Sunlight Solar Energy

Sunlight Solar was phenomenal to work with. From start to finish. From the informative and no pressure sales process to system selection, (what panels would produce well and look nicest on our roof), TCO analysis and our many many many tax and solar credit questions. Project management was seamless from scheduling, planning, installation, permitting and connection phases. For the installation, the lead electrician and his team handled everything perfectly - meetings with the town inspectors, follow-up visits for meter connections, answering my many many questions, you name it. Sunlight made it easy, their "turnkey" process is truly that - they did all the heavy lifting and were a pleasure to work with throughout. Our panels look great and perform even better. I would highly recommend Sunlight Solar Energy.

They had professional, nice and knowledgeable people on staff and handled all the required steps to bring the system online. I wanted to maximize solar production and found panels of a manufacturer they use which they did not have in their program yet because they were to new. When they became available, Sunlight Solar quickly swapped them on my quote and we were ready to install the system. Installation went very well and they did a great job installing the racking, the panels, the electrical work and bringing the system online. I recommended them to a fried who is very happy with them as well. I can highly recommend them.

We had a 14 panel photovoltaic system installed on our roof in late autumn 2014. Sunlight is a small company with the right kind of experience which takes very good care of its customers and prides itself on communication about scheduling and operation; because the company is small each of its members become personally known to the client. (Sounds like a promotional blurb but it is correct; this personal flavor of the company can be seen on its website.) The installation process includes many steps and takes several months; without rushing, Sunlight helped us proceed successfully through each stage. All the parts selected for the design were of solid quality; details like the interior roof reinforcement ("sistering" of rafters) were nicely done. Partly because we were able to pay cash, the price for the overall job was most reasonable. In short we were uncomplainingly satisfied with the project, concluding that Sunlight accomplished in a completely straightforward manner exactly what it is supposed to do. High or highest recommendation.

By the time I signed a contract with Sunlight Solar, I had already discussed similar solar projects with five other companies, and I had familiarized myself with the costs and issues associated with a solar photovoltaic installation. The original installation date was pushed back several times, and although communication was not always great, the panels were installed in a timely manner. In the following weeks, the rest of the system was completed. I believe that Sunlight Solar was responsible for some delays, but there were also issues regarding the necessary approvals and permits from my municipal light company. Further delays which prevented turning on the system came about when the town electrical inspector did not approve some labeling on the main panel and some outdoor components. After some back and forth calls to both the installer and a equipment manufacturer, the system was finally ready to go. An electrician from the Sunlight Solar made a few more visits to facilitate communication between the system and the home wifi. The system has worked very well since this time.
