Tao stayed in touch via phone and email throughout the process, and did a good job of coordinating with an excellent painting company (Boston Painting Services) he recommended, since we were re-painting several of the rooms that he was re-flooring. The job was also complicated by the fact that were having an ill-designed brick hearth demolished/removed from the living room (also by the painting crew) before Tao could start, but everything went smoothly. Tao's crew was always on time, were courteous, and worked very quickly. All old carpeting and construction refuse was removed.

We have a tricky flooring job for a foyer and staircase in a home we just purchased. We had 4 contractors give us quotes and they were high, couldn't give us a real quote and we weren't confident in the solutions they offered us. The job is small for Tao and his team and out of our budget, and he referred us to another contractor. Even though we weren't going to move forward with the job, he spent a while at our house and gave us a lot of information that really helped us understand our options and what we could do to fix the problem without having to spend as much money. We really appreciated his help and were impressed with his knowledge.

Tao was responsive to our need and communicated frequently and fully throughout the process. He came and provided a detailed quote of what the job would cost as well as a date when the work would be done. Then, when a conflict developed with painters who would be working in the same space developed, he rearranged his schedule to accommodate - with his crew working over an entire weekend to do the job before the painters arrived. He himself visited the house on several occasions from the day of the quote giving us ideas and advice and returned after completion to go over the results with us and again had great ideas on how to improve the house in the future. His workers did a GREAT job...very neat throughout, removing and disposing of all the carpet, cleaning up after themselves thoroughly. All cuts are perfect with no cracks and the finishing work is flawless. As you can tell, my wife and I are both thrilled with the result! I would use Taozen Services for any flooring work and Tao himself has broader knowledge about making the interior of a house beautiful. He is a pleasure to work with!

I contacted Taozen on Saturday, June 7, after the person I had already lined up for doing the floors of my apartment didn't show up. I had a tight time-window for getting my floors done. I needed to move in on Saturday, June 14th. I called Taozen after a friend recommended Angie's list as a reliable source for finding people to do the work. So, I joined Angie's list, did my homework and picked Taozen and another company based on their reviews. Within an hour of placing the calls and leaving messages (this is Saturday, around 11 AM), Andy, from Taozen got back to me, and I explained I needed to get the floors done ASAP since I was moving in in a week's time. Andy agreed to come to the apartment to look at the floors at 2 pm same day. He was right on time. He agreed to do the floors on Monday, they would be done by Thursday and I could move in as planned. He and he's crew showed up on Monday at 9 AM as agreed. The job was extremely well done and on time, as promised. Later I found a spot where the varnish didn't dry too well and contacted Andy. He responded immediately and we set up a time/day for him to come and check. He got his crew back and got it fixed. I was so apprehensive after having someone lined up to drop the job at the last minute, and having to go into the 'unknown' with Angie's list and picking someone based on reviews of people I don't know... I must say that I find Angie's list and the people who placed their reviews so reliable! I'm so glad my friend recommended Angie's list. My experience with Andy/Taozen was above my expectations and I'm extremely pleased at the great job they did, not only fitting into my schedule with so short notice, but also, at the quality of service. Andy was always responsive, polite and professional, and his crew did an amazing job.

Taozen refinished the hardwood floors in my house two weeks ago. They exceeded my expectations in every way. Originally I had planned to refinish just the one room that got most daily traffic. Tao convinced me that it was worth it to refinish the whole house. I'm SO glad that he did. Tao came out and gave me a very reasonable quote and took care of everything after that. The floors came out beautiful! Tao and his crew were professional and performed a top-notched job. I recommend them highly.

Tao was prompt and professional, and was able to accommodate a very last minute big job. We initially wanted to only redo the second floor, but once the previous owners moved out we decided to go ahead and do the first floor as well. Tao was able to work with our move-in schedule and get the job done. He was very helpful in advising on the color and stain selection, and it turned out beautiful! We are very happy with the service and the finished product. His quote was inline with some other quotes we got.

Taozen Flooring refinished floors in 2 bedrooms, a hallway, and a large living room / dining room area. I asked them to sand carefully to remove knife cut-marks, pet stains, and to replace a board with many nail holes. They did an excellent job on my project and the floors look amazing! I'm Very Impressed with Tao and the quality and professionalism of his business. I would hire him again and recommend his company to my friends.

Always on time and called when he would be late. Knowledgeable and detailed. House was empty when the work was done so there was no furniture to move or work around and cleanup was easier for them. Took about a week to do all the rooms; impressive to come in and see the progress they made in a day. Cleanup was excellent and we had no issues. Tao came by after it was all done to answer questions/concerns, of which we had very little.

Tao came to the house within one day of being contacted to give estimate and answer all questions and concerns. Tao is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Job was scheduled within one week and completed in just 1 day due to the experienced work crew, who were meticulous about every aspect of the job, including cleanup. When they left, we couldn't tell anyone had been in the house except for the beautiful floors. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAOZEN FLOORING/TAOZEN SERVICES!

All went very smoothly. It was a pleasure to deal with Tao and his crew. Very professional, courteous and punctual. They finished earlier than expected.

I had the absolute best experience with Tao (the owner of the company) and his crew at Toazen Flooring. It was 100% a white glove process and my floors came out PERFECT!!! Tao was on time, professional, extremely knowledgeable, had the best customer service and was able to meet my expectations. From start to finsh it was a seemless process. I had a couple of companies bid on the work that needed to be performed and Tao was gave me the best overall deal. He was also able to start immediately. His crew was extremely friendly and very hard working. They did the following: *Resanded two levels of hardwood floors. *Filled in all of the gaps in the floors. *Hand sanded the Stairs. *Nailed in and filled the nail holes. *Did custom trim pieces on the steps. *Replaced missing hardwood floors pieces in one room. *3 Coats of Poly. *ect. The floors came out so perfect that I feel like I live in a brand new house. THANK YOU TAO!!!! I would 100% recommend Toazen Flooring to anyone that is looking to get there hardwood floors done. I'm a very satisfield customer!

