We decided to do an annual contract with them. We've been very satisfied.

They alerted me that they were coming and showed up when they said they would. Performed task as needed.

Online, I requested that someone contact me to schedule an appointment to address my carpenter ant problem. However, no one responded to my online request. Their unresponsiveness to my online request should have been a tip off for me about their service performance. However was undaunted, I tried calling the company. I booked an appointment for between 8am and noon. Someone was suppose to call be one half hour before their arrival, I waited at home until noon with no call and no one showing up. I called the company to find out when someone would be coming. They said I was not even scheduled. I hung up and wrote this review. I would not use this company again. NW Pest control was very responsive and came quickly to view the situation. They were successful in removing the squirrel without harming the animal. They were totally professional and very responsive.

The technician described the contract (valid until June 2014 from the prior home owner). He then walked around the property, pulling up each termite trap, and entering that information into a NW Pest Control database. He explained how the system works. I was very comfortable with the service and his explanation, in addition to the reports of other users, and signed a one year contract extension.

It went very well. They were on time and very professional. The technician did a careful inspection. I signed up for the annual contract since I have had a problem with mice and carpenter ants in the past.

Update: I received a voice mail from NW Pest Control stating that they read this review on Angie's List and that the representative coming out to check the bait stations and inspect the house for termites would explain the contract to me since I clearly didn't understand it. NW Pest Control's representative called me the morning of the inspection and asked if he could reschedule it. There was a miscommunication and he had to be at his son's baseball game that afternoon. Would it be possible to reschedule the inspection from that morning to 5pm that evening? I told him I'd rather schedule it for another day. He responded that he didn't understand what the big deal was and that I didn't have to be home for him to check the bait stations but he would drop by that morning, as originally scheduled. A few hours later he called back and said there was an emergency and that he wouldn't be able to make it until around 5pm that night. Later that evening I found a receipt from NW Pest Control in my mailbox. He checked the bait stations and re-installed a bait station. Since then it's become apparent that he killed a rose bush when he re-installed the bait station. For the record, the roses were there after the bait stations had been installed. I didn't remove any of the bait stations and I don't make a habit of digging around poison. The worse part about this is that I still don't know whether the house has termites. Cracks recently appeared in the sheet rock suggesting that the house is leaning toward the termite-damaged area of the house. But if I want to know whether termites are the cause I'll have to hire another company to find out. Original review: Last year I paid to have a Sentricon termite system installed. The idea was that this would provide protection against termite as NW pest would monitor the bait stations. The problem is that NW never came back. I'm not sure how effective the stations actually could be. Most of the them keep popping up. To keep them in the ground I've placed rocks on them, with the notable exception of one station which isn't installed. It's just lying on the ground (I have no idea why or how it got there). I called NW yesterday to ask why they never came out to check the stations. Come to find out they don't monitor the stations at all. It's actually a once a year "check up" and they don't do until you pay for the contract renewal and call for a termite inspection. All in all I'm not satisfied. One way or another I have to pay someone for a $275 termite inspection, not the ongoing termite monitoring and protection that the Sentricon system allegedly provides. What a waste.

I am continuing to use 3-4 times each year. They’re pretty good about scheduling and with email reminders and if you need to change an appointment they’re good about that and they’re punctual with the appointments. The technicians, for the most part are fine. I would prefer that they send the same tech out each time.

They technician was very nice and explained the device and showed where the mice might have been entering the house. It turned out good and I was satisfied. The price of the service was reasonable.

Scheduling was fine. He was professional and I had no issues.

It was fine. One technician came out. There were no issues. They put down mice traps everywhere. There was no follow up.

There weren't any issues with the scheduling, the technicians arrived on time, and they did an adequate job as well overall.

It was hard to give them a review too quickly because you don't know how good pest control is until you wait for awhile but they did a good job. They were professional and knowledgeable.

Disappointed with the service I received today. I have NW Pest Control on another property and pay a reasonable rate for them to put poison in my traps each month. However, I called them yesterday and they refused to give me a price over the phone to put down a few traps in a building downtown. Upon arriving at the property they tried quoting me $275 to put down 4 traps. They eventually came down in price, but the whole experience wasted a ton of my time did not make me feel like a valued customer. Additionally, they would not even let me send a check from the client's account and forced me to put the balance on my personal credit card.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. I have recommended them to other people.

The man who came to install the system seemed to do an acceptable job; he came when expected and was professional. I had a problem with the office staff prior to the installation, however. We had initially planned to buy a different house in the same town, and I had called NW Pest Control to give us a quote for the Sentricon system installation. The man I spoke to on the phone said that for residential real estate transactions they just always quote a flat fee of $800 for installation without needing to see the property first. He emailed me this quote. Then that purchase fell through, and we wound up choosing to buy a different house. When I called NW Pest Control to set up the installation for the new house, the woman on the phone told me that it would cost over $1000. When I told her that I had a quote from NW Pest Control for a $800 Sentricon system installation, she initially told me they would not honor that, and even said that I had spoken to someone from the Marketing Department, and that didn't count. She was kind of rude with me. When I told her I was not happy that they would not honor the quote they had sent me, and forwarded to her the email that her Marketing Department guy had sent me the month prior, she gave me a hard time and said she would check with the owner to see if he would make an exception. Eventually she did tell me they would make an exception. But frankly, if I receive a quote from a company, I definitely do not expect to have to convince them to honor it. And if their Marketing and Sales departments aren't talking, I think that's a problem they need to address.

Very happy. They were able to come to the house within a few days of my calling, they were courteous and professional and they took care of the problem.

But their followup has been less competent.

We had mice. I hired them and used their Angie's List coupon. They put out poison black boxes for mice infestation... Got rid of the mice. Easy, done!

Dave did an excellent job. He was professional and very responsive to everything I asked. I signed up for the yearly service contract today as well. He is coming back Wednesday to set the Rat traps in the basement and around the outside of the property and again on the 12th to work on getting rid of the Squirrels. They will get rid of the termites in the Spring. I would highly recommend them. The service was excellent.

We have had no pest problems since then - either NW Pest is great or all the pests went away. Reminder cards are sent as to next service date. Office staff and gentlemen who have come to the house have all been professional and courteous.

It was very good. They went through the entire house and figured out where the trouble areas were. They helped us out with that. They were accommodating and very helpful. We would use them again, if needed.

I've had some problems with NW Pest Control Inc. We started out with house centipedes, and there were no less centipedes when they came out. They have not really addressed the problem properly. We're not thrilled with them. They came out when they said they were going to come. So, they're reliable, as far as when they need to come. But the problem has not been, in any way, fixed. The last time they came out, they said they could spray again, but they couldn't spray on the outside because it was too cold. At that point, I was like, "There's really no point. I'd rather not have you come spray inside the house. It hasn't really made any difference. And if you can't do the outside, I'd just rather not bother." So, that was the last I spoke with them. They had initially come out to check for mice and that service was fine. We ended up staying with them to get rid of the centipedes, and that's where we've had trouble.

They were terrific and explained what they were going to do. They explained the theory and rational. They were amazing, professional, capable, and I would highly recommend them. I thought the deal was a good bargain. They got the treatment done within an hour. The scheduling was very good.

I think they were reliable; they came, they did good work and they fixed the pest problem.
