welding, chimney caps
+ 0 moreDropped off chimney cap at the shop and was told that it would be ready in a week. I called after 8 days and was told that it would be ready the next day. It was not. I called the next day and was told that I could pick it up the next day after that. I finally picked it up after two weeks when it was done.
Description of Work: Repaired chimney cap that had blown off building and been damaged.

+ -1 moreMy chimney cleaning service man could not repair or adjust my broken chimney cap. He could not find a replacement or any help from his suppliers. Neither could I find a replacement! I took the broken chimney cap to Central Welding. George, the owner, looked at it and suggested how he would repair it. A month later, I picked up my repaired chimney cap. I called my chimney cleaning service who came out and re-installed the cap. As of today, it has remained on the roof. My thanks to George who took on this pain in the rear project for me.
Description of Work: Central welding repaired and welded my old chimney cap that fell off the chimney and split. They even added a metal band (strap) to hold it tighter on the chimney pipe.

+ -1 moreTHEY STOPPED BY MY HOUSE THE SAME DAY I CALLED THEM TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT AND GIVE AN ESTIMATE WHICH WAS REASONABLE PRICE-WISE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT. WE DIDNT USE THEM THOUGH, SINCE THE PEOPLE WHO CAUSED THE DAMAGE REPAIRED IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM BASED ON THEIR RESPONSE.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED A WROUGHT IRON FENCE REPAIRED. A BAR OF THE FENCE THAT WAS TORN LOOSE NEEDED TO BE WELDED BACK ON.

+ -1 moreSPECIALIZES IN RUSTED-OUT AUTO FLOOR BOARDS. IT TOOK 1 WEEK TO GET AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN I SHOWED UP, I SAID I WOULD BE HAPPY TO LEAVE THE CAR NOW, UNLESS IT WAS JUST GOING TO SIT THERE. HE SAID COME BACK IN 2 DAYS. I LEFT IT THEN, AND CAR WAS FINISHED THE NEXT MORNING, AND I WAS NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE. THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT! IT WAS RETURNED WITH A RUST-PROOF COATING, SO IT LOOKS LIKE NEW! THE PRICE QUOTED WAS EXACTLY THE PRICE CHARGED. THE PLACE WAS A BIT GRUNGY AND SMOKEY, BUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT! I RECOMMEND CENTRAL WELDING!
