Very professional. Geovani pleasure to work with. Top quality work, no shortcuts. Price is high but for good reason.

I didn't hire this company, because their quote was much higher than others. Perhaps they thought they needed more fill than was necessary, but the labor for getting it to the location (by wheelbarrow) was much higher than others.

Everything has grown in nicely and I am very pleased. I am prepared to use them for further jobs as well.

Over the winter, we had gotten a bit of flooding in the basement. As the water was both coming from the surface and bubbling up from below, serious measures seemed in order. We called a number of companies, but only A Yard and A Half answered their phone. None of the other places returned our call. A Yard and A Half were very professional when we called, and Geovani came within a day or two to assess the situation. After a thorough examination, he suggested installing a French drain. The crew arrived mid-week and even with all the digging and cutting they didn't disturb our 6 week old baby. They cleaned up the site each night before leaving and after two days the work was done. There was a lack of topsoil on the drywell which I brought to Geovani's attention, and the crew came out the next day (Saturday) and fixed the problem. We are very happy with A Yard and A Half and their work.

This was a very large endeavor as it took them many hours of backhoe pulling and stone discarding in order to finally get this piece of land we had level. They did it really well though and cleaned up as if they weren't here. The irrigation system they put in works extremely well to water the new plants and we are satisfied with them overall.

When I called for an estimate Giovanni came out promptly, and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The estimate was complete, easy to understand and reflected a clear understanding of what we were looking for. The day the workers arrived, Giovanni came too and we reviewed the plans. They prepped the beds, fixed the fence and fixed up our work area last fall. A few weeks ago Carolyn called to come back and discuss the plantings. She was knowledgeable and asked great questions to help me figure out what we wanted. She also helped us create a play area for our son. The workers came yesterday and finished today. Everything looks great! They really listened to what we wanted and created a beautiful, usable, kid-friendly yard for us.

I just received a letter from her telling me that it would not be convenient for her to come and do my yard as it was too far. I have not moved my garden, and she knew where it was back when I met with her. I feel that it was very unprofessional. We had agreed upon a price and everything.

The company recommended the drain and dry well, and asked for a drawing. We supplied a sketch, and the crew showed up and installed it in the front yard, with two downspouts.

We worked with Geovani on quoting and scheduling the work. He was prompt and precise. His crew did the work in a day and it came out nicely.

Responded to my quote request promptly. Price was the lowest of three quotes received. Work was performed when promised. Personnel were friendly and very professional. I asked that the walk have an artistic shape with gentle curves, and they did it to my satisfaction.

Eileen arrived promptly to survey the project, and was professional. I asked for a quick turn-around on getting a quote back, so I could make a decision. NEVER HEARD BACK!!!! I am going with another company, but the net result is that all my fall house projects are now delayed by over three weeks. Very frustrating!!

The estimate was a more money than we wanted to spend, and we settled on another landscaper.

They aren't necessarily the cheapest, but they give excellent service for the price. They have excellent follow-up.

Work was completed in 2 days even though the last day it was pouring outside. Advised when we got estimate dog friendly products needed to be used & were assured that was not a problem. After having another company quote an outrageous price $11,000 plus) we thought their pricing was very reasonable. They were polite, they did a good, basic job (fine for the price, it looks solid). They misunderstood how far the wall needed to go, when we pointed that out they admitted the mistake and did the extra work at cost. They were very good about not damaging plants.

WE DID IT IN TWO PHASES. I THINK IT COST ABOUT $18,000 IN TOTAL. THE WORK WAS GREAT. THEY WERE VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. THEY SHOWED UP AND FINISHED THE WORK WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY MADE MINOR CHANGES AT NO CHARGE.

The person who came to do the estimate, Giovani, seemed knowledgeable but he made a couple of comments that made us feel uncomfortable. One being that once the guy who would actually come out to do the work might charge a lot more than their estimate. Once we received the estimate we wanted to discuss it with them but couldn't get them to return our call, and weeks went by. Ultimately we decided not to work with them because they seemed unresponsive, and didn't want to risk having the projects cost a lot more than we had budgeted.

THEY GAVE ME LOTS OF CHOICES AND THEY HELPED ME RANK THINGS IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE. THEY BROKE DOWN THE JOB INTO PORTIONS THAT WERE POSSIBLE FOR ME TOO AFFORD. THIS IS A SMALL COMPANY, THEY WERE VERY KIND. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THE QUALITY OF WORK FROM A YARD AND A HALF WAS EXCELLENT. THEIR EMPLOYEES (HENRY, GEOVANI & EILEEN) WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, DEDICATED AND EXCELLENT WORKERS WHO ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE, NICE AND POLITE. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL EVERY MORNING AND RESPONDED QUICKLY TO MY PHONE CALLS. THEIR WORK WAS PROFESSIONAL FOR COURTESY, CLEANLINESS, DISPOSAL OF CONCRETE AND SOIL. MY PATIO AND DRIVEWAY CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL SO I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.

GEOVANI WAS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL IN PREPARING A WRITTEN QUOTE FOR ME. HE SAID HE WAS NEW AT COMING UP WITH ACCURATE QUOTES, THOUGH, SO I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY JUST BECAUSE I WAS NERVOUS THE JOB WOULD END UP BEING MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HE'D QUOTED ME. I WOULD CONSIDER USING THEM FOR A FUTURE JOB THOUGH.

THEY WERE VERY EXCELLENT. THEY ALSO DID WORK ON ANOTHER HOME THAT I HAVE. YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET.
