SIGNATURE KITCHEN & BATH DESIGN STUDIO INC

I needed a part for cabinets that I bought from them, but no luck since they have gone out of business.

Since we were happy with a kitchen renovation done by Signature Kitchens and Bath, we asked for a proposal on renovating two of our bathrooms. Suzanne, the owner, came out and took measurements and made some suggestions. She promised a proposal by the end of the following week. When we had not heard from her by Friday, I called. The receptionist said she was on another line, but would return my call as soon as she got off. She never did, however. More time passed and I called again. Suzanne said there was some problem with emailing the proposal as an attachment, but, after verifying my email address, she would send it again once she got in the office the next day. We never received the proposal, however, either by email or regular email. We finally gave up and hired another highly-rated Angie's List company. I might still consider Signature in the future if I could find out why they "dropped the ball" this time.

I'm an interior designer and purchased cabinets for a client's rental condo. The sales/designer I worked with in the planning & purchasing was great but unfortunately left the company after I placed the order at the beg. of Aug. I had called a week later and was given a ship date which was reasonable due to the est. lead time they had quoted me. When the ship date got close, a week or two before, I had called to see if it was still on track and I was told, finally after a week of angst and no phone calls returned, that my order was placed on hold because they tried to call me and I did not call back. They either called the wrong number or lied. They flat out did not process my order. They re-placed the order, and gave me a new 4 week lead time. I called the week it was supp to ship and again I tried calling 3 or 4 x w/out a return call. Finally, 3 days after my cabs were supposed to have arrived Sig Kit called me and said it was back ordered. They offered me a full refund. I took it.

Suzanne and Steve Brady, owners of Signature Kitchen, own a construction company too, so they were able to handle the entire project "soup-to-nuts." (We did hire our own painter.) The project took six months, evenly divided between design/ordering and construction. All the tradesmen were top-notch: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, tilers, and countertop people. They were true artisans, professional, and personal. They offered a number of on-site suggestions for minor design changes which greatly enhanced the final result. The only major glitch during the project. The wrong size sink cabinet was ordered; the project was delayed about a month until a new one arrived. Overall we are thrilled with our new kitchen. A post-script: Several months after the completion of the project, a couple of pieces of cabinet hardware needed replacing. We weren't able to get Signature Kitchen's to take care of it. Uncharacteristically, Suzanne did not return a number of phone messages and emails. (While the cabinet manufacturer was in the process of finding another dealer to take care of the problem, two carpenters from Signature finally showed up to fix the cabinets.)

THE MAJORITY OF THE ORDER TOOK CLOSE TO 4 MONTHS TO FILL AND TO THIS DATE 7/2005 (ALMOST A YEAR LATER) TWO OF THE DOOR FACINGS ARE STILL INCORRECT. MATT WHO HANDLED THE ORDER WAS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND UNRESPONSIVE AND EVENTUALLY LEFT THE COMPANY. WE BOUGHT OUR KITCHEN CABINETS FROM ''LUXOR'' VIA SIGNATURE AND HAD NO PROBLEMS, BUT 3.5 YEARS LATER WE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
