+ -1 moreGary was able to squeeze me into his schedule when I lost heat due to an old thermostat. We had already purchased a new one as we knew there were problems with it. Gary was prompt, efficient, and pleasant. He replaced it easily and let me know he needed to drill new holes as the new thermostat did not line up with the holes for the old one. I would definitely call him again.

+ -1 moreI selected Gary Tashian's Handyman Express to do the work because of the compelling price and good feedback I received from the references he provided. During his first visit, he examined the exterior stairs and mentioned its steps are worn enough to justify installation of plastic treads upon them. He gave a good price for that, and I agreed to include it into the list of items to be done. Gary worked during a few days on the same week. He worked alone all this time except one day when he came with a worker who helped him to install the exterior stair railings. I consider the work to be done fast, with good quality and respect for the property (he thoroughly cleaned the working area and promptly discarded all the waste, including old metal railings). I am very satisfied with the Gary's work and consider asking him to perform more works in my house in the future.

+ -1 moreHad a pipe burst inside a wall in an old home. It damaged the walls on the second floor and some walls and a ceiling on the first floor. Gary repaired all the damage, painted and wallpapered the walls. It took him several trips to do the job. He was very professional and reachable by phone, text, and email. Would highly recommend Gary for repairs.

+ -1 moreGary was great! He arrived on time, was very friendly and enthusiastic. He was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend him and have scheduled him to come again this week for a few more projects/tasks.
Description of Work: He put up finials for curtains in a bedroom, fixed a toilet paper holder, fixed a speaker that had been falling off of the wall and quickly reinstalled magnetic door stops that had been removed.

+ -1 moreIt went poorly. He's a lazy person who only likes "lay-up" jobs.
Description of Work: Gary was hired to measure a window for a replacement screen. He attempted to go to the site twice. The first try, the street was blocked off for roadway construction. Gary didn't have the intuition to park on another street and walk to the property. He didnt need any tools, just a tape measure and maybe a notepad. Second try, two weeks later, Gary said that he couldnt find the lock box on the property. When I told him it was at the rear of the property he said that he couldnt get to the rear since everything was "overgrown". I told him I had been to the property many times and that there is a back gate, as I was saying this he got very abrasive and angry with me telling me that I'm "wasting his time". Well, he wasted my time. I've had countless contractors go out to the site and use the lock box for access. The fact of the matter is he is lazy. Now, after HE wasted MY time, I need to find someone who can actually find me a replacement screen. If you couldn't do it Gary, why did you say you'd try to help us out? Just don't use this guy. Period.
