It went very well. His son assisted him, and they even did a good job cleaning up. He has lived in Waltham his whole life, and his truck is his office. I would definitely recommend him to others and i would use him again.

Denis can fix anything. He is a rare combination of extreme skill, reliability and fairness. He is the greatest plumber I know. He was here back in December during the start of the deep freeze. One of my zones was cold and nobody could figure out why. I called Denis and he did not hesitate to say he would come right over despite the fact that is was already quite late in the evening. He troubleshooted into the night until he found the cause of the problem which was actually a lose connection on a zone controller. He did not charge unusual or exorbitant feeds despite the lateness of the hour. Unlike most plumbers, Denis troubleshoots my plumbing and heating system systemically, not focusing solely on plumbing, and for that reason he is the only plumber I've known in seven years who can actually fix the heat in a house as old as mine. He's doing a heating system replacement for me now and he is the only one I trust to actually get it right.

Highly unprofessional. In June he gives us an estimate for heater replacement, we hire him, earliest he can do is September, everything is agreed. In September he shows up, takes another look at the piping (which hasn't changed since the time he examined it in June), says that fixing it would be way too involved and declares that he is "not interested in this job" (exact quote). Forget that we went through tons of paperwork with MassSave and the bank, forget that we wasted the summer months waiting for him. The biggest problem is that at this point all the heater contractors are really busy and we might end up stuck with a malfunctioning boiler as the cold weather is coming -- thanks to Denis Goguen Plumbing and Heating Inc.

Denis did a professional job for a fair price. He left all the new pipe joints cleaned and neat (unlike previous plumbers). He does top quality work and does it efficiently.

I asked if he would look at a leaky faucet. He had a model that worked in his truck and changed the faucet during the same visit. This saved me time and money. He was considerate, patient and made sure I was happy with the faucet choices he had on hand. Everything was working after he left. I am planning to pass his name along to neighbors and friends and we now consider him one of our valued "go to service people" He is A#1 for plumbing needs

Denis arrived on time and was very neat and his cost was reasonable.

When I called Denis and left a message on his voicemail he promptly returned my call the same day. We setup an appointment and he arrived on time - a bit early actually. I found him to be courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I'm glad to have chosen Denis and would certainly call him in the future for other plumbing problems. I think he was great! Highly recommended!

Dennis explained why we were having trouble with our toilet and what are options were. He made the technical parts easy to understand while giving us a lot of details. His prices seem reasonable and he came when he said he would. He does not work on steam boiler systems himself but was helpful with explanations about what was needed. Nov 1 2013 - We referred him to our neighbor and he is doing over their bathroom at this time. The quality of work seems very good.

Showed up right on time, checked things out in the shower drain, listened to my description of the problem, and fixed with a snake, which took a couple of tries. Was a deep clog, a long way down through the pipes. Double checked to make sure it was fully unclogged, and left everything clean. Also took a look at my water heater at my request, noted nothing wrong other than it being on the old side. Told me what too look for, and agreed to provide me a quote on a new one if I wanted to replace it. Also seems like a nice guy.

Denis was quick to respond and find a convenient time to meet our hectic schedules to replace the water line to our fridge which had burst unexpectedly. Service was quick, he was clean, prompt, and reasonably priced. We will certainly use him again

Replaced a kitchen faucet with one I had purchased from Home Depot. It was a little bit tricky, given the size of the cabinet underneath the sink, but he did a good job. Was very professional through the whole process.

He was very nice and clean. He cleaned up well after himself. He did a good job. And I would recommend him. Overall I thought he was excellent. The only thing that I didn't like was that he put a fan; I didn't knew he was going to put a fan in. It's kind of a little noisy. It has something to do with drawing in air from the outside, because my AC wasn't large enough to filter out air or something. And I didn't know about it beforehand; you know, he hadn't mentioned it. And it's noisy and that bothers me. I did bring it up to him, I have him come back and look at it, but there isn't, really, anything they can do, so. But otherwise, I mean, overall it works very well. He was very good and punctual, et cetera.

