Description of Work: They came to trap a rat in our home. First they came and told us what needed to be done, and laid traps. They came back a couple of days later (Saturday!) to close up the holes in our foundation with cement. Sunday morning, the rat was dead next to one of the traps in the kitchen. Mike Prest, who did all the work, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He even cleaned up the mess the rat made behind my compactor! I would definitely use this company again, and I recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreDan Master was quick to respond to my call to catch a pesky squirrel which had built a nest in our chimney. He called back the very same day, explained thoroughly the fee schedule & work to be performed, & arranged an appointment within just a few days. The fee was set up in such a way that an inspection cost of $199 is paid & then a charge per animal removed. At first this seemed like a lot, but when talking to other animal removal companies there were hidden or extra charges for things like taller ladders, additional traps etc. A technician arrived in a clearly marked vehicle wearing a uniform, was friendly, & provided a detailed report. Traps were set & they had our squirrel within a day!! They monitored for several days & felt comfortable saying the problem was solved. My only issue was the tech asked if I wanted covers placed over exterior vents & I had indicated no, he had placed them anyway, but when I brought this to Dan's attention he fixed it quickly.
Description of Work: Critter Control inspected our house for squirrel nests, set up traps, & monitored traps until problem solved.

+ -1 moreI found Dan to be immensely helpful and informative. He arrived on time and worked quickly. He had to climb through a small trap in a closet ceiling in order to get into the attic - not an easy task, and he thoroughly inspected hoping to catch the raccoon. He then had to climb the full length of his ladder in a stiff wind to reach the roof exterior which, since the house is built on a hill, amounted to a 3 story climb. He was very clear on stating the costs and explaining all aspects of live animal removal. I called several companies from Angie's List in this category, and I found Critter Control to be among the most reasonable, but more importantly the costs were explicit and precise, no surprises.
Description of Work: I contacted the company having discovered that, in addition to a squirrel or two, a raccoon had gotten into our attic. Dan came to my house and inspected the attic for all possible signs of entry, determining that the one hole in the fascia by the corner of the roof was the sole entry point. Also, that there were no animals present at the moment. Since it was a Friday, he did not set any traps, saying they would be set if needed on Monday. Meanwhile, he covered the hole with cardboard in order to determine if animals were returning. On Monday, the hole was covered over with wire mesh in order to keep animals out until I have been able to secure a contractor to properly repair the roof.

Description of Work: THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY TO REMOVE A SQUIRREL FROM MY FIREPLACE. IT TURNED OUT THAT THERE WAS A HUGE NEST UP THERE, COMPLETE WITH FOUR BABIES. THEY RETURNED EVERY DAY UNTIL ALL THE ANIMALS WERE CAUGHT, THEN CLEANED OUT THE NEST, PUT THE DAMPER BACK IN PLACE AND CLEANED THE HEARTH. THEY ALSO CAPPED THE CHIMNEY FOR US.
