I contacted Bob and he got back to me imediately. He fixed the chair in two days. It was so good to find an old school type of business and person. The chair is working out wonderfully for my disabled husband. Thank you Bob!!

Called on a Saturday and left a message. Bob called back almost immediately. Explained that I wanted to cut the hegiht of 2 wrought iron bar chairs from 29and quot; to 26and quot; to match another set. He said that he could do it and I brought them in that day. He walked through a few different ways that it could be done, and I told it was his choice - whatever would work and look best. He finished it in a few weeks (I told him there was no rush), he said they were ready - and they are perfect. He cut a section out and re-seated the feet. Excellent work at an excellent price.

They were good. I feel like he would have done it for nothing.

I left my truck dump body to be repaired at J.C Madigan truck equipment. 2 months later it was still sitting there untouched. I pulled it and brought it to Bob. Bob set a date and stuck to it. The repairs where done in 6 hours. I have no idea how he was able to do it. it was a mess, Bob is a miracle welding worker and a really great Guy.

I had a small repair job that needed welding. He told me a day and time to bring the work in. The shop is small but the man knows his trade! He took his time to avoid warping the thin steel and fully welded the seam unlike the factory welds which were spaced several inches apart. This part will probably outlast the machine it is mounted on. He did the work while I waited. I would highly recommend him but call first as he seems pretty busy.

He was quite busy at the time, but once he looked at the project and said a date, he was very punctuate. He brought a painted pipe. Work was done fast and clean-up was good. He also gave me the rebate when I said I found him on Angieslist.

I had an antique wrought iron garden rocking chair that was falling apart. A handyman who does work for me around the house recommended that I b ring it to the dump. I love the chair and was reluctant to part with it. It spent another winter behind the shed in the back yard. I found Bob Roy Welding who essentially rebuilt the chair, including a couple of coats of paint. I found his name on Angie's List; emailed him a question then a photo of the chair. He assured me he could fix it. I brought the chair to his Waltham location - too bad he didn't pick up (the one and quot;negativeand quot; of the entire experience). He kept it for a couple of weeks, calling with periodic updates. When the chair was finished, I drove to Waltham, picked it up and it is now sitting on my terrace back where it belongs. I can't wait for my handyman to come by and see this and quot;junkerand quot; back from extinction.I have no idea how Bob Roy's price compares with others, because this was basically a unique job - at least for me.Bob was very professional and easy to deal with him. I give him very high marks all around.

I was able to send Rob a sketch of what we needed and he completed the work per the schedule and price we agreed to. Although I did not get quotes from other providers, his charge for the work was less than what we would have paid if we bought the rails from the bedding company and the stock rails would not have worked. He was very accomodating when arranging pick up as I had to cancel and reschedule for an early pick up on a Saturday.

The front wheel assembly on my Lawn mower had snapped and needed to be welded. I arrived unannounced, and Bob was more than happy to help me out. He is a happy light hearted guy, so the conversation was fun, he looked it over and said how does $30 sound? Did the work on the spot. I was impressed that he spent a good deal of time making sure everything was aligned properly, which is not critical for the functioning of the wheel, but obviously his standard of work.
