Description of Work: Friend highly suggested this company. I called and made appt. Company never showed. Followed by not replying to my email for estimates. I am now looking for another company. Very disappointed

Description of Work: He replaced carpeting with a floating floor. Instead of removing door jambs he cut around it, leaving gaps and pencil marks. Had to use caulking to fill in the gaps.

Description of Work: Friendly, helpful, punctual, but the price was a bit higher than we were looking to pay and what we were quoted from others. I had confidence he and his crew would do a great job, however, and would seek to get quotes on other projects from him in the future.

Description of Work: We contacted Taozen Flooring for a consultation on the floors of the house we recently bought. Tao was able to come out the very same day, and provided us with a quote the next day. Our white oak floors were originally stained dark, and he strongly recommended to sand them to give the house a brighter look. We are very happy we followed his advise! The floors look fab now, and even the dark kitchen cabinets look better with a lighter floor. Tao's crew was able to sand and finish the whole house (about 2100 sq ft) in 5 days, as promised. We couldn't be happier!

Description of Work: Sanded and urathaned hardwoods. Floors came out great but never felt I was getting a straight answer as answers seemed to change often. Also times changed times more than what was promised and on more than 1 occasion. So while the outcome was good, commitment to times was too frustrating to consider using him again.

Description of Work: Tao and his crew were excellent. We had four bedrooms and a staircase converted from carpet to hardwood. Tao responded quickly to my initial inquiry. He left samples behind so we could decide on our new pre-finished floor color and we even arranged to meet to get larger pieces to see the color better. I had to arrange the dumpster for material removal. His grew was extremely professional and vacuumed the ENTIRE house after completing their work each day. We were under a tight timeline because we wanted the work completed before the holidays and they put in longer hours and weekend time to finish the work including a staircase that required a lot of attention. We are very pleased with the work and would recommend Tao to others.

Description of Work: They removed wall to wall carpet and replaced it with pre-finished hardwood in the upstairs of my townhouse (2 bedrooms, 2 closets, hall/landing). They were punctual and professional. The floors look amazing and they'll be back soon to do the stairway and the downstairs!

Description of Work: Tao said he needed to come to the house to give us an estimate, so we made an appointment for him to do so. Because we hadn't closed on our new house yet, we had to arrange getting into the house in order for Tao to do the estimate. In addition to myself, our agent and the seller's agent was there, and we waited, and waited. But Tao never showed up. He apologized profusely and offered us a discount because of his oversight (he simply forgot the appointment), but we ended up finding another company that was cheaper.

Description of Work: I called Taozen Flooring and receive an nearly immediate call back. The sales person came out to our house quickly to measure. We wanted a particular flooring, so the salesperson call the manufacturer for us. He called us back within a day explaining that the flooring we wanted was no long available. We have put the project on hold. Otherwise, I would definitely use Taozen Flooring.

Description of Work: Taozen installed prefinished hardwood flooring in our Cambridge house. They had to rip up the old Berber carpeting, replace some of the plywood underfloor and install the new flooring. Tao, the owner was accommodating, did not over promise, not did he under deliver. He was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but he worked with us to determine what fit our situation best.

Description of Work: When he finally came, he said he was rushed. He barely offered any information or choices. He finally said he would e-mail us a quote, but never did. For a man in a hurry, he left our house and then sat in his truck for about a half hour.
