I have AE Carter on speed dial. Excellent work and super responsive. They replaced both 98 year old steam boilers in my 2 family. ... And a whole bunch of other less complex work that crops up with an old house.

Their work was excellent, timely, and very cleanly and efficiently performed. I'd highly recommend them for all plumbing, heating, and air conditioning work. We've used AE Carter for over 35 years now, and have always been happy.

I had a problem with a faucet, I was trying to change it myself. That did not work out, I called him and he did it. He did a good job. I don't remember the price. After he put the kitchen faucet in, I thought I had a leak underneath the counter next to the sink. I called him and wanted him to check it. He came and checked it and did not charge me anything. He is a very honest guy and he did a good job.

Replaced bath shower head and faucet mechanisms in a 1986 fully tiled shower without any tile damage. They fully matched the original fixtures and did an excellent job. It took about a week to order the special parts, but then only an hour or so to repair.

He's one of the best.

We installed a high efficiency gas viessmann boiler when we renovated our 3 story home. We wanted to keep the old hot water radiators and add some new runtal units. The plumber brought in by the contractor was good but not that familiar with the details of high efficiency boilers, especially sizing and setting them up to run so they generate the best combination of heat and savings. Gary Carter is an expert and was excellent at getting things on track. We should have had him do the install. Most recently he responded the day of an outage we experienced. It was a difficult problem since the boiler was not providing a fault code to indicate what the problem was. Gary's experience was invaluable and then he went the extra step to go get the failed flow valve and quickly get things up and running. Whether it is designing, installing or maintaining your heating system AE Carter is tops. Well worth the investment to have him inspect and clean your heating plant each year---far superior to what you get through the gas company. They are also a member of the Hydronic Heating Association founded by the Richard Trethewey of This Old House. Not a list you can pay to get on but earn your way on by dint of expertise and service.
