They were great. I would use them again. I liked how thorough they were. We had them come out to cleaning and they pointed out a few minor issues. They also took care of that.

They arrived to inspect at the agreed-upon time and provided a written estimate for no charge. The work was completed with a minimum of fuss at the time and date as planned. Very pleasant and professional service people.

3 workers came at 8:45 day 1. Set up scaffolding, did some pointing. Left at 1 o'clock. Came back 8:45 day 2, put in chimney liner, chimney cap (which was missing a bolt), did some more pointing, and waterproofing. They told me when they arrived on this day they would be working until 5-6 o'clock, so when they said they were going to be done by 2:00 o'clock, I questioned the lack of pointing that was done. Obvious areas that were not done. At this time one of the workers became angry and started a profanity laced loud argument with the foreman? He was then removed and taken off the job site by the third employee. Unbelievably unprofessional. Also mixed mortar on new sod on my lawn without using a tarp, thus destroying a section. Owner Matt did give a 10% discount because of this.

They arrived within the scheduled window and got right to work. They were very professional and efficient. They cleaned the obstruction, installed the liner, and replaced the cap, all within a reasonable amount of time and with little disruption to house activities. They cleaned up very well, leaving no mess behind.

They did come out and do the work and they were great.

They did a fine job on the chimney sweep and inspection, but their ad wasn't clear that it was only for one chimney, which was a surprise and disappointment. I would encourage them to be more forthcoming and clear about that.

When the Boston's Best Chimney techs arrived, right on time, they checked everything and told us it hadn't been used enough to need cleaning, a pleasant surprise. Since we'd already paid for the Angie's List deal, B.B.C. let us apply the $175 we'd paid towards a new chimney cap (which we did need). Then in January, B.B.C. installed our new custom-made, stainless steel chimney cap, and re-pointed the top of the chimney. So, tried out our fireplace last winter, and everything worked great. Nice and cozy. Kudos to the folks at Boston's Best Chimney, job well done.

Very well. They kept in schedule, and had a nice clean job site. Final cost was spot on the agreed to quote. If they had to leave early, they always let us know. The build was a bit challenging but the chimney looks great.

They did a good job and left the area around the chimney clean. they identified our problem and found an inexpensive solution.

It went well. We paid for a full chimney sweep but didn't get it. The technician claimed that our flue was designed in such a way that they were unable to remove the damper and clean up the chimney past it. I interpreted that as "this is a fixed cost job for us (we purchased a deal from Angieslist) and this would be more work/time than that flat price lets us spend here". They did, however, leave us with a > $1K proposal to come back and re-build our flue/damper system so that they could more easily clean it. No thanks. The tech was nice/professional and did a great job keeping the house clean. A+ there. Would NOT buy another deal on Angieslist, though, knowing now that they won't take the extra time/effort to properly clean the chimney in a non-perfect situation.

Well- they found some issues, and were able to give me a estimate for the repairs. They spent time checking both my fireplace and my boiler.

We scheduled a follow up appointment, and we received a courtesy call before the appointment to confirm. Rich and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. They were polite and professional, and got the work done. They cleaned up after themselves and Rich left his cell in case we had any problems or questions. Needless to say, we were very pleased with their professionalism, the quality of their work, and their honest assessment of what work we actually needed. I would hire again and I highly recommend them.

I now understand why Boston's Best Chimney has an A+ rating. They are fantastic! Our chimney cap was blown off during the high winds in March. I called BBC and they send Matt, who came down, assessed the damage and gave us 2 quotes for repair. The options were well suited and well priced, so I scheduled the repair. Not only did BBC's office call two days ahead to confirm the appointment, but the technician Kevin, called 1/2 ahead of time to confirm his arrival, which was exactly on time. Kevin was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He assessed the damage and based on our needs, he recommended and provided an even more cost effective repair! I highly recommend Best Chimney Services - they are an honest, reputable company who have really great people working and representing them.

it was found that the debris in my chimney was from the deteriorating clay lining. The service provider cleaned out the bottom of my chimney which was loaded with debris and said the chimney could not be swept due to its condition. He did not charge me for the visit and his labor, which I was astounded by and most appreciative of. He sent me a quote in the mail for approximately $5000 for a new liner to be installed, which I will take care of at a future date as I have other projects taking precedence.

Technician was on time. He explained that when they come to check chimneys they also check the primary heat source. Both chimneys were determined to be clean and in good working order. The fireplace insert was noted to be the wrong size for the fireplace, rendering it unsafe for use. The wood stove did not meet code as far as distance from a fireproof wall. The technician suggested checking with the town building department to see if the stove met code when it was installed. Later, I checked with the building inspector. No permit had been pulled but he explained how to move the (small) wood stove so it would meet safety codes. Most importantly, the technician checked the gas burner and water heater and found that it had not been serviced for 4 years. Evidence of some soot leakage and taped pipes required immediate attention. This was my daughter's home and I had never looked at these important items. The technician also inspected the roof and all chimneys, openings and vents. In addition to explaining as he went along, I was also given a detailed report on all findings and recommendations.
