Had to call many times to get order status for dishwasher ( Bosch) that took 10 months to arrive. At one point, it must have been in warehouse but they didn't call us until we repeatedly called back and finally got through to someone who would actually check the order accurately. Following that, the dishwasher broke after about 2 months, they don't service anything so they said call the mfg. We did, have to wait weeks if not a month now ( Aug/sept 2022). They aren't helpful, this was at one time ( 20 years ago) a local small business you wanted to support. Not anymore

We got the wrong stoves delivered and they wont take them back. terrible!
Description of Work: My 85 & 80 year old parents needed a new stove. So I priced different stores. and my parents wanted to go with a local family store for better service. So I brought my parents in and I told the saleperson. we need 2 simple stoves with 4 burners and boil and baking in one. my parents are to old to bend down to the floor to boil. the salesperson went on his computer and showed us a stove. we asked if they had a floor modle to look at. he said no. not this one. we ordered 2 stoves and paid forthem. set up a delivery date. The delivey guys were nice and helpful. they openned the boxes and brought the stoves in the house and placed them down. we were happy to get them. we openned the oven door to look for a booklet. I noticed there was no broiler bar in the stove. i looked under the stove and there was the broiler. I called the store right away and told them they ordered the wrong stove. my parents can't use this stove. they said it would cost more to replace them with a stove with the broiler inside. We said No. Please pick up your 2 stoves and give us back our money. they said no we delivered them and they would not take them back. I can not believe this is happening to my parents. I do not recommend this store at all!

Price went up $50 from the first time I saw the washer, to when I went back a week later to buy it. Owner, Allan Rogers, whispered to me that if I told him "Mike sent me," I would get an immediate $50 discount. I told him that I didn't play those games, and he just smirked. Delivery was just as deceitful. One of the deliverymen told me he had to charge me $45 to hook up the machine. I told him that I had already paid for the "extras" when I purchased the machine. He said he was required to charge this, but if I "put some money in his pocket" he wouldn't charge me. This entire experience was dishonest from the start. When I contacted the sales manager by e-mail to complain, he did not respond. I went to the store and spoke to him in person. (He did refund the delivery charge.) In addition to the deception, a screw had been stuck between the lid and the body of the washer, and it caused some gouging in the enamel. I was told it would be fixed. That never happened. I purchased the washer on May 22, 2017. It is now September 23, and I have heard nothing back from the owner, although the store manager told me several times that he shared all of my information with the owner, and that he would get back to me. I've waited 4 months, and now I'm writing a very strong recommendation NOT to buy anything from Warrendale Appliance.

The technician came in, took maybe a minute to remove the back panels, looked at the switches and the compressor for another minute, put the back panels back on and then told me the compressor has gone bad. Then he tells me he does not work on compressors. Then he goes on for a couple more minutes telling me I should buy a new refrigerator from Warrendale Appliance because the owner knows more about refrigerators than anyone he has ever met. He was at my house less than 10 minutes of which he maybe worked 3 minutes and spent another 3-4 minutes trying to convince me I should go buy a new refrigerator from Warrendale Appliance. I paid $139.95 for a technician to come to my house to tell me something I already knew who does not fix what I asked them to fix to begin with. They were very fast to respond to my initial call and for the technician to come to my house. Since then I have complained and asked for a refund and now they won’t respond at all (big surprise). This was a complete and total joke. Maybe they are good with sales but their service is the worst I have ever had. I don’t recommend them for service to anyone and I will never use them again. Their service call was basically a sales call for which I paid $139.95.
Description of Work: I had called for service to repair what looked to be most certainly a broken compressor in my 5 ½ year old refrigerator. When I called for an appointment I asked for a technician who services my brand of refrigerator and can fix that kind of problem. They told me they can help me out. They will send someone who will diagnose the problem and then let me know how much it will cost to fix it in labor and parts. Cost for the service call itself is $139.95, additional labor and costs are extra.