I called Denis yesterday and left a voice mail. He called me back very quickly and was able to come to my place a couple of hours later to look at the water heater and to give me an estimate. So I could compare, I'd also called another highly rated plumber found on Angie's List for a quote. There was a huge difference in quotes! The other guy wanted $900. To me, that means that Denis charged an appropriate fee, which covers the new water heater, installation, clean up, and disposal of the old water heater. I'll definitely recommend Denis to anyone needing a plumber!

I got him from Angie's List and he's just fabulous. They came right away, it took him less than an hour, he cleaned up after himself, he's just terrific. I thought it was going to be more than that because he had to fix a leak on the inside and then replace the shut-off and turn-on on the inside and he had to go outside and put a whole brand new stick on and connect the hose to it so he was just terrific. I would definitely tell them to call him, he's just terrific, I don't even know who the guy is but he came like I was his daughter or something, I called him 2 days ago and he was out first thing this morning. The last time I called him, he had literally go into a wall to fix the pipe that was in there and he was fabulous to that, I couldn't have asked for something better, I really couldn't, he was beyond my expectations.

Date was set after consultation. Work was performed as requested and expected. Entire job including clean up done in one day. Very pleasant resposive contractor. We had concern for extensive plantings which were carefully protected. No damage occurred. I can not praise them too highly. This is the best contractor experience I have had in a very long time. We had taken a "big deal" offer and expected that there would be extras. There were none.

Denis was easy to reach by phone, willing to schedule a visit for the next day, and prompt in arriving at the scheduled time. He showed courtesy, professionalism, and knowledge of the equipment. The service was completed satisfactorily in a reasonable amount of time.

I was delighted with the service provided by Mr. Goguen. I would enthusiastically recommend him to family and friends - and I have. He did a wonderful job and he cleaned the bathroom when he was done, so there was no evidence that work had been completed. He worked in an extremely tight spot and did not complain about the discomfort I am sure he experienced. I was incredibly pleased. The cost was exactly what he had quoted over the phone (in fact, it was on the lower end of the range) and I am hoping to have him back to do a little more work.

Denis Goguen performed all the services himself that I requested. He was prompt, considerate and efficient. He completed the work in less time than I anticipated and his charges were very reasonable and correspondingly less than I thought they would be. The quality of the work he performed is excellent, and after a month of living with them, we are still very pleased. I would definitely hire him again for any of our household plumbing repairs.

He was wonderful. He wasn’t prompt because he got stuck in traffic. He was very apologetic and it wasn’t a problem for me. He was very thorough and good. I would call him again if I needed to do anything.

I pre-purchased a '2 hours of plumbing service' special, thinking that this would be a good way to get a few small jobs done around the house. Bad idea. Mr. Goguen was very busy because this promotion was very successful. I live in a 100 year old Victorian. I needed my outside hose spigot replaced. He did not have the 1 inch pipe that was originally there and convinced me that a half inch cooper pipe was fine. Also, because the pipe went through a wooden basement window frame, he was unable to put the spigot flush against the frame. Instead, it sticks out with about 3 inches of that small copper pipe holding it in place. This may be physically OK and it has lasted for a year so far, but I wasn't happy. I worry every time I turn on the hose that I will bend the copper pipe. I also had a small leak (a minor drip) at a joint on a 1 inch water pipe on the basement ceiling. He did not want to deal with it and told me that he didn't like working on old plumbing like mine because anything could happen. I wound up putting some patch sealant over the leak myself. He worked around 30 min less than the 2 hour prepaid. I was left feeling that I never wanted to buy one of those Angie's List specials again. I never would have chosen a plumber that didn't like working on old houses.

Unfortunately he didn't show up to our appointment. Too bad.

Denise came as he promised and finished both jobs well.