Tao was very responsive and professional we contacted him for an estimate and he came to the house within a day. We was professional and curteous. We told him that we wanted the floors done ASAP. He and his crew were able to come the following week to start the job. We were so impressed with the reviews we read that we did not get any other estimates and I am glad that we did. Tao and his team did an amazing job, not only did the floors look brand new, but they left the house spotless after. I had expected there to be dust everyone, on the windows, floors etc and the place was perfectly clean literally not a trace of dust. Before the job was done, Tao had us walk through to make sure we were pleased with the results and show us all that had been done. We could not be happier with the final results and would recommend Taozen Flooring to anyone.

sanded all surfaces, filled cracks and holes, refinished and laid three coats -- the floors look freakin' amazing, having previously been grey in places with numerous regions where the finish had been worn completely away, they now gleam. The house is genuinely rejuvinated. Tao was incredibly prompt -- we called roughly 8 days before we wanted the work done, Tao was happy to obliged, he came by to do the estimate the next day and had his people on site the first day we had the house available. I would cheerfully use him again... only he did such a good job that I doubt I'll need him again for a few decades!

Tao and his crew did a great job. Tao arrived on-time for the estimate. He pulled up some of the old rug (to be removed) to determine what was underneath. He looked under the rug on the stairs and recommended replacing them. I'm thankful for the recommendation as we saw how cheap the old stairs looked after the carpet was fully removed. I was glad to find someone who could do the entire job. Remove old flooring, take away trash, and professional installation all in one. Other flooring companies wanted me to hire someone to remove anything that needed removing and then a carpenter for the stairs. Tao's guys had the expertise to do it all. They ordered the materials and delivered them to the house. The materials were put in a location out of the way as they needed to sit in the home for a week before installation. Tao's guys were quick, and neat. It took 2-3 days to remove the old rug/tile. They stacked the trash neatly outside out of the way, and removed the trash the day the were finished with demolition type work. The installation took 3-4 days. They finished a couple of days earlier than they said, so I was thrilled! The workers kept the job site in good condition every day. The floors look Great! Nice job, and nice people to work with.

Tao was very responsive to our first call and was the most informative of the 4 companies we contacted for estimates. He was thorough and answered all of our questions. He was able to start work the following week. We unexpectedly had another contractor working on windows at the same time, and Tao was excellent about working around and coordinating with our other contractor. We could not work out our schedules to be home for the delivery of the materials and Tao was able to be there to accept the delivery. He was great about staying in touch during the week that it took to complete the job. The work came out fantastic and made a very big difference in the house, we could not be happier. A very high quality job, at a reasonable price and schedule.

Tao and I spoke for 35 minutes on the phone before he even showed up. He basically gave me a free consultation and explained everything I needed to know about the project before moving ahead. When I explained that we wanted to sand and stain the floors, he said that his stainer was sick with longer term medical issues and that he may not be able to take the job because "if I can't ensure I'm going to do it right, I don't feel comfortable taking the job," which I really respected. He was going to be in our town anyway, so he said he'd swing by and take a look. When he did, he showed up on time, walked me through the entire project and took another 30 minutes to tell me what we SHOULD and what we should NOT pay for. He gave me a couple of other floor contractors who could help and who he thought did quality work. Even though we didn't end up going with Tao, I would feel very comfortable using Tao in the future.

I contacted this company for an estimate as they were highly recommended on Angie's list. I was not present when he arrived but my realtor said the provider walked in, said the didn't do work like this and then walked out. He didn't measure, ask questions or even get back to me. I contacted him and asked what the issue was and he told me that he didn't install subfloors, so he couldn't do the work. I scolded him as he should have asked me about the subfloor. I had another contractor there to estimate on tearing up parquet and installing a subfloor prior to Taozen Flooring needing to come in and install the actual hardwood. He apologized at that point but it then took him a week to send an estimate and I had moved on. Totally rude and very disappointing. I'd never recommend him or anyone who wants good customer service.

Tao is extremely knowledgeable about his work and was very responsive to my phone calls. He was able to accommodate my tight move-in schedule. His team did an excellent job sanding and polyurethaning 3x my floors. The final result was fantastic. What particularly impressed me was Taozen's use of wood filler to fill in spaces between boards and to hide nail holes. This is something I did not think to ask them to broadly do, but they did, and the floors look far better for it. There are well over 50, perhaps even 100, instances of Tao improving on my floors' flaws with wood filler. There was only a modest amount of dust left from the work and no staining of the baseboards. I would certainly use Taozen again.

Tao was fabulous to work with before the installation in deciding which wood to use, during the installation & afterwards. I'll go back to him when I'm ready to install more hardwood in my home. Him & his team were fabulous.

Procedure was flawless. Tao showed up same day to quote the job & gave estimate same day. The crew always showed up on time & were professional & neat. The job required working & finishing within a specific timeline & they did an excellent job. I recommend them highly.

New floor looks great, blended in well with adjacent room. Fixed stairs. Sanded rooms were removers carpet, refinished whole house, 3 coats of finish. Easy to work with, came on time. Got 3 estimates came in middle but most willing to get it done in my time frame so went with him, felt he was responsive for little changes we made along the way. Overall would recommend.