These guys are the best .They stayed open late, were super friendly (and funny) and they helped me load the washing machine in my minivan and off I went. Better still, they were cheaper than the big box store. I'm a customer for life and will recommend them to anyone I know buying an appliance (the dryer's not far behind, and my refrigerator is already starting to show signs of fading). They also have a great store with tons of appliances on display. ps - I almost never take the time to write reviews but these guys deserve it.
Description of Work: I had a washing machine emergency and needed to walk out of the store with a new LG washing machine. I went to a big box store but they had no back inventory on the model I wanted - standard 5 day lead time on the delivery of any model. I called Warrendale (20 minutes before they closed) and they had the model and said they could have it loaded in my car that day.

We have bought many appliances from Warrendale over the years and received excellent service, with one small exception on an old appliance removal. This is the BEST place to go when you need new appliances and Massachusetts has a tax free holiday. My experiences with big box store installers has been "the lowest bidder wins again". Warrendale has a great plumber and delivery service has also been good.

Spectacularly poor service. Dryer purchased 2 months ago was assessed by 2 different techs to determine finally, that the machine is inoperable; likely damaged in transit (last tech assessment was a week ago 10.21). First technician cancelled at last minute, and then failed to show up on the make-up visit. When he showed up, he banged the side of the dryer and exclaimed "Now it's fixed!" As soon as he left, we ran the dryer and it was once again noisy. Second technician actually came on time and was courteous, however upon examination told us the dryer was't safe to run and that it must have been damaged upon delivery. Since then we have asked for replacement or reimbursement, and Warrendale has stonewalled us. Warrendale has contacted us exactly ZERO times to remedy issue (dryer still under warranty), though we have tried calling, emailing, and in-person visits. Despite our attempt to support local business, we'll be purchasing appliances from credible big box stores in the future. We have submitted a complain through our credit card to try and get our money back.
Description of Work: We purchased a dryer from Warrendale. The sales process was good enough, staff was friendly and gave good advice on choices. Upon receipt, dryer started making noise. We called and they arranged for 2 tech visits, which didn't solve the problem. The last tech deemed the machine unsafe to use. Clearly the dryer was damaged upon delivery. We asked for either replacement or reimbursement, and they have ignored us since.

Perfect: doing business with Warrendale was fast and easy and pleasant and economical. Warrendale arranged for me to have the disposall on site within 24 hours, and did it at a competitive price. Other applicance stores & the big box stores didn't have it &/or wouldn't get it &/or couldn't have it for a week or so.

Description of Work: I bought a refrigerator from them many years ago, and was happy with sales and service then, and also in recent years. Store owner does a great job; especially helpful on tax free weekend. The refrigerator we chose 3 years ago was slightly over the 2,500 limit and the stove was under. There is more flexibility in apportioning the prices on the order with a small dealer, and you don't have to deal with Borax sales people. The only problem we have ever had was this past year when they forgot to take away the old dehumidifier when they delivered the new combo unit.

It was fine. The service was fine. The delivery was pleasant. The owner I dealt with was very pleasant. He's easy to work with. The delivery was scheduled and it went fine. I have no complaints. I got charged twice for the removal fee. When I realized it, I contacted them by email and it took a long time for that to get straightened out. It was just an oversight. I don't think it was an intentional thing. The pricing was fair.

They did good service in terms of coming back. The actual appliance I bought didn't have a consistent quality. It wasn't their fault. They did actually try to do everything possible to remedy. In the end, the quality of the dishwasher just wasn't there. It was a good service but I wouldn't buy a dishwasher again.

