It looks perfect now. He gave good suggestions, improved on the structure of the wall from the original contractor by putting in pressure treated wood on the base of the wall. Very friendly, courteous, and responds well to phone calls.

Tom and his crew are wonderful to work with. They genuinely love what they do, to the point that I feel energized every time I leave the work site. They have a wide range of talents, and amazing depth of experience. They work SOOO hard. They respect and care for the house, avoiding unnecessary damage while they are working. They are careful listeners, really taking the time to get the smallest details nailed down. Tom does very high quality work, but he is also very cost conscious, helping me to save money along the way without compromising the job. Tom's crew has a comprehensive set of skills, and he seems to have an excellent network of affordable, quality subs for demolition, plastering, etc., saving me a lot of time and money. In particular one of his carpenters (on his crew, not a sub) is extremely talented at finish work, which is like the icing on the cake, really making the work look perfect. The new windows look like they are original to the house.

Wonderful! We needed siding repairs after a wind storm, a gutter re-attached and a wall painted. Tom and his crew are responsive and friendly and work hard. Tom always returned my calls in a timely manner and contrary to what friends had told me about contractors in general (not knowing Tom), Tom and his crew performed the work quickly, although sometimes it took my calling him first. Like most contractors he's a busy guy so sometimes I had to call and pin down an exact day when he could come to the house. But once that conversation happened he stuck to it.

No work was performed. He came out for an estimate of a new bulkhead and back porch railings. He was on time and friendly. He spent a considerable amount of time measuring and writing in his book and time chatting. He said he would email an estimate in a few days. After 10 days of not hearing from him, I emailed and called him. After speaking with him, he stated he would email the estimate by the end of the weekend (3 days later). No estimate arrived. I called again, 3 days later and spoke to him again. We chatted, he said he was very busy, could not perform the work in the near future and said he would call back in a few minutes with a ballpark estimate. It is now a day later, and still no word.

I had to track him down to get the estimate. I chose not to use him. Initially everything was fine. Everything was tainted by him not following through.

He was about half the price of the other estimate. He was prompt, punctual. He had to come twice to finish, came on time. He was very experienced and nice to work with. Responsive, just a nice person.

Wonderful experience. Super nice guy and very honest.

He was extremely professional, polite, flexible and reasonable.

They were prompt, respectful, and helpful from start to finish, both with the estimate and with the work itself. They did the work only two weeks after I first called them to talk about it. I had discussed several other repairs with them (a door that wouldn't close and cabinet doors that were broken), but we had decided that we couldn't afford to fix those things yet. While one of the guys was cutting out the floor, the other guy, claiming to be bored, did the extra repairs for free. They were also extremely tolerant of my three children watching the whole process, explaining to them as they went along, and letting them "help" with some of the cleanup.

Excellent work. Was able to schedule per my request.

He replied quickly to give an estimate. He did the work on time and as required.

VERY PLEASED WITH ALL THE WORK PERFORMED. TOM AND HIS HELPERS SCOTT AND ANTHONY WERE CouRTEOUS, PROMPT AND EFFICIENT.

Mr. Cromer was very polite and professional. He answered and returned phone calls promptly. He split the work on this small project with a professional plumber, and everything was completed in a timely manner according to the set schedule.

Tom's crew does a very good job. Tom often came up with good ideas to implement or ways to save money. They do not seem to stay on one job until complete, but are juggling several jobs, so sometimes that slows the process.

CROMER REMODELING IMPRESSED ME WITH OVERALL UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT ABSOLUTELY NEEDED REPLACEMENT VERSES WHAT COULD BE REPAIRED OR PATCHED TO SAVE MONEY. TOM WAS ALWAYS GOOD ON RETURNING CALLS AND ALSO ON CALLING TO SAY IF HE OR HIS WORKERS WERE GOING TO SHOW UP LATER OR THE THE NEXT DAY. HE WAS WILLING TO GIVE US BALLPARK ESTIMATES THEN WROTE UP DETAILED CONTRACTS FOR ACTUAL WORK.

TOM WAS DILIGENT ABOUT GETTING DIRECTIONS TO OUR CONDO AND HE CALLED THE NIGHT BEFORE TO CONFIRM HE WAS COMING EARLY THE NEXT DAY. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THIS LEVEL OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL. HE WAS ON TIME, TOOK PHOTOS AND NOTES, AND EXPLAINED WHAT WAS LIKELY HAPPENING AND HOW HE COULD MAKE THE REPAIRS. UPON LEAVING, HE SAID HE'D GET AN ESTIMATE TO US WITHIN 24 HOURS. WE BOTH LIKE HIM AND WERE READY TO HIRE HIM BASED ON THE BALLPARK FIGURE HE STATED. I EMAILED HIM LATER THAT DAY ASKING HOW HE MIGHT HELP WITH A COUPLE MORE THINGS I'D FORGOTTEN TO ASK ABOUT WHILE HE WAS HERE (INSTALL KITCHEN FAUCET, FOR EXAMPLE). WE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. THIS WAS OUT OF CHARACTER FROM ALL EARLIER IMPRESSIONS BUT SOMETIMES THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WITH CONTRACTORS. I WOULD NOT NECESSARILY DISCOUNT CONTACTING TOM FOR A FUTURE NEED, BUT I WOULD ASK FOR BETTER FOLLOW UP. WE DIDN'T PURSUE HIM EVEN A LITTLE IN THE CASE OF THE WALLS BECAUSE WE MANAGED TO HAVE THE CONDO ASSOCIATION ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.

ALTHOUGH VERY BUSY, TOM CROMER UNDERSTOOD THAT MY DAUGHTER WAS ANXIOUS TO SLEEP IN HER NEW BED AND SQUEEZED US INTO HIS SCHEDULE WITHIN THE WEEK. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. NOW, WE ARE SPEAKING TO HIM ABOUT A LARGER PROJECT, INSTALLING FRENCH DOORS BETWEEN THE KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM.

I CALLED TOM ON A FRIDAY AND LEFT HIM A MESSAGE ASKING IF HE COULD COME OPEN A STUCK WINDOW AND INSTALL AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IN IT. HE CALLED BACK NOT LONG AFTER AND SAID THAT HE COULD PROBABLY HELP US ON SATURDAY. HE THEN GAVE US A FOLLOW UP CALL AT A REASONABLE HOUR ON SATURDAY TO SEE IF WE STILL NEEDED HELP. WE HAD MANAGED TO GET SOMEONE ELSE TO COME ON FRIDAY, BUT WERE PLEASED THAT TOM WAS SO POLITE AND PROMPT.

ON TIME, EXTREMELY POLITE, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING, EVERY STEP. DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. A NICE GUY AS WERE THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED WITH HIM. HOPE HE'LL HELP US WITH FUTURE PROJECTS.

TOM WAS ONLY OK ABOUT RETURNING PHONE CALLS. HOWEVER WHEN WE DID SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS HE CAME AND DID A GOOD JOB AT A FAIR PRICE. HE COULD BE BETTER ABOUT PUNCTUALITY, BUT WAS VERY HELPFUL AND I WAS WELL SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AND WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE HIM AGAIN.

HE IS A VERY NICE GUY TO HAVE AROUND AND HE DOES GOOD WORK. HE IS INTERESTING AND CONVERSATIONAL, VERY PERSONABLE. IVE USED HIM A FEW TIMES AND I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN.
