Drama-Free Experience. Armando and his team showed up on time, respected my home and my time and completed the job within the time frame and cost promised. Armando followed through with everything I asked; he provided a Certificate of Insurance naming me as additional insured, talked to my electrician about the job (my electrician was cheaper than Genove's), checked in on the installation crew several times over the two day period, explained how the system works and how to maintain it. They were honest, clean and experienced contractors.

I contacted this company based on their reviews here. My first service was completed in the spring to clean my AC unit and check the system. The woman on the phone was very professional and friendly. The tech who came to my home was just as good and explained everything about my system to me. I had recently moved into the home and was unaware of some aspect of it. He took his time, explained everything he was doing, and gave me tips on how to take care of the system so there were no issues. He was great. At that time, I purchased a plan with the company to service my AC and heating unit each year. In the winter, my furnace stopped working during a cold snap. Even with the busy schedule due to similar problems all around, a tech was able to come over a few hours after my call. Unfortunately, I learned this company does not service my furnace and the tech was unsure of how to work on it. He admitted no other tech would know and said they would not be able to fix it. Although this was the case, he was friendly, professional, and took his time to read the manual to see if he could help. In the end, I probably should have made sure they serviced my furnace prior to buying a service contract with them. I will not be renewing this with them because of this issue, however my experiences were all positive.

Genove is our oil carrier and they service our furnace. We smelled exhaust from our basement, called Genove's answering service early in the morning and someone arrived almost immediately. It turns out that it the exhaust was from a problem with our condo mate's furnace and the technician fixed the problem for her (and us) without delay. From start to finish, even during a snow storm with these crazy cold temperatures, everyone we worked with was polite, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Later in the day, coincidentally, we had a problem with *our* furnace that was unrelated to the situation earlier in the day (what are the odds?!). Genove sent someone back to the house and fixed the problem. This company has outstanding customer service and their billing is also convenient and hassle free. They keep meticulous records on our account and their response time to email is almost immediate. I have yet to interact with someone from the company who is not helpful and friendly.

Our smoke alarms started going off the Friday after Thanksgiving---only cause we could figure out was a "hot smell" in the basement (no actual smoke). Genove tech came out (holiday week-end) to look for the cause---couldn't find---alarms stopped----they left---hour later alarms went off again----tech came back---figured out the cause (pieces breaking off the chamber liner behind the furnace door, so door was overheating when furnace was running for long period of time. After much searching for a supplier open on the holiday week-end, and being unable to find any (but offering to continue the search on Saturday), they suggested that we keep our heat constant at the lowest tolerable heat, but not turn it down at night so the furnace would not stay on very long each time it came on (to avoid the metal door overheating) until they could find a supplier and special order the chamber liner needed for our old "Peerless" furnace! This actually worked over the long, cold week-end, and on Monday they were able to order the liner express shipping, scheduling with us for installation on Wednesday. They sent a technician who knew how to install this part, and got it accomplished and furnace up and running again in less than 2 hours, charged us only for the actual part and installation labor (the time they had spent coming out multiple times was considered covered by the service plan we have with them, which seemed very fair, even though this major part was one of the things not covered in our service contract. We were very pleased with the outcome, and even though the suppliers were closed for the holiday week-end, Genove again demonstrated that they do provide 24/7 coverage for emergency service, and their technicians are professional enough to handle this kind of more major situation. (and all of the other situations, during annual servicing or some service call in between, they have had the parts in their truck and are able to replace on the spot)

I am completely happy with my oil delivery. I have automatic delivery and it is delivered without any problems. Re: the service call: He was unable to repair the problem, even for a temporary fix until they could get parts. He suggested I call the installer. Wished me luck and left. This was during a very cold period and I had no heat . I had to call my installer who came on a Sunday to effect a temporary fix so that I would have heat. He returned about a week or 2 later to complete the repair. My contract should have covered this, instead I had to pay over $900 to someone else for my repair.

Bad costumer service. Just interested in selling us the highest price products. When we consulted them about converting to gas (which is another service they could provide), they lied to us saying our space wouldn't allow it and it would not be possible at all. When we insisted that it would be possible, they gave us an outrageous estimate. We just did the convertion with another company and we are very happy about the result and ESPECIALLY THE SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER BILLS FOR HEAT AND HOT WATER we have now! Deliveries of oil were in time as scheduled though.

It was good. I feel a little dumb calling afterwards as it seemed that everything he pointed out should be in a manual somewhere, unfortunately an 80 year old house doesn't come with one. The one on one help and evaluation was very useful and I wouldn't hesitate calling again as they were prompt and seemed to do a good job.

