 + -1 moreThe technician was always professional- we talked for a couple minutes to determine where I wanted the boxes to go and as I have used this company a few times, I knew and he knew where they had probably been placed last year. So he went everywhere - from attic, to under stairwells in deep closets, to furnace room to garage and even outdoors to place one in our shed where we keep supplies for working outside as well as the lawnmower, bikes, etc. I think that he was very thorough and I would use them again.
Description of Work: Whole house replacement of mice prevention boxes - including garage and shed as well.

 + -1 moreThe service person actually called me earlier than the appointed time to see if I was available, which I was. When he arrived, I explained to him that I have had mice problems. He inspected the downstairs bathroo, kitchen, back porch, hallway to the door and the cellar. He said my house was cluttered and that is why I have the problem. He got traps out of his truck and proceeded to place them in the rooms mentioned previously. He explained that this was a 3 month coverage period and that if I wanted a one year package it would be $500. He wrote up an invoice with comments: House is cluttered; kitchen needs to be better sanitized and the dog food should be stored properly. The dog food is actually stored properly but we had the bowls out for our dogs to eat in the morning. I thanked him for his time and he left my home. We still have mice running around and I'm hoping that the baits work.
Description of Work: Service person inspected the kitchen, bathroom, porch and cellar for signs of mice. He then got some traps and placed them in the mentioned areas. This was for a 3 month time period. He explained how much it was for a full year. Then he left.

Description of Work: Bees had nested inside my walls and getting into the house. Service rep came, found their entrance and treated the area thoroughly spraying into the opening.

 + -1 moreWhen the technician came, he did not fulfill all elements of the Big Deal. All of the reccomendations he gave was for more service with the company. He did not spend as much time inspecting the source of the issue, which was my biggest concern. The reason I purchased the deal was to find the source and he did not fulfill that. All he did was put baits throughout the house and advised that they need to be refilled every (3) months. In turn, he wanted a service contract. He did not spend much time going over my questions.

 + -1 moreWe hired NW Pest Control to get rid of some of the ant colonies surrounding our house and to perform general preventive pest control around the entire basement area. We were very satisfied with their service. Having a small toddler in the house, we were especially happy about their organic pesticide option that we ended up using on the interior side of the basement. It actually smelled quite pleasant of eucalyptus, and seems to have worked. On the exterior, we followed their advice to get the traditional treatment. It definitely worked as its been 6 months since the service date and we haven't had any more ant problems at all.

 + -1 moreSee above. It was smooth sailing, start to finish. It may be too soon to rave about the long term effect, as it has only been a little over 3 weeks since the exterminator was here. As of this point, I would certainly hire them again (and hope I never have to!).
Description of Work: I had a mouse problem that I thought was confined to one floor and spent a frustrating several months trying to catch it/them with old fashioned mouse traps, with which I had luck 30+ years ago in a different home. When Angie's List special came up, I decided to try it, so I have no idea how the pricing compares to other companies. The company was very responsive, easily made a convenient appointment for me ( and could have come earlier if I had been able to do so). The exterminator showed up on time, very respectful, polite, and explained what and why he was d*** what he dicd. It turned out there was evidence of mice on both the upper floor of the house and the basement, where I hadn't even thought to look. I was told that it would take about 3 weeks before I should expect to not see any evidence of mice. It has now been just over 3 weeks and so far, so good. I have nothing bad to say about NW Pest Control at all. It was as pleasurable an experience as dealing with vermin can be, I'd say.

He recommended that we add some exterior bait stations as well (for extra $) and we agreed as our mice problem was quite bad (before his visit we had many mouse droppings all around our house and were catching many mice in snap traps on a regular, almost daily basis). The results were good. within a week of his visit, all mouse activity seems to have ceased. no more droppings and no more cathes of mice in our snap traps - seems like the bait stations have worked well.

After inspection , the inspector suggested that I purchase a 1 year plan which would probably be more suitable for my needs since there were multiple access for the mice to get into my house. Traps were set for both inside and outside I purchased the 1 year plan which eliminate my need to call them every three months for inspection and treatment. Included in the 1 year plan is quarterly inspection and an additional call for not only mice but other rodents as well.
Description of Work: Mice inspection was performed throughout the house including the basement.

Description of Work: I saw what looked like a cockroach in my house and was worried.The inpsector came in and took a look, asked some questions and then showed us some picture. He said it was likely a wood roach which lives outside and doesn't come inside except by accident. He didn't charge me or recommend that I do anything unless I saw more. He was right. I've seen them outside once or twice after and nothing in the house again. I was very appreciative that he came out quickly and wasn't out to get money, but to really help us with the best solution. It happened that the best solution was that we didn't have to do anything. I appreciate his honesty.

 + -1 moreI paid $1125.00 with an Angies list coupon. Kevin did the work. He was very knowledgeable and showed me all the areas where there was termite damage. I was going to treat with liquid, but I have a patio, two porches, and a lot of cement that would have been hard to treat so I went with the sentricon system. They installed the stations and also trenched and treated with liquid an area with the most damage.They did the work promptly and efficiently and has returned to monitor the termite activity.

The representative was pleasant and professional, conducted his business and gave us very thorough and understandable reports on our circumstances.
Description of Work: The contractor performed the initial survey and treatment, and we arranged for an additional contract for the year based on his recommendations. The cost was the cost of the original coupon plus the contract.
