Boston's Best Chimney

Everything went exactly as promised by Boston's Best Chimney. We are pleased with their high quality of professional service.

It has been overdue. We have 2 floors. He was quick and thorough. He gave us an estimate on something that we needed to get done but there was no pressure to hurry up and do it. He just let us know.

I don't pay for it because it is a rental, but when they have came out they have been exceedingly professional. I have been pretty impressed with them. Their knowledge has also impressed me. Just by talking to him I could tell that he knew what he was talking about and that the other company that had came out was "off their rocker." He has done very good work. In the winter when it is nasty out the guys have offered to take their shoes off before they came in the house.

He is reliable, honest and comes on time. He sticks to his estimates and makes sure that the work is done right. The quality of his work is good and I have been satisfied with his service.

Raymond arrived on time with his apprentice. He was quickly able to figure out that the draw from our heating system was pulling air through the trap door in our fireplace into our basement. He plugged the hole, and then lit a fire to test the fix. Once he felt we were fixed for good, he was ready to go. Did not try to upsell, or over charge. Just fixed the issue, which was great.

I called to ask about having them install a top-sealing chimney damper. They were scheduling work five weeks out, but they gave me the price over the phone and I made an appointment. They gave me a two-hour window for when they would arrive, but they showed up an hour early. Luckily my wife was there and I was able to go home to meet them. They did the work quickly and everything went well. I can't really say much about it because I'll probably never see the top of my chimney, but the damper is doing its job. They gave me recommendations for other work that needed to be done. There was no pressure. They just stated what was needed and how much it would cost. They also took the time to help with a special request - a ball had fallen down the chimney (lucky shot) and they searched both flues until they found it.

They came on time and were fast; they were in and out quickly. They looked at everything and we were confident with them. I would use them again in future.

I called to setup an appointment to have them look at our chimney and let us know if it was useable and what repairs were needed. The earliest appointment was 2 weeks out but they gave a time window in which they would arrive, so I decided to give them a try. The day of the appointment my wife waited for them to arrive. They never showed or called. At the end of the window in which they said they would show, she tried to reach them at their office but got no response. She left a message saying she had to run errands and couldn't wait for them and asked them to call me. I got a call about 15 min later. When I asked why they didn't show I was told they were running late. When asked why they didn't call and let us know I got a non-answer. I asked when they can get there then and was told that he told the driver not to goto our place since my wife left, and it would be another week before they could get there. I explained that I had already waited two weeks and I don't want to wait another week because they were unable to keep their appointment or let us know they were running late. His attitude was completely unhelpful and unprofessional and gave the impression that it was our fault we didn't wait for them. He was not willing to do anything to other than schedule another appointment a week out. I would not recommend them.

I used a $20.00 coupon from my Angie's List book. They were good. They made an appointment and came on time. They cleaned the chimney, were very pleasant, gave me an invoice, and left. I don't have anything to compare thier prices to, but I think they were fine. They are very knowledgeable people. The office staff was nice. They called to confirm the appointment. They were earlier than the time they gave me.

Rich and Mike did a great job. They were on time and very nice. When they were finished it was like they were never there. I would highly recommend them

He came out with the objective of placing 2 chimney caps on and cleaning the chimneys. After looking at them he said that they don't need cleaning and I should wait on getting the caps put on to see how the chimney performs over the winter. Talk about honest! This attitude is almost unheard of! He could have taken me to the cleaners (excuse the pun) but he instead honestly said that nothing was needed at this time. Hire him, you will not regret it!

Pleasant and competent young man gave estimate and also performed the work a few weeks later. Called before coming and completed work when promised. Nice job.

Dana Storrs did an excellent job of explaining what needed to be done on the day that he gave the estimate. Due to changes in their work schedules Boston's Best Chimney was able to complete the work earlier than expected. On day of work Dana arrived 15 minutes before appointment time with a crew of three to complete the job. All were very hard working and did an excellent job, explaining what they were doing and why, completed the job by the end of the day, and did an excellent job of cleaning up the area and replacing everything as they had found it. They did all of this on the hottest day of the year

Their estimate was absolutely ridiculous. He was using scare tactics to try to get us to purchase his product. I think he thought I was going to fall for his tricks. I would never recommend him or use him in the future.

Mike checked both our chimneys and said they were in fine condition. He sealed a small gap in one chimney, showed me how to use the damper, and gave me advice on what to look for in the older chimney. He discovered a small problem with the vent from the furnace (the one that led into the chimney-- part was sloped down, which would hinder escape of gases). He fixed that for us. His work was rapid but thorough and I appreciated his attention to detail.

They were professional. They came on time and did a good job.

R.Hymon and Mr.Wilder did a wonderful job. They cleaned up very good and worked extremely hard. They watched out for my plants. I interviewed 4 other companies and they were the cheapest and the best.

Called several companies for estimates and Richie was the most professional and thorough. They were a little late on the day the work was done, but Richie called to say they were running behind and then apologized when they did arrive. They had a slight problem removing the old liner, but once that was out the rest of the job proceeded smoothly. They cleaned up after the job was finished both inside and out. All in all a very good experience.

Workers were courteous, efficient, and did exactly the job they described at the estimated price.

When you call in the schedulers are very nice and professional. Rich is always on time and very good at explaining anything that comes up - I've had questions about insulation and glass doors and he always answers them completely. One of the few companies I've found that I never worry about scheduling and quality of work.

they were booked for a period of time. so I had to wait. Considered going with another company rather than wait. But very pleased with service. Raymond was knowledgeable, competent, pleasant and polite.

The work was fine, but I thought they were a little expensive. They did a good job. They were on time.

They were very clean and very good. I liked them and they came with a very good reputation. Everybody did what they said they would do. They knew what they were doing. I don't have anything to compare their pricing to. I would use them again.

We put in a new oil furnace and we were told that we needed a new liner in the chimney because the old tile liner was cracked and leaking. Our first quote was $2900 but we just didn't feel comfortable with the company. We called Boston's Best Chimney based on their rating on Angie's List and they were great. They came out to look at the job on the same day we called and gave us a quote for $2500 on the spot. They came back to do the work on a Sunday in spite of 6 inches of new snow. They were polite, neat, and completely professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any chimney related work.