I'M UPDATING THIS NEARLY A MONTH LATER -- THE $25 CHECK THEY TOLD ME I WOULD RECEIVE HAS STILL NOT ARRIVED. This started out being a difficult removal and installation because of unforeseen problems on my end: the old machine which was there before I moved in would not fit thru the bathroom door, something I was unable to predict (even after measuring which I did before shopping), and the water shutoff valve, which I had believed for years had been working, failed. When the first problem was encountered, the deliverers struggled for quite a while to solve it, and finally the owner came up the street to help by removing the back of the old machine, which enabled it finally to "break free". I was glad not to have to have removed my door jambs to make this work. When the valve problem was discovered, the installers left for other deliveries while I got a plumber in on an emergency basis to shut off water to related units in my bldg. so the installation could proceed. The installers returned the same day, thankfully, and then came the third problem, of the power cord to the dryer. They kept insisting I had specified that I needed a 3-prong power cord, and therefore that's what they had brought, but when they pulled the old dryer away from the wall they found I was using a 4-prong cord in a 4-slot outlet. There ensued a controversy over the cord -- I had never specified what kind of cord I needed as I did not have the slightest idea, but I was unable to persuade them of that at the time. The owner resolved that they should use my power cord from my 35-yr old dryer on my new machine, and assured me that there was no safety issue in continuing to use that old cord. They hooked up that cord to the new dryer, and left, taking with them the new (3-plug) power cord, and leaving me with no new power cord. During one of the phone calls to the store during this episode, I spoke with one of the sales reps who told me that I would first need someone to come in and vent the dryer before I could use it. She offered to call me back with the number of someone who was somehow affiliated with the store who did that kind of work. When she hadn't called the following day, I phoned in to ask for the number. She was not at work that day, and so I spoke with another of the sales reps, who gave me the name and number of the person who did the venting (and who was very nice). I voiced my concern about the old power cord to him, and he said that the venting person could also swap out the power cord for me for a new 4-plug cord if I liked. I said great, and went ahead and contacted the venting person who did those two jobs for me later in the week. When the venting person came in and let me know I would be charged for the new power cord, I contacted the store again to contest this charge as they had walked away with the new cord that came with the machine. I was then subjected to a verbal attack by the owner who berated me for the amount of time the installation/delivery company was going to cost them because of the protracted process on the delivery date. (I did pay for installation/delivery, by the way, as well as tip each installer when they left. Further, I believe the installation company is related to the store itself, as one of the deliverers referred to the store owner as his boss.). He accused me of having insisted on the wrong cord to begin with, and then said that I had "demanded" that they send the venting man over to help me out. I finally hung up on him at that point, as I was unable to have a rational conversation with someone who kept making things up like that. "Demanded"??? I immediately wrote out a check in full to the nice venting man and was washing my hands of this company when I got a phone call about 10 minutes later from the saleswoman who told me they checked with the salesrep who originally sold me the units and that he recalls that I did not know what kind of cord I needed, and so he had assumed I needed a 3-prong because I had said it was an old machine. Therefore, because of his assumption being at the heart of this issue, they were going to refund me by check for the amount the venting man had charged me for the new 4-prong cord. Two weeks have passed since I received that call, and I finally called in to follow up on the check, and the owner informed me it would take some time as he had to receive and put together the information from the installers and the venting man. I sincerely hope I receive that $25 check, if for no other reason so as not to make a liar of the very nice saleswoman who called me to acknowledge the error and offer the reimbursement. I am sorry to have to write such a negative review, because each and every other person associated with the store (except maybe for the understandably grumpy installers) was extremely civil and pleasant to deal with. And for the record, I should note that others who have heard my story and recently had appliance installations themselves with Lowe's or Home Depot have all said that the deliverers have both kinds of cords on their trucks, so it didn't matter what cord the customer needed, as they had both options available. I realize Lowe's or Home Depot may have their own issues, and the experience might not have gone better with them in the long run --but nonetheless having both cords available seems like a no-brainer. Finally, the sales staff, again, was good to deal with, and I was initially impressed with the effort that the installers and the owner went through to get the old machine out. Unfortunately all that hard work went to h*** when I was accused of costing them so much time for delivery, of specifying the wrong information to begin with, and of "demanding" things I never demanded. ded

Very well. I had done some research over the internet and knew what I wanted. I decided I wanted to purchase from a local appliance dealer rather than Amazon just in case there was an issue. Roger worked with me over the phone and quoted me a decent price. He also recommend an installer I could use who turned out to be excellent and very reasonable. I do remember there were some follow-up issues that were not handled well, and I had to call back several times. All in all, I am very happy with my new cook top and the installation,.

I expected a very difficult job because when i replaced the AC in my other room on a previous occasion, the first company I used couldn't get the old one out and I had to hire someone at an exorbitant rate to do so, and to install the new one. This time, though the installer encountered the same issue, the solution was relatively simple and they solved it in no time. Also, they installed the AC in the evening, so I did not have to miss any work time for this. UPDATE - I DID use them again, in 2014, and had a miserable experience. I no longer recommend at all My negative review appears in 2014....