They redesigned the system and installed modifications. The design proved excellent, and the work was done promptly and on-schedule for a fixed price. We were very satisfied with their service

I found Genove through Angie's List in the middle of a heat wave when my air conditioning system stopped working. I had never worked with Genove before and I knew they would be busy with existing customers. They were honest with me about the earliest date when they could get to me, and then ended up coming a day earlier than predicted. They were working very hard to meet demand during such a busy season. When they showed up I found them to be both very professional and to possess genuine expertise. They not only fixed the immediate problem, but (finally!) were able to fix the installation problems that had plagued my air conditioning system since it was installed by another company. I couldn't have been happier. Additionally, they processed a warranty claim on a very pricy part, in spite of the fact that they were not required to do so, since they were not the original installer. I had to pay in advance for the part and wait for them to forward the refund to me once it came in (required by the manufacturer, not by Genove). When I hesitated at this arrangement, given that I had not worked with Genove before, the manager called me to personally assure me that this process worked all the time and they could be trusted. He referred me to their reviews on Angie's List to assuage my concerns. In the end I got my refund check from them far faster than expected, and I think their diligence is directly responsible for that. Genove was prompt, expert and professional, and their price was very competitive. I will go to no other company for my HVAC needs in the future.

Excellent experience, Amando is very friendly and easy to talk to. The company is easy to contact, discuss concerns and go over any questions you might have. They also mentioned that it is fine to wait two years after buying a new unit before setting up a maintenance plan. Thank you for your nice work.

It was great! The technician was really helpful, and I appreciated that he explained what he was doing in addition to showing me how to care for the system since I had just bought the house. Furthermore, he was on time and courteous, and the price seemed fair. Ultimately, it was a great experience, and I would definitiely recommend the company to others.

We were not very happy, they end up coming back a month later (begining of December) because my furnace started doing the same thing and they charged us $90 which I am disputing.

I am a Genove oil customer with a service contract. The promptness and responsiveness of their service is excellant. Somehow the problems with my forced hot water system seem to happen at night or on weekends, and Genove has always sent someone out and fixed the problem the same day as my call, often within a couple of hours. So they get an A+ on service. My concern is price. I don;t have anything to compare it to, so perhaps unfair, but it seems that what goes wrong is never covered by the service contract and never inexpensive. On balance I would recommend this company to others but it would be good to compare the service contracts and understand what your choices are.

Genove charged less on both fronts and was much more personable to work with. They were great when I mailed my bill to the wrong place and was really late! Overall, they were friendly and a welcome change from the folks who seemed to be cheating me. I've told several friends about what a great experience we had with Genove.

Genove was helpful in discussing this matter and determining that I didn't need the service.

Wonderful people - took a look at my job, which I presumed needed annual servicing [as my former, and now defunct contractor told me], and told me I did not need the service - refunded my payment through the credit card, pointed out [free] a couple of things I could do to keep my heating system working well, and wished me a good day - all for free. This is a terrific company - I will call them immediately when and if I need service on my heating system.

Great service and very honest company. I accidentally mailed in a check for the services 3 months after having already payed by credit card (I found an adressed envelope while unpacking after a move and just sent it in). They called me to let me know I had already payed the bill. I wouldn't have realized on my own. Would absoloutely use them again!

I have a vacation home in Westford Ma. and I contacted Genove since they service my heating and A/C units at my home in Lexington. They set a schedule for one week and the work was completed on time and on budget. The work was done professionally and w/o any disruption to the existing structure. Fortunately the unit was in for the recent heat wave and it worked as well as we hoped it would.

Great service as the units were about 7 seven years old and I never cleaned or inspected them. He found very little wear and tear or dust which he said was due to using good airfilters and changing every 6 months. He cleaned the condensers and the drains. Overall took about an hour for 2 units. He was very open to giving advice on making sure how not to get a future big bill. Overall well worth the peace of mind to know the ac units are all set and primed especially for the hot summer days when I'll need them. Highly recommend.

i found out about them because of an angie's list deal, signed up for their maintenance package. they actually CALLED me because i hadn't set up my first date, which is something i'm typically pretty terrible about. it was great to have them put effort into earning their money instead of just letting me pay and not ask for help! the technician came by, tested my system and replaced a relay box that took water damage in the past. he ran me through maintenance steps i could take and didn't try to upsell me on a new AC unit when i asked about it. i'm probably going to get a better AC from them, regardless =]

Good and quick. Came out as soon as possible POSSIBLE, VERY RESPONSIVE.

Easy to book appointment and arrived on time. Quick for estimate. I had to call a week or so later to remind them to email me the estimate. I got it the next day.
