Fantastic from beginning to end. Tao is incredibly responsive to voicemails and text messages, professional in his demeanor (provided a typed and printed quote within 15 minutes of surveying the work). He worked with a tight deadline between closing on the house and when we wanted to move in - the team started work on a Saturday, worked all weekend and we had the all-clear by Thursday night. I was thrilled with the finished result. The floors looked like new.

Tao was exceptional! Right from the quote process he proved to be a very insightful expert with very reasonable estimates. His inputs on material selection and layout were terrific. The execution was flawless with the work completed ahead of the expected time. The floors look like a dream!

Tao had come over to give estimate and gave an instant estimate after he measured all the rooms. I had invited 3 other contractors as well - just to be clear he was not the least nor the highest but based on our interaction with him we trusted that he will do a good job which he did. All work done on time as expected. His men do the work and he keeps visiting to make sure everything is going fine.

I recommend this company. They were priced well, polite, provided a quality installation, were on time and cleaned up well after the installation was completed. Zero complaints.

The technician who completed the work was very professional. He was very thorough and measured everything. They even cleaned all of the steam radiators and blew out all of the dust that was caught inside. Communication was good. He was always available by text or phone. The job was completed in three days. They completed the sanding and polyurethane in one day and then added a new coat on the other two days after waiting for it to dry. I only received one other estimate and it was justby phone. Taozen was a little higher than the other quote I received, but I thought they did an excellent job. Everything went well overall.

The whole experience was great! I spoke with Tao several times over the past two months and he came to my home three different times to work out details and give me an accurate quote. He was able to schedule my job three days earlier than planned and it was done completely in the time that he gave me. My husband and I had bought our flooring on our own and it turns out that there were a couple of snags during installation since it was a less expensive floor. However, Tao's crew were fantastic installers and did a great job on it. I was a bit hesitant but in the end, it looked beautiful and was exactly what we wanted--I would buy it again! The crew moved quickly and addressed any questions or changes that we had immediately. They were professional and didn't cut any corners. They even worked on all day on a Saturday to finish the project. Tao was on the job site several times checking in on the progress and addressing questions. I would absolutely recommend them for floor installation, we waited a long time to have hardwood floors installed and are very happy with the results.

They were pretty good. The most parts of the floor came out beautiful. They pretty much finished when they said they would. They replaced the couple parts of the floors and the part they replaced came out really nice. The only problem I had with them is that, there's one spot that should have been replaced but they thought they were able to work with it but they really didn't. They were not ale to do anything with it. Excellent.

Tao came to my condo with samples of flooring available, provided detailed estimate of work within a day. Once I informed him to proceed, he had his team out within a week. The team work efficiently and completed job in one day - rather than the estimated 2 days. Floor looks beautiful.

I am a repeat customer who has previously used Taozen Flooring to refinish wood floors and stairs in another house and was pleased with the work. For this house, I asked Tao to refinish the existing wood floors and stairs, add hardwood to the upstairs level, and install an engineered wood flooring product in my finished basement. Tao was available quickly, scheduled his crew and completed the work within two weeks. The floors look beautiful! Tao is knowledgeable and professional and provides a clean and efficient service. I am sure this work has improved the property's value by at least the amount spent, if not more. I highly recommend Tao and would use his service again if the need arose.

We were thinking of replacing our wooden floor, however Mr Tao convinced us to save money and go with more reasonable option. We were also hard pressed on moving date and he lined up resources to start work 2hrs after home closing to ensure our moving did not get disturbed. Tao was extremely easy to work with. He is very responsive, personable, easy to talk with, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Tao's crew showed up on time and finished on time and were very courteous.I told Tao I was concerned about all of the dust that goes everywhere from the sanding but he assured me that with the dustless process, the dust is at a minimal . He was correct!!! Plus the crew cleaned up as they went along. All old carpeting was removed and disposed. The floors came out beautifully. Taozen Flooring did an amazing job.

This was the second time we'd used Taozen to install hardwood. The two person crew was extremely proficient, and the job--which included removing and disposing of wall-to-wall carpeting and removing and reaffixing baseboard trim--took only two days. They were accommodating about delivery of the hardwood, too; we had it delivered a month before installation to avoid any possible price increases from the supplier. And the floors (red oak) look fantastic. A minor criticism: We did have to call the next day to have them replace a dented plank, which also was creating a squeak. While the problem was solved quickly and completely, I didn't appreciate how hard it was to convince Tao that the squeak resulted from the installation.

