I pay $89 for each visit. They come when I'm not here and just do the external so it is convenient.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good.There were no additional charges. The quality of what they did was effective and it worked. They explained what they did. It wasn't that expensive and I've continued to have them come back. They don't charge that much.

We had a carpenter ant problem in one bathroom from the time we moved into our house. NW Pest came many, many times and just did the same outside spray/ inside bait procedure without actually trying to find and solve the problem. After some web research I decided that maybe I needed a spray into the walls; the NW Pest person said he didn't know how to do that. I called another company and the person spent about 45 minutes probing the area and trying to figure out where the ants were. The oher company then returned and did a single application, in the wall so no chemical exposure to my family, and problem solved. NW Pest just kept spraying chemicals all over my house to no effect--worse than if they had done nothing at all. There was also a very bad miscommunication: in desperation afer multiple years of failed treatments, I requested an exterior application of Termidor, which is a much more serious chemical than the regular quarterly spray. My understanding was that this was a 1-time application only to try to solve the problem once and for all; in fact I think you can only spray Termidor for ants twice a year by law in Mass. Well, when the next quarterly visit time came in Sept, they did not alert me they were coming, came when I was at work, and sprayed Termidor again without asking me and left a card telling me what they did. I spent the whole summer running around after my kids keeping them well away from the exterior of the house; now I will have to do the same all fall/winter as well.

He came to review the problem for free. Gave me plenty of time to tell him everything. He offered two options: a one time treatment, with a 3 month warranty (would re-treat within that period). Or a treatment of both kitchen and outside perimeter of house, for a one year warranty (at about twice the cost). He was very friendly and was happy to answer all my questions. However, as in most cases, I had to be prepared to ask lots of questions to figure out how I should empty my kitchen in order for him to do the best handling he could, and, also, how to handle the kitchen after he had treated. If I had not asked questions, I might have been unsure how to manage this. As it was, it worked out fine. I took the cheaper option (the less spray the better), and these terrible pests were eliminated. (I had them not only in the kitchen, where they originated, but also in other rooms as well.) I also learned, now, to keep all grains, nuts, seeds in sealed plastic containers to avoid repeat of this.

David Martin, pest control specialist, screened two access holes to the attic, set a one-way cage from the third most active access hole and placed two traps on the roof to remove squirrels from the house. Four squirrels were captured over four days and the access portal was screened. Problem solved. If the critters do return, we will take advantage of the one year warranty.

I thought he did a very thorough job, sealing every area that could be found. He used a combination of steel wool and sealant. He answered all of my questions, was very professional. The quality of the sealing job was excellent, no stray sealant anywhere and any leftover materials were removed, a nice clean job.

So far, so good. They've always kept their appointments, they are very nice, friendly, and helpful when explaining what's going on. They also have good customer service.

In the spring I will know if the termite system is working. The ant treatment was successful.

While doing fall cleanup, I found an infestation of insects that I suspected were termites near my garage. I called NW Pest and they scheduled an inspection appointment for a few days later. They gave me a 4 hour window for the appointment and they showed up within the time frame. He was very professional and helpful. Fortunately the insects were not termites! But he inspected all around the garage, the house foundation, and the basement just to confirm that there were no issues anywhere else. I really appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell me on any treatments that I didn't need, he answered all my questions, and gave me some helpful information for preventing problems. I would definitely use this company again.

Overall the service and price was great. The sales rep and technician were nice and helpful. There were a couple scheduling issues, but nothing too disruptive.

A quick visit and re-applying pesticide to the outside of the house. Came promptly, was professional. Warned us to keep the dog inside for a few hours. I'm not sure if he thoroughly checked all the locations in the house where we'd seen signs of infestation in the past. Generally we are happy with the service.

Dave Martin, a licensed trapper, came out to give me a free estimate on getting rid of an animal in the walls of our house. Not only was he timely and thorough, he gave me advice on how I might be able to solve this problem myself. I completely appreciate his honest and integrity and will be referring his company to the mothers group (over 300 members) in my area. If I cannot solve this problem with the advice that he gave me, I will be calling NW Pest Control for certain.

I was having severe centipede issues in my condo and called NW Pest to help. They made an appointment the next day, spent over an hour at my place not just explaining the services they provide but also helping to identify the source of the issue. (He even climbed out on the roof in the pouring rain!) Everything was clearly explained, the fee was fair and the service was great - I highly recommend this company...

He came for an estimate a few hours after I called. Came promptly for service. Friendly, professional and knowledgable. He will return 3 more times for maintenance. Plan covers all kinds of pests for one year.

I purchased a Big Deal for this vendor last year and like the service technician so much (promptness, thoroughness and professionalism) that I signed up for their annual service. They automatically send out appointment reminders 4x a year, and their customer service is very helpful if you want to reschedule or narrow the appointment time. The one time the technician knew he was going to be later that planned, he called the day before to apologize for having to push back the time by 1 hour and to confirm that the new appointment time would work for me.

They sent out someone to help with my problem right away once I complained to them over the phone. I appreciate their willingness to help and I was too hasty in writing the review I submitted earlier.

They did a great job. They were reasonably priced, they were responsive and came right out. They also guaranteed their services. I would recommend them to others.

He was knowledable, gave good information but most we had already tried. Did not solve the issue though

I was plagued with mice and really despaired I would ever get rid of them no matter how much I did on my own. I can't say enough good things about NW Pest Control. They are excellent and I no longer worry about mice in my house. I recommend them highly!

I was waiting to review these folks until a suitable time had passed. I live on the third floor of an old 3 family house. We have had problems with squirrels for a long time-this must be an ancestral home!-When young squirrels started looking in my windows I felt that was enough, and called NW Pest Control. The woman on the phone was courteous and helpful with scheduling a time for an assessment, and the employee (David) arrived on time (7 AM) and had already scoped everything out by the time I came downstairs. He completed the job quietly and efficently, returned early every AM to remove traps, and even responded to a neighbor's concern that there were babies in one corner by checking for them.After a period of 1 month,more squirrels had chewed a new hole. I called, half expecting to pay more, but David came out, screened the hole, set a new trap, and there was no charge. I'm hoping this will take care of our problem, but I wouldn't hesitate to call them in the future. Good job!

Our condo building has a contract with them, so they have treated our unit a few times. They are completely ineffective. The mice and insects come back after 2-3 weeks!

David quickly determined how the squirrel had gained access to the soffets and set a trap on the porch roof near the entry point. He trapped the squirrel within a day, and left the trap for a few more days but no additional animals were trapped. He put a metal grate over the holes and entry points to make sure no more animals got in. The price seemed a little excessive, but I think that's the way it goes when animals are involved. I didn't ask what he did to dispose of the squirrel, but I imagine he drove it far away and released it in the woods (at least that's what I tell the kids).

The man was really nice and polite. The experience was excellent.
