Mike called me back and was wonderful on the phone. He spent time with me answering my newbie questions and giving his advice. I would've used him if he'd been available sooner (he was available the next day, but it was an emergency and I went with the person who could come that morning). He expresses himself well, and I was impressed by how much time he spent talking with me about my questions and concerns.

The job is going very well. I also decided to remodel the bathroom at the same time. Mike provided some great recommendations and guidance.

Mike responded to my email within 15 minutes, and scheduled a visit for a convenient time on Friday morning (Christmas Eve!) He arrived promptly and was courteous and professional as he looked at the job. He said he expected to email us a quote by the end of the holiday weekend. A quite reasonable estimate arrived on Monday afternoon. Although my experience with Mike was completely satisfactory, I hired a different plumber who is geographically closer, and whose estimate was slightly lower and slightly more detailed.

Although Mike was initially responsive he seemed to be on vacation each of the two times I have tried him. That meant he was useless for a quick fix (leaky faucet with no shutoff valves) which I needed the first time and his price was outrageous for the second phase (replace faucet and drain with new one I provided) especially since his address shows him literally around the corner from the site of the installation. I will not use or recommend him.

Hire this guy if you want someone reliable and professional at a good price. Mike responded quickly to my request for an estimate, and he communicated so clearly on what was needed, the potential risks, and best of all -- how to keep the job as low cost as possible.

Mike did a terrific job and was very professional. He came and saw the old toilet ring was done and I had prepared by buying a new, better toilet. He installed that day and was very nice to my wife and kids. The new toilet works great!!

Mike did a good job - it was on the pricey side compared to what I expected going in but he was responsive and did the job quickly.

Mike moved a kitchen gas stove line for me, added a gas shutoff valve, and hooked up a gas stove. Basement access was available below the kitchen for the work. Mike was very responsive to my phone calls, and was punctual on the day he gave me a quote and the day the work was done. The work took about 3 hours and went exactly as I would have expected.

Perfectly well. I contacted mike Richard as I was ordering my new dryer. He gave me very useful advice then did everything he could to come disconnect the old dryer so he could be hauled away when the new one is delivered. The new one arrived on a Friday and Mike was not available for the installation, but he went above and beyond by coming to install the machine on Saturday morning. This was done quickly and very smoothly.

The price of $370 was for an emergency that stopped two toilets from running and replacement of a shut-off valve.

Mike emailed me back. I described the problem through email (& without coming to look @ the job) told me "that the minimum would be $7500 for the job" which wouldn't include demolition (but he offered a collegue who could perform these but at a cost outside his bid. He asked me for my lowest bids which I told him was almost one half of what Mike proposed (I got two other bids were from a highly rated AL plumbers who actually came out to look at the job their prices included demo). Mike told me he couldn't touch that price & wished me luck. Again, Mike never even came out to look at the job in person. I got the sense of tossing out a high number & if I said yes, than it was worth the 10 minute drive to look @ the job. I guess the crux of the problem is that Mike never came out to look @ the job, so there was misscommunication regarding scope - as he inferred there were multiple kitchens on the line (which I told him that there were not). I gave him the chance to rebid competitively & he never responded back - perhaps he was too busy or it didn't offer double the market margin that he was looking for. ALWAYS get multiple bids on big jobs like these if you can. Even highly rated contractors on AL (like Mike) prices need to be checked on (I could have easily paid over double for this job working w/Mike). Perhaps I made a mistake by admitting that this was a multi unit building (contractor prices generally increase as there is an assumption there's a lot of money lying around) & maybe the thought was that this wouldn't go out to bid to multiple contractors.

He does plumbing for me in 3 different homes that I own. He is wonderful. He calls after the initial appointment is set up to let me know he will be at my home in 15 minutes. His follow up is very good as well.

It went well and when I had questions afterward, he emailed me with responses.

Left a message for Mike, and he called me back the next day. Although not an emergency, he agreed to do the work two days later. My wife and I bought the toilet and faucet at Home Depot. Mike arrived on time - actually 5 minutes early (almost unheard of in my experience with contractors). I found Mike to be personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He worked steadily and cleaned up thoroughly (impossible to tell he was even there). Everything looked good and worked perfectly. Even with a $20 Angie's List discount and an additional $40 discount, I found his fee ($460) to be on the expensive side, considering the fact that we supplied the toilet and faucet. He charges $260 to install each fixture. Although I can understand that fee for a toilet, it seems excessive for a $30 laundry room sink faucet. Price aside, I would definitely use Mike again.

Mike is prompt and professional. We were generally satisfied with the work and service, but not happy with the price. However, we didn't get competing estimates so it's hard to tell if the pricing was fair. We did have him quote on another job -- replacing the shower walls -- where we did get other estimates, and he seemed to be quite high in relation to these.

It went very well. He was punctual, provided a clear estimate, walked me through the choices, and then did the work for the price.

Mike was responsive, understanding, punctual, and professional at every step of the way. Workmanship was great. I wouldn't have changed a thing about the process. Am hiring him again for a leak repair. I highly recommend him.

Good service overall but overpriced. I suggest getting a detailed estimate before agreeing to proceed with repairs.

During the recent rains, I had a contractor install an additional sump pump in my bulkhead. Unbeknownst to me, it was installed improperly and during this weeks' storm stopped functioning. Water started coming into my basement (finished) at 5 pm. I called the contractor and got no response so I called Mike. I have worked with him before and have never had a bad experience. As I was shop-vaccing the basement Mike called back and was there in the next 45 minutes. He brought a brand new sump pump and installed it properly, pointing out where the original contractor went wrong. Disaster avoided!!! Basement saved!!! The next day he returned to finish up. He is absolutely the best.

I didn't hire them because they were so expensive.

We were extremely happy with Mike's services. He was responsive, punctual, and friendly. My fiance was particularly happy that Mike was very descriptive during the fix in explaining what was wrong, and how we could prevent problems in the future. We also appreciated his honesty-- the other plumber we received an estimate from told us the entire valve assembly was broken, and for over $600 (not to mention the cost to tear down, put back up, and re-tile our wall), they could fix it. Mike was completely honest in saying he thought it was a small fix, and indeed it was. I think it's rare to find someone like that, and I'd highly recommend him to others needing a plumber.

In about 15 minutes, Mike cleared a clogged line that I had been been battling for about a month and had already wasted about $400 at Home Depot on various chemicals, air-pressure and roto-rooter type gadgets.

Mike had done work for us in the past but very minor. This was a 6 hour job. He was efficient, pleasant and professional and obviously did a good job. We would use him again readily and recommend him to others without hesitation.

We have had Mike come in to do work several times in the past few months since we've owned our new house, and he is fantastic! He has been very easy to communicate with, especially over email, and he's always cheerful and helpful. He was very understanding when we had a time crunch to get our bathroom done and when things came up that needed to be replaced quickly so that our contractors could continue their work. He was even nice enough to install our toilet flange on a Saturday and stopped by to install our shower valve before heading out on vacation, which I felt really bad about - but it was so nice to finally have a working shower in our house! He is always quick to respond to emails, and he's a really nice guy to deal with in person. Mike does excellent, meticulous work and goes above and beyond, making sure that things are done right. We'll definitely be calling him back when we need more plumbing work done!

The radiator was a quick fix and works great. The sink ended up being a nightmare, but a nightmare Mike saved us from. It was a pedestal sink and it had been jerry-rigged together by the previous owners. Mike stayed for hours, even called in friends to help assess options when it became clear that some options could require removing some bathroom wall tiles. All in all he was professional, great to deal with, flexible, and wasn't going to leave until the job was done right. Two huge thumbs up.
