Made an appointment with Michael Landry for Monday July 11 between 9 and 10 AM. He arrived at about 0930 AM.I showed him the corroded length of pipe on the water heater inlet, the stuck shut-off valve on the washing machine connections, and the problem with operating the sink drain pop-up.First he adjusted the pop-up valve control. He then went out to get some parts he needed for the water heater and washing machine work. After starting on the water heater, he determined that the existing isolation valve was leaking to the extent that he could not do the work without having the water to the condo shut off. I gave him the condo management company contacts and phone numbers. He called and left messages. While waiting for them to call back he started on the washer connection valve. When the condo's on-site maintenance manager was available, he came over to the unit and spoke with Michael about what he needed. Once the maintenance manager located the shut-off valve for the building and closed it, Michael was able to install the new isolation valve for the hot water heater. Once that was in, Michael called the condo maintenance manager and asked that the water be turned back on. The valve tested as leak tight so he proceeded to finish the water heater work and the washing machine work. He then cleaned up the work area, prepared his bill, etc. Total elapsed time was between 3 and 4 hours. Clean-up was thorough. Michael kept me informed about what he was doing and why. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. He presented me with a bill immediately after completing the work (prepared electronically on his iPad and emailed to me) and gave me the receipts for the materials he charged me for.
Description of Work: Replaced a corroded section of inlet piping to the hot water heater, as well as the isolation valve for the hot water heater. Replaced the shut-off valve for the clothes washer hose connections. Repaired the pop-up drain control on a bathroom sink.
