

THEY WERE HIGHLY RATED, SO I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH.

LOTS OF STAIRS AT BOTH LOCATIONS. CHARGED BY THE HOUR, BUT THEY WORKED FAST. CHEAP, EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY. A GREAT MOVING COMPANY. MOVED SOME ADDITIONAL STUFF FROM SECOND FLOOR OF NEW PLACE TO BASEMENT.

MANAGER DOES NOT READ OR RESPOND TO EMAILS -- YOU MUST CALL HIM.

THEY WERE FAST AND COURTEOUS, AND BARELY STOPPED FOR A BREATHER ALL DAY. THEY BEAT THEIR TIME ESTIMATE BY OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF AND ALL OF OUR FURNITURE ARRIVED UNSCATHED. THE QUOTE WAS $119 AN HOUR FOR 4 MEN. GREAT EXPERIENCE. ONLY 1 OF THE FOUR MEN SPOKE ENGLISH WELL, BUT THAT TURNED OUT TO BE ENOUGH TO GET THE WORK DONE EFFECTIVELY.

THEY WERE PATIENT ABOUT FINANCIAL SITUATIONS. THEY TREATED PEOPLE VERY WELL. TOOK INDIVIDUALS INTO ACCOUNT.
