Three Cedar Construction

I have hired Chris over the past 8+ years to do work on two different homes. He is my go-to carpenter. He did a partial remodel of our kitchen in our previous home, including a new door and an entirely new mahogany deck. He understood we wanted to do the very minimum nice work possible since a sale was in the future. He helped us get a LOT for the least cost. He has painted and made many repairs for us and last year did a partial exterior paint of our current home and this year, the same. He can sub out or hire assistants as needed. Chris is honest, reliable, kind, and does good work. He can definitely underestimate the time it will take him to accomplish something...and I factor this in when we make plans!

I like Chris. I've worked with him a couple of times and he's great to work with. He does good work, he's honest, respectful, and versatile, and he charges fair prices.

Chris came out promptly, gave me an estimate on the spot, which included honoring the senior discount, and kept in touch as he scheduled this job around another, larger project he was working on. He arrived punctually, worked steadily, and followed exactly the budget and time line that he predicted. The wall looks beautiful, smooth and seamless. Each day he would walk through the work and make sure it was done to my satisfaction. If it was not he would re-do it. I would strongly recommend him. He is a very nice person. He normally is referred by word of mouth. But someone nominated him on to Angie's List and that is where we found him. He was not the lowest price but he was close and we went with him because we liked him and his references checked out. He is thorough. He does very high quality work carefully. He protects the area he is working in and cleans up well when he is finished. He is a gracious, soft-spoken person to work with. When he is finished you feel like you got great quality for your money. He follows up to insure you are happy with the work. I am pretty fussy because I am an architect. I know what I am looking for and he does great work.

The completed deck looks just like it could be in a magazine. Everything was done beautifully. They were restricted to my specifications for the kitchen--we really were only doing the most we could with a minimal budget. The only drawback is that the time estimated to complete the entire project was about 4 times longer. This was partially due to unexpected challenges that arose but also due to inaccurate estimating. I would definitely hire again and am in fact planning to do so soon for interior carpentry and painting.

We were referred to Chris through Winter Hill Plumbing. He was extremely professional - showed up precisely on time. Neat. Thorough. Efficient. He needed to change a date and got in touch with us well in advance. Very friendly. He also does carpentry and remodeling and we plan to use him for other projects.
