All went smoothly and was done faster than expected.

Very well...My fireplace did not require cleaning, and I appreciated being told that. The other inner chimney was deteriorating . The providers took me down to the cellar and showed me exactly what was wrong. I could see crumbling clay liner from decades ago. They had a cancellation later that afternoon, due to a storm coming, and offered to install a new metal liner that day. They also showed me photos from the roof, where some mortar had deteriorated around the chimney bricks, and offered to repair that while they were at it...My house is 90 years old, so this is not surprising. (No major chimney work had been done for the 38 years I've lived here).They installed a partial cap which they said the gas company requires. Both of the providers were very courteous and hard working. I appreciated that they did not try to pressure me to buy extras.

Very well, they came examined chimney, fire box, sat down and explained what needed to be done, also some lnprovment suggestions. Also the total cost. They actually came back sooner than originally scheduled. Very professional worked quietly and quickly, cleaned and remove ant messes they made Sat down and explained what they had done and what we needed to learn to use new controls THEY are the greatest

I called Boston's Best in October (I think, no confirmation e-mail was sent) to schedule an appointment, which ended up being mid-December. It was a bit of a long wait but it was only a few weeks after we were scheduled to replace our boiler and this seemed reasonable. On the scheduling call I described my issue - that I probably needed a repair to the chimney and that the furnace was likely venting into the chimney box due to a terracotta liner failure. After replacing our furnace and getting a better look at the chimney it was clear that a new liner needed to be installed, there is nothing left of the chimney elbow. I thought I'd call to update them with the information I had from the furnace install. When I called I found out that my appointment was merely an estimate appointment and that the work would not be performed during that visit. Instead, a return visit would be required but could not be done before the end of January. This was not made clear when I called in October - that any additional work that would be done during a follow on appointment nor was I offered an opportunity to schedule the followup visit when I called. I really don't think 3 months is a reasonable time frame for this work and a little bit more disclosure up front would have been helpful. Now I'm stuck trying to find an installed in the middle of the "busy season". Of the things that went well - they do answer the phone and when I called they were able to find my appointment quickly. The lady on the phone was pleasant.

Friendly yet professional and businesslike. Arrived on time and worked quickly and did not leave a mess.

Service was exceptional. Couldn't have been more pleased. Kevin was pleasant and professional. Left the basement cleaner than it was when he got there.

Very professional! did not do work that was not necessary even though that meant the call ended in no payment to them. We will always call Boston's Best! Better yet, they even make calls on Saturdays which makes it easier when you work.

Super nice guy, very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He even left me with his cell phone to call him if i had any additional questions. Really great guy and a great experience. They were awesome! Very courteous and knowledgeable. Gave me great tips on what to burn and what not to burn. There was a conflict with scheduling and they bent over backwards to make it happen on the day I needed. I highly recommend them!

Needed chimney cleaned in a one hundred year old three story building in South Boston. A number of challenges and obstacles were encountered along the way such as the flues obstructed with fallen bricks. Job required back-breaking effort to dislodge the obstructions and remove the heavy debris. Workers stayed focus and worked extremely **** ** the project and kept me timely informed on the estimated costs if I chose to continue the work. Owner also advised me how it would proceed on his initial inspection. I rate the people involved and the job done nothing less than A++, which includes the value received for the price paid. Highly Recommend.

I recieved an estimate for replacing spauling bricks on one side of my chimney and bluestone caps on the side ridges. The workers were courteous and on time. There was a small area I was not happy with and Matt, the owner, made an appointment to check the work and had it redone. During the second work visit, I also had the chimney waterproofed. We have used Boston's Best Chimney several times and always have found them to be very courteous and professional.

First time they came it was to do a sweep. Showed up on time, were very efficient and nice. I had questions about the boiler flue and a second chimney. Rich listened to my questions and did some poking around. He was really nice and explained my options to me - with details as to why certain things should be done. Wrote up an estimate for the additional work at that time and said to call and schedule an appointment if we wanted to move forward with the work. We did, and they came back out about to complete it - in the snow no less! Once again, Rich gave me a complete breakdown of what they did. Walked me around and showed me everything too. It's obvious Rich loves what he does and is extremely knowledgeable. I absolutely recommend Best Chimney and have already referred other people to them!

Boston's Best Chimney has been the best chimney service provider I have used yet. The main office was responsive, both in returning calls and scheduling the work in an expedited fashion to coordinate with other work on site. The two workers, led by Kevin, were courteous and showed up on time for both the estimating and the actual work. The workmanship of the flashing and mortaring was exceptional. The flashing was applied over an existing rubber roof under-flashing. They made the flashing visually appealing and fully silicone-sealed the new lead flashing to the existing rubber (EPDM) roof. They also filled in some voids in the brickwork with mortar that also improved the overall appearance of the two chimneys. Finally, they applied two coats of Chimney Saver water proofing. While the work was being done, any issues were promptly brought to my attention and resolved. Based on my past experience, their pricing was also competitive. I would highly recommend Boston's Best Chimney for any chimney work.

The entire staff, from the crew to the office staff was very helpful in assessing the work that needed to be done (which ended up being less than our house inspector initially recommended) and figuring out the best payment options. The team that performed the work was punctual, polite, and clearly experienced. I appreciated that they went over the scope of the work with me, even to approving the brick choices, as many trades don't show that amount of respect for women. The work had to be done in two rounds and the crew was just as courteous and knowledgeable with my husband. As soon as the new chimney was built, that 'old house musty' smell went away from our 100 year old place! Keep your chimney clean, folks.
