Tao and his team did an excellent job! They went over and beyond and the pet stains they cut out and replaced seamlessly fit the older wood! They did a great job on cleanup and there was minimal dust.

Tao's team did an amazing job on our floors. After ten years, our floors had been worn down and damaged in some areas due to dogs, moving, and general wear and tear. Tao managed the process of moving our furniture (using a 3rd party mover), repaired and refinished the floors. The repairs are remarkable because they blend so well into the existing floor, it's like there was never any damage. Tao is a pro and I will definitely call him the next time I need a floor installed or refinished.

Taozen responded quickly to our request for service following a water flood on lower level of home. Performed work per their schedule. Expanded the project to include refinishing another floor of the home by sanding and recoating the existing oak flooring. Work quality was excellent.

Taozen is a top notch company and I would highly recommend them. Tao came out very quickly and provided an estimate (the price was very reasonable compared to other quotes I had received). He was very experienced and provided recommendations on how to deal with the underlying subfloor of a very old house and helped me to choose the best wood direction. They were able to finish the job within a week, and even worked around my piano, which I chose to keep in the house because it would have been too difficult to move out of the house. The finished floors were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It is well worth it to research and find a great company if you are going to have this kind of work done, and Taozen met all my expectations.

Tao knows his job and does it really well. We are quiet happy with how the fires have turned out. They did a bit of patchwork too but it's seamless. Great job receiving the old floors that were last refinished some 20 years ago! I found Tao to be very reliable w.r.t all the advice and suggestions he offered. His crew came in and spread out everywhere. He finished his work two days before the deadline so we could move in on time. They even patched a burn mark. I wish they patched another black spot right in the doorway of our bedroom. The only thing that might not go well with some people is Tao's candidness. But he means well, is competitive and did a great job. As a bonus, he has so much experience and insights into other areas of home remodeling that helped saver money on other projects too. He stopped is from knocking down one closet and we are so glad we paid heed. Service and words you can trust!! Definitely recommend Taozen!

We got a few quotes and Taozen's prices and timelines were right in line with the larger companies. The crew did and EXCELLENT job. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Tao's team did an amazing job. Their attention to detail was evident, as the patchwork was done seamlessly with high quality "select" red oak to match the existing floors, and certain areas which were difficult to sand via machine were done by hand. His team was dedicated and very professional, and the price was very competitive, particularly considering the quality of work performed.

Tao's team did a great job and we plan to hire them again when we are ready to extend the wood floor to the rest of the house. All of the thresholds to neighboring rooms are very unobtrusive, and the edge of the floors where the hardwood meets the staircase and fireplace mantle look very crisp. We went with a hickory floor to that our dog wouldn't be able to scratch it up, but we ended up going with oak treads for the staircase. Some of the steps were a weird shape and needed to be custom cut. Tao's team tested out a bunch of stains on some scrap wood, and we were able to mix a couple to get the perfect match with the hickory. It came out very well, and with the staining you really can't tell the difference between the oak and the hickory unless you look very closely.

Excellent! Tao is a true professional. He wasn't my cheapest quote but by far the most impressive and a great value, given that this is a big investment, with many potential pitfalls and/or confusions. Tao took the time to make sure I understood my options and made informed decisions all along the way. He even met me on-site at 830pm one night to show me a persistent squeaking problem that could not be handled with extra nails and recommend a solution before laying the floor. The solution (carpenter replacing small sub floor section) worked and eliminated the squeaking, which would have haunted us for many many years. I'm so glad he caught it and didn't just rush through to get the job done. He clearly takes great pride in doing excellent work and that shows in the qualify of his final product. Walking on our gorgeous wood floors has been a highlight of our first few weeks in our place.

Outstanding job in both my home and daughter's home. Excellent finish on the floors in my home. The work in my daughter's home was started by another hardwood flooring company. We had to stop them because of the poor quality of their work. I called Taozen Flooring to finish the job in my daughter's home because of the high quality of work Taozen did in my home. The stairs and floor in my daughter's home turned out great when we got Taozen to finish the job. I wish we would have used them from the beginning. Workers very friendly and courteous. Cleaned up at the end of each day. Couldn't even tell they had been there. I highly recommend Taozen Flooring to anyone considering installing or refinishing hardwood floors and stairs.

Tao and his team did a great job matching the wood in the entryway and fixing patches (white oak, pine, fir). They also thoughtfully put down several stain color samples on the sanded floors so we could pick from more than just a photo or sample patch. Tao was very responsive throughout and made an effort to explain the process. I'd definitely recommend their services. Each room looks great and we would use TaoZen again for other projects without hesitation (and we intend to)!

Excellent, I called and scheduled for Taozen Services to come to my property for a free estimate. The pricing was competitive and work started within a few days. I was very satisfied with my floors and the condition of the unit after the work was completed. Very little dust from the sanding remained and the floors looked brand new! I would hire them again for any flooring work that I need.

Cheap carpet was replaced by beautiful hardwood floor and the hardwood looks much better than the existing hardwood in other rooms. Shoe molding was also installed that EXACTLY matches existing shoe molding in other rooms. Everything was cleaned and trash was taken away after the work. I was able to return the remaining one full box of hardwood pieces and it was refunded.

So so: 1. Flooring installation was okay 2. Finish work was poor to bad - did not want to do the "finish" work (baseboards) with the way I wanted - finally agreed to do 1st floor as I wanted - stairway finish does not match rest of flooring & baseboards installation was shoddy. Now that I am looking to sell my place, I am having to hire 3. As my project was in progress, they got another project & wanted to leave mine to go do that one, then come back to finish mine later. As I was taking time off from work to be at home during this project, I did not agree to that & they finished my project with a smaller crew.

They did a wonderful job. Excellent to work with. The owner was very friendly and shared lots of advice. Our floors were covered with carpet for 50 years. They did the entire house, kept the dust under control. It was very obvious that they knew what they were doing. Three years later they still look great.

If you need new wood flooring and value quality work, look no further. I am incredibly please by the craftsmanship Taozen possesses. Clean lines, no gaps, smooth. They matched my existing wood flooring perfectly. Pricing was competitive with other services. They cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I'm just thrilled. Thank you! My ONLY complaint is that I had to bug them about scheduling and getting back with an estimate. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as dealing with the trades.......

Very proactive is the best way to describe Tao. He was fully engaged for the entire process, offering very helpful advice at each step. If you've never done a floor replacement before and want someone to guide you through the process, Tao is the right person. When I mentioned to Tao that I also wanted to replace my old bi-fold closet doors, he said he had someone who would be able to do it and would contact this person to coordinate the process. Of the four flooring contractors I interviewed, Tao was the only one who was willing to help with the bi-fold doors. The others said I would have to find another contractor myself.

Excellent job. They were very responsive, came out and gave us a quote, were professional and friendly and helpful about some other flooring issues we had. They did high-quality work, cleaned up after themselves and finished on schedule. We would definitely use them again without hesitation.
