Description of Work: Installed a hot cold water tap. It failed within a month. He came back and replaced it. He is a pleasant and professional guy but way too expensive for me.

Description of Work: Swapped out the ancient faucet on my basement soapstone laundry sink, and replaced some copper lines. Top quality craftsmanship and materials. He did the research to track down a relatively rare faucet needed for this old sink. Reports elsewhere that he is not inexpensive are true. But I'm happy with his workmanship. He also checked out the upstairs shower faucet and replaced the bypass valve in the same call, so maybe it was really two jobs. Still... |

When he encountered a problem and needed an electrician he handled lining one up for us, which during a busy move-in period was hugely appreciated. He's friendly, quiet, clean and we are comfortable having him in our house while we go about our business. I'll call him whenever we need a plumber and be confident that I'm getting good service and a fair price.
Description of Work: We first had Mike over to un-install and re-install stove and dishwasher (old to new). Then we had him back to remove a half bath.

When he ran into a problem with the bathroom sink replacement, he presented several options to me and gave very knowledgeable good advice. He cleaned up everything before he left. I will hire him again for other projects. People who do what they say they will do (show up on time, stay within budget, clean up, and leave behind a beautifully done project) are not always easy to find. Mike is a gem.
Description of Work: Mike replaced two toilets, a vanity and bowl and two sets of sink hardware.

 + -1 moreOverall, very happy. I called and left a message and my call was returned within 1 hour. Mike arrived in about 30 minutes and immediately went to work. He quickly located the leak, described what the repair would involve, ran out to the store to get necessary supplies and it was all fixed an hour later. He was very professional, tidy and even recommended a general contractor who can repair the ceiling. Very happy with the service, would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Located a leak in the plumbing in the basement bathroom and replaced the faulty piece of pipe.

He was also friendly and explained all the work including what options I have for my bathtub (it is very old and requires an overhaul). There is a reason this plumber has such high ratings on Angie's and I'm glad I checked these before I chose someone. One very happy customer here.
Description of Work: The plumber fixed several problems such as a broken toilet flush, a loose sink faucet, and a leaking second floor washer. He also looked at a loose bathtub handle that another plumber could not fix.

 + 0 moreI called Mike on Monday about a kitchen sink or disposal drain problem. He called me Monday night and agreed to come between 12 and 2 on Tuesday. He called and came on Tuesday at 12:30. He was very professional. He looked at the kitchen sink situation and then the 1/2 bath sink and toilet which I told him about after he showed up. He went right to work and completed the entire job by 1:30. He was great to deal with and I will call him again if the need arises.
Description of Work: Snaked kitchen sink drain for clog. Replaced fill valve on 1st floor half bath toilet. Tightened packing nut and cleaned stem on 1st floor half bath sink faucet hot side.

 + -1 moreWe are extremely pleased with Mike's professionalism, cleanliness and pleasant attitude. The water heater was replaced for $1600 which was 1/2 of the cost of our old plumbers estimate! I know it sounds high, but we have a large water heater that vents to the side of our house, demanding a special and expensive heater. I highly recommend Mike. He got the job done quickly and at a very reasonable price; 5 out of 5 stars!
Description of Work: Our water heater sprung a leak on a Saturday night while I was out of the country. Luckily my wife noticed the water immediately and we did not suffer severe water damage. Sunday, I sprung into action and checked with Angie's List (while in Ecuador) and narrowed my search down to two plumbers. My wife called Mike who responded that day and explained that he could do the work on Monday, the next day.

 + -1 moreMike promptly responded to our email in 4 hours which we sent on Sunday over the President's day weekend. We called him on Monday to discuss our problem and he offered to come by on Tuesday morning, at a time convenient for us to assess the damage. He said he would arrive between 8am and 9am and call upon arrival, which he did. He was very professional, clean and even said he would check in next week to see if the leaking had stopped.
Description of Work: Mike evaluated source of leak from upstairs bathroom which was evident in ceiling below bathroom. We originally thought it may be a leaking toilet but Mike identified the shower backsplash as the possible source. He caulked the area around the backsplash and unscrewed the shower faucet to check on the wall condition.

Mike called back and although he couldn't come that night, came early the next morning. He was very pleasant, went out to get the part and came back quickly, completed the work very quickly, and as far as we can tell did a good job. His price was very reasonable as well. We will use him again.

He quickly responded to our call to have a look at the leak and fixed couple of things that were the best suspects, such as the twisted drainage hose. The problem was solved, and I did not have to make an expensive repair, such as replacing the condenser pump. He did an excellent job of keeping his customers (us) happy and informed.