Very professional, on time, easy to work with

Overall I had best experience working with Tao and his team. Pros: - Responsiveness : I submitted a request for quote on friday evening. Tao contacted me and scheduled an appointment on saturday which was very convenient for me . - Punctuality : Tao arrived in time all prepared with many samples. We discussed all the details of the project including the schedule , materials and all other things. I received the estimate after a couple days. I was confused about the total sqft of my condo, so Tao offered to meet again and remeasure. The the initial sqfts were correct, so it was my bad to call for the second appointment. - Price : I got five quotes from other A-rated companies , and Taozen price was the best ! Plus , and the end I got a discount !!! - Professionalism : All work took 4-5 days. I checked the conto a few times during the installation and guys were super friendly and professional. - Quality: the new floor looks AMAZING! Very solid work. Plus super clean (they dusted the condo a few times at least) Cons: none! If I move and need a new floor I would call Taozen 100%!

The project was a great success. Tao was very responsive. They started on time and completed the project early. We are very happy with the end result. I would highly recommend Taozen services.

Taozen was a delight from start to finish. Tao is responsive, personable, down to earth, professional, and just really pleasant to deal with. What I really appreciated was his down to earth attitude about the floors, which had water damage in spots in the kitchen and what looked like stains from past pets in the bedrooms, so that the floors were darkened in areas. I had talked to other flooring companies about replacing the damaged areas and was mulling proposals that were in the range of $5K. Tao looked at the floors, asked how old the house is (it's around 140 years old), and said That's not damage. The house is old. It's got character! With that simple attitude adjustment, I saved myself $3K! They squeezed the job in at a time when **all* landlords in Boston are looking to rehab in time for September move-in dates, he and his crew were accommodating, polite, and cheerful, and the price was completely reasonable compared to others. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Taozen, and I'd use the company again in a heartbeat.

This was an A+ project as far as we are concerned. Tao was very responsive when initially contacted and assisted us in determining the best approach to changing the flooring on our main floor. The existing flooring presented a lot of challenges as there were three different materials (carpet, linoleum and tile) on primarily concrete subfloors of different heights. The end result was excellent with a beautiful solid hardwood floor all perfectly level. This work was part of a larger remodelling and was scheduled for a specific day, 2 months in advance. Nonetheless, Tao appeared on site on the scheduled day and his crew completed the installation in 4 days as planned. Tao's crew was very professional, competent and very neat. We were anticipating a very messy situation during removal of the tile and linoleum but at the end of the first day when this work was complete, things were left in very good condition. Tao or his crew let us know what to expect to be accomplished each day amd remained on the site until that was achieved. As a result we felt very confortable with the process as well as the result. We would definitely use Taozen for any future flooring project and would highly recommend them.

We have already recommended Tao to friends and will continue to do so. Tao and his team did a superb job of refinishing the hardwood on a full floor and installation/sanding/finishing of hardwood on a second floor of our house. As we worked to get estimates, Tao was the most thorough in his assessment and quote. He was able to uncover that there was a layer of particle board between the existing wall-to-wall carpet and the sub-floor that needed to be removed prior to installation of the new hardwood (something that neither of the other two contractors identified in their estimate and would have likely cost me more money in the end). Tao's team worked under very tight time windows to complete their work given our inflexible move-in date. The team worked long hours, but did not rush their work. The work completed was meticulous and thorough. Baseboards were removed to ensure that the new hardwoods were set properly, alignment/staggering of boards was consistent, and cuts around rounded or non-linear edges was accurate. Through the process, we had good correspondence with Tao to understand progress and ensure that we were comfortable with the decisions that had to be made. As we were unsure of stain color and finish, Tao was able to apply sample stain to ensure that we could see how the color would actually look in our environment. As a note, we used Bona water-based stain and water-based, high traffic satin finish. The floors look fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Given the amount of square footage of new installation and the work that was completed, we are comfortable that this was a good value. You get what you pay for with Tao. We have received many complements from friends/visitors on our floors since Tao completed his work. We were completely satisfied with every step of the process and would use Tao again if the opportunity was there.

I replaced my 2nd floor carpet with hardwood floor, then refinished my 1st floor hardwood floor. Tao is quick to respond. The guys did a good job. It is satisfactory.

Tao was easy to reach and schedule for a walk through. Responsive to both emails and phone calls, the estimator arrived on time and quickly went to work measuring rooms and reviewing the current condition of the floors. After finishing the walk through, he returned to his truck to complete the estimate which he could not print on-site due to an equipment issue with his printer. He emailed me the estimate two days later with a cost of $2,750 which included sanding and 3 coats of oil based poly. Overall not a bad experience, but I received three quotes from other reputable companies, each of which were in the $1,500 - $1,800 range. Based on the reviews of Taozen here on Angie's List, I'm sure they're very good at what they do, but I cannot justify spending an extra $1,000 when equally reputable companies are willing to do the same work for significantly less.
